Dylan blames Sharon’s nightmares on his poking around for answers – he’s just used to everything crumbling around him. Nick calls to say his Dad was stabbed – Mom’s freaking out. We want him transferred somewhere safe. Dylan updates Sharon, notes Sully’s a bit warm – then leaves.

As Sage is gushing about how wonderful the open adoption is, she and Nick find the hospital room empty.

Shawn’s left nothing behind but a Dear Nick and Sage letter – she’s grateful for all they’ve done for her and hopes one day they can forgive her. He’s gone, Sage is shellshocked in Nick’s arms.

Worried about Sully’s fever, Sharon decides to take him in for a check up.

Dylan hugs Nikki. He called the prison – they don’t know who stabbed Victor. He doesn’t want to talk to Nikki but maybe he’ll talk to you Dylan (a non-Newman) Did your Mother send you in here? Victor doesn’t need his help either. Dylan confides that the camera outside his cell was turned off before the assailant went in – so who has it in for you?

No, Victor can’t ID the guy who attacked him – he just woke up in the hospital. As for your Mother, give her a message – I can take care of myself. You want to go back, so you can repay who did this to you, Dylan guesses Victor’s plan.

Billy interrupts Phyllis and Jack kissing to announce that Vikki plans to sue, and Mike’s helping her. Jack lashes out at Billy (who insists this wasn’t his screw up) But don’t worry – I’ll fix this! Billy marches out. You want to follow him? Jack asks. Hell no, Phyllis stays put.

Mike wants Vikki to settle with Billy out of court. No, he’s too arrogant, she argues – so sure he’s right. Yes, Mike’s on Vikki’s side. OK – so tell me how I can sue Jabot and win.

The doctor assures that Sully’s fever is likely due to teething. No, it’s not from the meds Sharon was taking while pregnant. As Sully continues to fuss in his stroller, Nurse Stevens comes over to fuss over him.

Billy needs to put on his big boy pants and not let Vikki get to him, Phyllis opines. Jack goes over when spotting Nikki at the bar – looks like you need a friend. Nikki mopes about Victor – prison might cost him his life and it’s all my fault.

You husband was just asking me about Dr Anderson yesterday, Nurse Stevens informs. Yes, he still has questions, and so do I – Sharon asks what medications Dr Anderson prescribed to her. Nurse Stevens doesn’t know – but would like to hold Sully.

On the patio, a depressed Sage asks Nick if he’s relieved. A little, he wanted the baby – but now at least they know. Why does it always have to be so hard for us? Sage whines. It’s hard for Shawn too, Nick says – she stepped up and took responsibility – she learned about love – from us. Yeah, she gets a life lesson and a child – what do we get? Sage sniffles.

Phyllis is at Billy’s – he’s unapologetic – why can’t Jack be happy? Why must he constantly scold me? Because this lawsuit is a legitimate threat – make things right with Vikki (and yes, this is Phyllis’ advice, not Jacks’) Billy insists on pouring Phyllis a drink. To Passkey, and the ones who made it happen – to us.
