Mike agrees that Victor should be punished to the full extent of the law – but he must operate within the statutes. Victor won’t, Phyllis argues. Jack doesn’t understand how she can risk her friend being disbarred. As Ben and Abby arrives, Jack warns them to keep it down. Mike hisses across the table that he loves and supports Phyllis – but you’re asking too much of me. He excuses himself to meet Abby and Ben (who needs help not losing his son)

Still at their table, Jack wants Phyllis to back off – he’s had it with her reckless attitude. Phyllis has had it too. As she stands, Jack does too (and grabs her arm to say she’s not leaving til they’ve talked this through)

Mike follows the Rayburns into GCM (seems he and the social worker are on friendly terms) Ben swears he never laid a hand on his son. That;s not how this works, he’s told.

In an exam room, Dylan can’t tell Max when he’s going on. You’re not in trouble but your Dad might be. Maybe he deserves it, Max says. Dylan knows he’s been through a lot of change lately. Your Dad’s doing his best – he loves you. People are wondering if you’re safe with him. I’ll have to live with strangers? Max doesn’t like that idea. This is a serious situation – is there something you want to tell me? Dylan coaxes.

Jack’s trying to keep Phyllis out of trouble – he loves her too much to let this happen. We have enough ammunition against Victor – his family’s turned on him. We’re going to get justice. He can’t hurt us. OK – Phyllis will try it Jack’s way ~hug~

Victor thanks Judge Moxley for coming. He’s happy to hear she’s assigned to his case. We both understand what that means. Elise does – You’re blackmailing me again. Holding our indescretion years ago over my head – to use every time a Newman’s in trouble. Yes, Judge Mosley knows exactly what she has to do. Good, Victor smirks. Thank you for coming by.

At Top of the Tower, Nikki’s sure Victor’s going to prison. Oh really? Then what is Judge Moxley doing here? Vikki frets – as she lists all she has on her plate; running the company, fending off Dad and Adam, planning a wedding etc.

Back at CL’s, Nick thinks Sage should chill out so she doesn’t coma across as manipulative. He’s then summoned away by Vikki, so says bye to Sage and Shawn.

Sure, Nick’s coming right over – but Vikki wonders how helpful he’ll be when he finds out what she’s asking of him.

Ben tells Sarah about the trauma his son’s been through – he’s been acting out. Yes, signs that there might be trouble at school. Ben found out his sister was murdered – he raised his voice. Abby was there and saw the whole thing. Sarah needs more than that to close her investigation. Dylan then calls all four into the exam room. Max admits that he exaggerated.

Sage also craved donuts when she was pregnant – but hints that she needs to eat properly for the baby. Shawn bristles – she’s taking her vitamins and exercising – no need to come down on me.

Nick’s updated on his Mom and sister being thrown out of Dad’s office. He can’t focus on Newman – he and Sage are adopting a baby, soon. Please consider coming back to work to help – the company’s in crisis, Vikki implores.

Jack and Phyllis march into Victor’s office – how does it feel to lose everything? Victor’s not brought to his knees by an arrest. If anything Jack should worry about charges against HIM when the story comes out. Jack gloats – not one member of the ship’s crew died. You paid them to hide. You’ll rot in a cell for 30+ years. Don’t count on it, Victor warns.

Max tells the social worker that his Dad’s never hurt him. I’m really sorry. Ben is too. Mike doesn’t see why Max can’t be released to his Father. No, a Judge needs to sign off on it. Sarah reluctantly pauses so Ben can reassure Max that he’ll always protect him (but she can’t allow a hug) I love you, they exchange as Max is lead out.

Victor needs to be forced to step down – he’s lost perspective, Nikki insists. Nick sees another solution – let’s all step back and let the company consume him. If he’s truly alone at the top, maybe he’ll finally hit rock bottom.
