At NE, Leslie deposes Kevin, Mariah and Natalie individually. They lie effectively as they tell the tale of Passkey. Leslie then trips Mariah up by mentioning her brother Tyler. Now it’s time for the tough questions.

Billy appreciates the front row ticket – Johnny will steal the show playing an acorn. They share a joke and a smile. You’re a great Father, Vikki praises. Billy hopes their kids feel loved and safe. They shake hands upon agreeing not to let the battle for Passkey effect the kids.

Jack’s horrified to hear that Hilary blackmailed Ashley over her health. Meh, Ashley doesn’t care about that power-hungry, social climber. Let’s concentrate on what matters. She may return to Jabot at some point in the future. Jack whines about Billy – we’re losing him. Dad would say ‘be true to yourself’. Hearing Jack’s being deposed, Ashley asks what he’ll do. Arriving, Phyllis would like to know too – Summer could go down with her and Billy.

Now at NE, a distressed Summer asks Luca why he cares so much how she testifies. It’d break his heart if she was charged with perjury – and it might jeopardize their potential future. Leslie shows Mariah out. Knock em dead snowflake, she says – then chides Luca on his bedroom eyes and scoffs that he’s just there to support a friend.

Alone, Phyllis tells Ashley that the truth is complicated. Ashley detects that her brother is being pushed into doing something he doesn’t want to do. Sure, the other brother supports Phyllis – but THAT’S not the brother you’re MARRIED to. Yes, Ashley did leave Jabot, but it will always be MY family business. Billy and Jack will always be MY family. Don’t drag either one down, she warns.

Is Neil at the lab to celebrate? Uh no, Neil tells Hilary that Jack might not be feeling the love anymore. The subject of you blackmailing Ashley somehow came up. Your job on the Foundation board might be over before it begins.

Leslie deposes Summer – you told Vikki that Natalie was in communication with Billy and Phyllis while under contract to Newman. No, Summer misspoke – she made a mistake. You’re aware that a lie in this office is the same as in front of a Judge and Jury? Yes. No further questions. Summer brushes past Jack and hugs Luca. As Jack takes a seat, Leslie finally hopes to get some honesty. Jack will give nothing less.

Leslie thanks Jack for his testimony – you’re free to go. Vikki arrives to say she hopes Jack told the truth. He said ‘what needed to be said’. At least my Father doesn’t pretend to be something he’s not (she knows Jack lied) Now alone, Leslie tells Vikki that it didn’t go well – there’s no witnesses or paper trail. Drop the case. You mean let Billy win? Vikki growls.

At Billy’s, Ashley denies she’s there on Jack’s behalf. When did he become such a coward? Billy rants – he’s so afraid to lose, he doesn’t remember how to win. I saved Jabot – and the family. Shut up and pull your head out, Ashley tells Billy that he’s lucky to be alive. I almost died ~hug~

I lied – I hope you’re all happy, Summer reports (at CL’s) Mariah kisses her full on the mouth. And as the Passkey gang gather to salivate over the money they’ll soon have access to, Summer tells Luca she needs to go (leaving him to frown at the celebrators)

An ‘arrangement’ with Ashley? Neil calls it blackmail. You had no right, Hilary insists. Devon stands by his wife. Neil acted for the foundation – it’s to help people, and based on trust and honesty. You sabotaged me, Hilary hisses. No, you sabotaged yourself, Neil leaves Hilary to rant ‘n rave. Devon stops her from throwing stuff – what’s most important is ‘us’ – building a family, a life ~kiss~

Ashley tells Billy to stop fighting with Jack – do something with your second chance at life. Billy will if Ashley will.

Summer goes back to the office to see Vikki (who notes her deposition contradicts what she told her) I know this was a difficult choice – it’s OK – I understand. Did your Mother force you to lie for her? Summer looks miserable.
