Take the computer, have the chair, Vikki snarls – try not to kill any children. He’ll probably just make things worse. How can it be worse?! Adam protests. After Vikki marches out, Adam wonders what she wore to his funeral – a red dress? Flower behind the ear? You’re a callous jackass, Victor booms – she was Delia’s stepmother! Yes, Victor attended Adam’s funeral RELUCTANTLY. Yes – it was huge – Jack, Chelsea and myself – all of three people! Now get to work!

Cane doesn’t know where Hilary is – but nothing about this kidnapper makes sense. You’re saying we’ll never find her!? Lily barks. Cane’s tired of all this – we spend no time together and the kids miss us – when will it stop? When we find Hilary! Or does Cane expect Lily to hold hands and drink champagne??

Back at the boathouse, Neil isn’t sure what meds Hilary needs – but won’t let Gwen go find more. Maybe we should tell Devon. There has to be another solution, Gwen says. Why are you standing by me? Why can’t I let you go? You tried that, Gwen reminds – now we have a second chance (which gives her an idea)

Adam continues to be a petulant child – Victor only cares about his company. You had a loving Mother and a nice stepfather, grew up on a nice farm, went to Harvard, Victor lectures – I was proud of you and offered you every opportunity – why wasn’t it ever good enough? Mike’s arrival interrupts – Chelsea won’t testify – she and Connor are flying to New York tomorrow morning – she’s done with GC and all it entails.

Chloe drops by to visit Chelsea; who announces she’s leaving GC and this nightmare. Assuming Adam’s the nightmare, you protected that nightmare and jumped right back into bed with it, Chloe accuses.

Adam asks Mike to stop Chelsea. How?! Subpoena her. But wait – when Victor filed for visitation to keep Chelsea in town, Adam was pissed. Yes, but this is different – this is ADAM’S wife and son – he’ll fight for his family.

The kids aren’t suffering, Lily denies they’re picking up on her tension and fear. She then gets a call from Devon – I don’t know how much more he can take, she frets. Cane wants to go home. Lily declines – Devon will need her when he gets back.

Paul doesn’t have the manpower to follow Adam. Chris isn’t being fair – the last thing he wants is for a hit and run driver to go free – Adam’s ready to face the consequences. Chris doesn’t believe he’s remorseful – and will make sure he doesn’t slip away again. When Devon and Dylan interrupt, Paul’s not happy – do I even wanna ask what you vigilantes have been up to?

Billy comes home to find Vikki looking at a photo of Delia. He saw Chloe, she’s OK – leaving town before the trial. Yes, Billy’s sure he wants to testify against Adam – and rip the guy into pieces.

You had Adam in your bed. And don’t say it was for Connor – you didn’t have sex for Connor, Chloe sneers. You’re literally spitting on my daughter’s grave right now. Chelsea kept the secret so people could move on. You weren’t doing anyone any favours except Adam! Chloe insists. Chelsea admits that’s true – she wanted her husband to be alive and suddenly he was. But he hadn’t changed. She told Mike she wouldn’t testify for Adam. She won’t let Connor grow up with a fool for a Mother. Knock Knock – it’s Adam.

The shack was empty. Now you know the whole story, Dylan concludes. Paul and Chris are pissed. Devon’s unapologetic – and Dylan confesses to supporting him. You BOTH screwed up! Paul rants – you got nothing out of it – not even proof Hilary’s unharmed. Dylan suggests they track the bills. Fine – Paul will get the serial numbers and hope the guy makes a mistake.

Still at the office, Victor barks about Adam running out when he should be fixing this Paragon problem. Mike knows what kind of friend and Father Victor is, it’s not easy having a son like Adam. It’s a pain in the ass, Victor agrees. But your son’s alive – that must feel like a miracle, Mike meekly suggests.

Good job on washing your hands of Adam and not being an idiot anymore, Chloe isn’t happy with Chelsea (who should change her locks) Adam understands why Chloe wants him dead. Everyone does – you killed my daughter, then let me donate her eyes to YOUR son! Disgusted with both, Chloe leaves. Adam hands Chelsea mail he intercepted on his way in – a subpoena.

Vikki again hears the anger consuming Billy. Yes, but this time he’s not helpless – and he has answers. This time he won’t shoot Adam – just watch him suffer. It’ll never be enough – Vikki suggests another way – forgiveness.

Alone with Chris again, Paul can’t help but be impressed by Dylan having the foresight to ‘plan’ (?) the bills. Yes, he’s proud – he’s thinking like a cop.

At the club, Cane’s furious that Devon and Dylan went to the cops – you put Hilary’s life in danger! Stop it, Lily snaps at him. Dylan thinks they might be able to get some DNA off the ransom note – IF that meets Cane’s approval. Neil calls to hear that Devon didn’t find Hilary – he just needs to know she’s OK. Neil looks at the unconscious Hilary.

At the park, Emma tells Gwen that a doctor at GCM was fired for conduct violations – it was all very hush hush. But yes, Dr Whatisname a brilliant doctor. Now he’s out of a job. Sucks to be him.

You’re just like your Father – using the law to keep me in town! OK – Chelsea will take the stand (and lists the lies she’ll tell the jury) I don’t want to be with you – I don’t want to know you – I don’t want Connor to see your face again. What else can Chelsea say? Nothing – Adam knows she still loves him.

See? This is why I didn’t want to go home, Lily says – Devon needs me. As she stomps off after Devon, Dylan chides Cane for saying he and Devon could have gotten Hilary killed by going to the cops. Devon doesn’t need negativity. The cops need to be involved – whomever has Devon’s money may not even know where Hilary is – but he deserves to be behind bars.
