Wednesday, April 1st

Joe’s still dressing when Avery arrives. He’s made dinner reservations downstairs – with Phyllis and Jack (re: fundraising for the charity) Fine, it might be an interesting evening, she finally agrees.

Phyllis and Jack arrive at the club – the purpose ofthis dinner is to see if Joe’s passionate about the charity, or her sister.

At CL’s, Cane and Jill butt heads over business. Jill gets final say and that’s that. Cane thinks it time to reassess the way things are structured at Chancellor.

Mike and Lauren are going out to dinner – to celebrate that his treatment is almost over. When Kevin arrives (as summoned) Lauren leaves Mike to scold him (Paul tattled) Now what’s going on??

Dylan drops by Sharon’s – and so do Noah and Courtney; who announce they’re getting married – tomorrow.

Jill isn’t eager to restructure – Cane agreed to be second in command (as frustrating as that may be) Yes, but Jill agreed that Collin wouldn’t be involved – yet he is. Someone mention my name? Collin appears on cue.

Mike wants to know why Kevin hacked into the police computer system. Frustrated to get no answers, he gives up – I don’t have time to worry about you too!

Tomorrow!? Sharon’s shocked. Noah loves this woman – and doesn’t wanna wait – life’s too short. As a cop, Courtney agrees – she’s never been more sure of anything. Sharon’s happy – of course you have my blessing ~hug~

Joe and Avery exchange small talk with Phyllis and Jack. The boys sent off to the bar, Avery tries to convince Phyllis that this is a business dinner – Joe just wants to raise money for the charity. Before the night is over, you’ll see Joe in a new light.

Seated, Avery and Joe talk about the ‘worthwhile cause’ that helps abused women and kids. It’s personal for Joe; he used to be one of those kids. Avery smiles at him proudly.

Jill won’t let Cane send his Father away – we can speak in front of him. Furthermore, she feels his anger stems from his marriage being on the rocks, while she and Collin are more solid than ever. Really? Cane’s supposed to be jealous of a marriage based on blackmail? And FYI, he and Lily are doing just fine. Not buying it, Jill tells Cane to focus more on his marriage. As she joins Lauren on the patio, Collin has two words for Cane; move on.

As Mike flutters around his office, Kevin notes that he’s wound up awfully tight. Mike claims radiation’s going fine – satisfied? No, not at all, Kevin scowls.

As the ladies chat and admire the ring, Noah gets pissed off at Dylan (there to question Sharon about what Faith told him) What’s going on? Sharon asks. Austin was murdered, Noah blurts out – and Dylan thinks you did it.

Sharon’s blown away – she had no idea Austin was murdered. Appreciating that Noah and Courtney believe her innocent, she sends them off to plan their wedding. Now alone, Sharon gripes about Dylan not believing her. Where were you that night? Dylan wants to know – Faith said they were in the woods – what were you doing out there!?

Back at the club, Joe speaks of his Mom taking him to the shelter – they helped her find a job – get back on our feet. Jack’s moved to make a generous contribution – and will ask family and friends to give to Better Days in lieu of wedding gifts. As Avery gushes her thanks, Phyllis watches her closely.

Collin understands Cane wanting to have more power, but Jill won’t let him have it. Well there’s no way in hell Cane will let Collin be Jill’s #2. You played us both. Collin suggests Cane go work elsewhere. I’m not going anywhere, Cane vows.

On the patio, Jill and Lauren update one another; Mike’s treatment seems to be a success (but it’s been a rough couple of days) We’re in our way to normal, Lauren assures her sister.

Not convinced by Mike’s forced enthusiasm, Kevin’s reminded of when he didn’t tell Lauren he had cancer. So, what are you lying to her about this time???

Back at the club’s bar, Cane sits to chat with Lauren – who offers to lend him an ear. Thanks, but a cold beer will do.

Kevin understands that cancer has changed Mike – but he must confide in Lauren. You don’t have to go back to ‘what you were’, move forward. Mike owes Lauren happiness, no matter what it takes.

Phyllis stops by the bar to say hello, then catches Joe as he pays the bill. The way he speaks about the charity (from experience) she thinks he’ll get more generous donations. You think I’m using my past to woo Avery away from Dylan? Joe balks.Well, are you? Avery was the first woman to know who Joe is – we have a deep bond. The deepest, Phyllis agrees.

OK – Sharon will tell the truth – she had a panic attack – Faith fell asleep in the back seat. She wasn’t thinking clearly. Where did you go? Dylan repeats. Sharon sarcastic and pissed; Yeah – I murdered Austin – with my child in the backseat of the car – I used superhuman strength to pull his body out. Giving Dylan a few shoves, Sharon hisses – you think I’m crazy, admit it!

Jack and Phyllis chat at the club. Yes, her sister loves Dylan, but she’s a sucker for the underdog. No, Phyllis won’t warn Avery (who’ll soon find herself drawn to Joe)

Upstairs, Avery gushes – Joe will help so many people with this charity. Ending his clingy thank you hug, Avery bids him good night and pauses in the hallway.

On the patio, Kevin’s not happy to hear that Noah and Courtney told Sharon all. Courtney wants to check the cameras. Noah objects – she could lose her job. Kevin can get Courtney past the firewalls.

Sharon opens her front door and orders Dylan out. Ignoring the order, Dylan can’t deny that he suspects Sharon. This looks real bad, he now leaves.

Back at CL’s, Collin tells Jill that he asked Cane to step aside – prepare for battle. Jill’s not worried – it won’t be much of a fight with Collin at her side (he doesn’t look convinced)

Arriving at the club, Mike pauses to watch Lauren chuckling over drinks with Cane. He ducks out to send Lauren a text. Mike can’t make dinner; work, she pouts briefly. Cane suggests they have dinner together. Why not? they take a seat (as Mike takes another peek, then exits)

Phyllis has no problem with Jack suggesting their guests donate to charity instead of gifts – she has everything she needs ~kiss~

Courtney pulls Noah aside to persuade him; we’ll spend many years together as man and wife, but we need to put an end to this. OK, Noah won’t stop her – but can’t it wait until after the wedding? But since Kevin’s here now … OK – to pull this off, you have to do exactly as I say, Kev instructs Courtney.

Now home, Avery’s so happy to see Dylan (and tells him that she ate with Joe) Dylan got caught up at work too. Avery goes to bed (Dylan stands there like an idiot)

Sharon flashes back to being outside in the woods that night – squinting – a deer in the bright car headlights. Uh oh, she looks worried.

Next; Abby tells Ben that Kyle called; Noah and Courtney are getting married today. Today? What’s the rush? Ben wonders …. Doesn’t she look gorgeous? Summer lets Kyle in. Yes, she does, he replies (as Courtney plays blushing bride) … Sharon panics to Dylan – the real killer can place me at the scene of the crime. He’ll make sure I’m framed for that murder!

My Thoughts: Lol – Courtney pulls Noah aside for a private chat – but he’s no further away from Kevin (sitting at the table FIVE feet away) … Half the town knows that Austin was murdered, yet his death still hasn’t been deemed suspicious by the police. So why hasn’t the killer just moved on? Why stick around leaving clues to a crime that the cops aren’t even pursuing? … Get over yourself Mike – Lauren’s basically with her nephew. And as beautiful as Mrs Baldwin is, Cane seems quite devoted to his equally beautiful (and 20 years younger) wife. That said, Tracey Bregman has fantastic legs …. Sharon chirps that she hasn’t seen Courtney in a while. Well, you know what a cop’s life is like, Courtney replies. Huh? How would Sharon know what a cops’ life is like? Or anyone else who works 40+= hours a week. She hasn’t even played pin-cushion for Chelsea in weeks. I guess she doesn’t need the job anymore (and it never was mentioned in court).. Oh alright, I’ll tell the truth, Sharon says – yet again – she only ever fesses up when her back’s against the wall … WTH is Avery thinking? Having dinner – at the club – with her ex – that’s pretty disrespectful to Dylan; not even giving him a heads up. If he’d have marched in and spotted the cozy couples, fists would be flying (but then again, has Dylan even told Avery that he spent the night at Sharon’s – babysitting) … Jill needs to lose the matronly hair-do and return to her edgy style … Paul had every right to suspend Kevin (fire him even) but tattling to his big brother is inappropriate … You’re my only son, Sharon tells Noah. That you know of (perhaps HE has a twin out there too) …Oh – so Sharon drove around in a storm (with her daughter) because she ‘wasn’t thinking clearly’? That’s a bit alarming … Knowing (and even mentioning) that Joe worked secretly with Victor – and considering Jack knows Victor’s up to something, why wouldn’t he be more suspicious before deciding to write Joe’s charity a cheque? Pat yourself on the back Jack – for making such a ‘generous contribution’? Can’t you just be humble and let someone else describe you and your contribution tax write off as ‘generous’. As for telling the guests to donate – first, who says anyone’s getting you gifts? It’s not like you haven’t received your share of toasters and blenders. And I’m sure if Billy felt inclined to donate to charity, he’d donate to the Delia Project. I’d suggest Jabot publicly sponsor Better Days for good PR – but that’ll backfire once occupancy at the shelter doubles due to women being attacked while wearing the rapey Hex perfume. The only one to benefit will be Avery; when she collects her fee for settling the class action lawsuit.
