Still in the office, Ben believes part of Max wanted Abby to fall and lose the baby. I love you son, I always will, but I need you to be honest with me. I want the truth.

Ben knows Max was in pain when his Mom died – Abby and then the baby coming didn’t help. You tried to erase Mom, Max wails. So you set Abby up to fall, Ben concludes. I wanted to make her go away, Max worried his Dad would love the baby more than him – I wanted you back. Ben hugs his son.

Billy tells Johnny the story of a lonely king who lived in a big castle at the top of a hill. He had a son the same age as you. The Prince lived with his Mommy, at the bottom of the mountain. They fought a dragon one day and the Prince decided to live with his Dad. The king wasn’t lonely anymore. The Mom? She stayed at the bottom of the mountain. Just you and me buddy. Is that cool? Billy’s rewarded with a giggle.

Vikki’s at Hank’s bar. Is Travis off tonight? Just finished his shift, Travis comes out to say ‘Tori’ would like wine or tequila. And she’ll need quarters for E7 on the ‘juke’. Did she have a rough day catering to the big wigs at work? Kind of. His advice is to go after what she wants.

Phyllis and Jack have just sat down to have dinner at the club when Fiona sashays over. Aren’t you curious as to whether your brother and I will be doing business together? No, Jack doesn’t care. He’s sure Dillman’s will honour their contract. Contracts are made to be broken – and she’s dropping both Jabot and Brash n Sassy. After Fiona leaves, an angry Jack heads off to confront Billy.

In private, Neville tells Dylan that he’s grown fond of the rapscallion; Max is very bright. Dylan’s pissed off at the implication that he wants to ‘do this’ to his friend’s son. Neville wants Dylan to make sure Max gets help. Do the right thing, even if it causes his Father pain. Max’s ability to disassociate is very troubling. Neville knew a child like Max once. He needs someone; he needs YOU detective.

Still in the office, Ben promises not to leave Max – but you need help with this anger. It’ll get better. You won’t be alone. I’ll be with you. Dylan comes in – Child Services is here. Neither are happy that Ben can’t go along (he wants his friend to bend the rules for him)

Over wine, Vikki wants to be free of ‘it’. No, she can’t leave town; she has too many attachments. Travis thinks she needs a change. You can find a job shuffling papers in an office anywhere. Vikki’s surprised to hear that Travis owns the ‘dinghy’ bar. I guess we’re both stuck here, they decide.

At the bar, Fiona tells Phyllis that she didn’t sleep with Billy (and expects a thank you for not telling Jack that she slapped his brother) Phyllis told Jack. Yeah, but you didn’t tell him it’s because you’re jealous.

Billy lets Jack in – yes, the kids are fine alone in the playroom. This can’t wait, Jack announces that Phyllis told him what happened between the two of them (Billy looks worried)

And what did Phyllis tell Jack? That she came to reason with Billy, found Fiona here and slapped him. Yes, but being slapped is nothing new to Billy. You blew it with everyone; your strongest ally, your ex wife, your family etc. Oh, and Dillman’s will no longer carry Jabot OR Brash n Sassy. Fiona doesn’t want anything to do with our war. Billy quotes Victor – it’s just business. Where does this end?! Jack fumes.
