Seated at Ashley’s desk, Hilary just can’t get over her fabulous self – she has business experience and is proof of Neville’s success. Devon just fired Neil though. It was the right choice, Hilary wonders if her Mom would still be alive if she was tougher on her – you’re saving your Dad, and you saved this research (and millions of lives) What about Ashley? Devon frets – let’s talk to her first. Hilary continues to lean on Devon – together we can be unstoppable. Oh alright, Devon’s sure Ashley will appreciate the help – we all want the same thing ~hug~

Neil’s leaving. To go where? An empty house? Jack CAN understand – you have NO idea what I’ve been through; what nearly drove me back to pills! Tell me what happened then, Neil challenges. Jack finally relents – and tells him how Victor brought a drug dealer from Peruvian prison; he took over my life (on my honeymoon!) How did this happen? Victor was coaching him. In the hallway, Nikki’s stunned by what she’s overhearing.

Neil’s horrified – Victor knew Phyllis was living and sleeping with a dangerous convict!? He not only knew about it, he set it up, Jack adds. Nikki bursts in – Victor would never do that! You’d have called the police if Victor did something that heinous. You’d tell the world. Unless…. Blackmail, she realizes. Oh noooo – Jack wasn’t blackmailed – he kept quiet for Phyllis’ sake. Hurting Victor is not worth hurting my wife! Nikki’s persuaded not to break Jack’s confidence – and gives the apology he’ll never get from Victor (and leaves in tears)

On the patio, Max is shown the onesie, You used to be that tiny, Ben quips. How would you know? You weren’t even there, Max replies.

Natalie leaves a message for Phyllis – please call me – things are getting out of control. Victor walks in unannounced – he’s tying up some loose ends today. Natalie looks nervous.

Adam’s relieved when an obviously distraught Nikki orders club soda. Your husband’s a real piece of work, he comments. Nikki agrees – people wonder why I put up with him. Adam’s one of those people. Nikki’s not sure – why do YOU put up with your Father? He has something on you. No, Adam was foolish enough to think he could have a relationship with Victor. Nikki thinks what Adam really needs is to be running things – I will help you take control.

Work together to rip Victor’s company away from him!? Adam orders another drink. What’s in it for Nikki? Love – to save her marriage and to save Victor from himself. What’s he done now? Adam wonders. Nikki can’t think about it and can’t walk away forever. I love Victor too much to let him live the life he’s living. Letting Adam assume that she’s upset because Victor turned Noah in, Nikki reasons that without work, Victor can focus on the family he claims to love. So, is Adam in?

That call Victor walked in on? Nothing. He had high hopes for this project – but Natalie’s either incompetent or a con artist. Are you firing me? she worries. Basically, Victor lets her know that if she’s playing him, firing her would be the least of Natalie’s problems.

Do NOT offer me money, Victor’s watchdog orders. Luca just wants to say a few good bye’s before he leaves. Summer arrives to introduce herself to the guard as Victor’s granddaughter – she’ll get him fired if she doesn’t get to talk to Luca – alone. She tells Luca that he’s not being shipped off, Adam’s going to kill you. You need to leave. How? Luca has an idea.

Back on the patio, Ben tells Max that the day he was born was the happiest day of his life – he couldn’t be there because he was deployed. Max is over it and has homework to get to. Ben picks up a letter that falls out on the ground. Seems Max got into a fight at school.

Hilary hangs up to tell Devon that she’s arranged a meeting with the FDA and another press interview. Why? Ashley arrives to say she didn’t sign off on those things (Neville at her side as usual) No, but Devon did, Hilary’s just picking up some slack. Oh, so first you fire your Father now you’re edging me out too? Ashley scowls at Devon.

It’s too soon for media – and do I LOOK ‘laid up’ to you? an annoyed Ashley wishes Devon had called her. It doesn’t feel like ‘help’, it feels like an ambush. Asking to speak to Hilary alone, Devon thinks she overstepped. Now she’s annoyed – I breathed new life into this project – what about our future?

Jack wanted to go back to pills – wanted revenge on Victor. What stopped him? My wife – Jack put his energy into rebuilding his marriage. His love for his wife is bigger than his hatred for Victor. Yes, Neil should find something bigger too. Neil can think of something big, and with purpose.
