Victor’s only concern is surviving (thanks to Nikki) He doesn’t care that she’s drunk. Hiring a drug lord is what put you here, Nick defends his Mom, who stood behind Victor. But he doesn’t give a damn about the woman who put him here!

Back at Newman, Mike’s on the same team as Natalie – he wants to know who’ll program Passkey’s updates. Natalie would never work for Newman. Mike doesn’t want her to waste her talent, and never mind the status of his license, we need to work together. Tell Vikki the hard work is done, Natalie bumps into the desk as she exits.

Nick doesn’t believe his Dad no longer cares about Nikki or the rest of the family. Mom needs you – she feels like she’s lost hope. Next time she steps into traffic it might be worse. Talk to her – for your grandkids. You may regret this for the rest of your life. Victor won’t forget everyone testifying against him.

Victor’s my husband, Nikki reminds (and blames herself) He loves this control over you, Paul argues – this is your chance to break free of his head games. She has to do it on her own, Dylan stops Paul. After Nikki runs off, Dylan admits that Nikki’s drinking again. Paul says one must face the truth, no matter how much it hurts.

Patty has a mental illness, not amnesia. Dr Sandy dosed you good with magic pills (like she did when she saw her talking to Sharon) Yes, Patty told Sharon she wasn’t pregnant – because she wasn’t.

We used to do everything together, now I’m your charity case? Thanks. It’s true – Kevin pays the rent and buys groceries. He won’t hand over his money. When Mike breaks it up, Kevin whines to him. It’s amazing how money changes people. Yeah, amazing, Mike agrees.

Nurse Stevens is sorry the adoption didn’t go through. Sage is here to ask about her relationship with Dr Anderson – you were accused of euthanizing patients. You owed her for pulling strings. How did you pay her back? Nurse Stevens is alarmed that Sage knows so much.

Sharon has a son named Sully – he’s Paul’s grandson. Patty talks about magic bird seed – and cowbirds laying their eggs in other birds’ nests.

After putting Sully down for a nap, Dylan apologizes for what Paul coming on so strong. That’s OK, she knows he’s just worried about her; you two are alike. Dylan never wants to disappoint his son. Nikki gets a call from Nick; Victor’s ready to talk to you.

Back at CL’s, Kevin defends Natalie to Mike – she’s done her job. She doesn’t owe Newman or anyone anything. Kevin can’t wait to hear what she comes up with next. Mike worries that Natalie’s not concerned about upgrades – and so does Mariah (who notices Kevin’s new watch) He has a lunch to get to (with Natalie, Mariah gripes)

A distressed Angela tells Sage that she paid Dr Anderson back by providing good care to patients. She’s sorry Sage never got to say goodbye to her son. I never meant any harm. I have to get back to work, she leaves Sage even more puzzled.

Sneaking in to watch Dylan with Sully, Sharon flashes back to telling Mariah that she’ll get pregnant and various talks with Patty (and her just saying that she wasn’t pregnant) Handing Sully over, Dylan leaves Sharon to look worried.

Victor shuffles into the visiting room to sit across from Nikki. ‘Nick insisted’ he scowls (as Nikki gushes about how much she misses him) What do you want? Victor grunts.

Now seated, Mariah complains about Natalie coming between her and Kevin. He and Natalie are both geeks – she sees the way they look at each other. I’m afraid, she admits.
