Billy claims that Bethany was on the back of his bike – she’s a friend. All grumble about this ‘friend’ leaving Billy unconscious on the pavement. At least she called 911 – that was good of her Annoyed with herself for dropping everything, Vikki huffs out. Phyllis follows – please, don’t go. Billy’s acting out – he needs you. No, he hasn’t moved on – he’s lying.

At Hank’s, Travis flashes back to catching Vikki announcing NE’s donation to the foundation.

Did Victor ever talk about Adam in connection to the murder of Constance Bingham? Paul wonders. No, we only talk about his desire to reconcile with his family. Paul explains that Sage’s journal details Adam poisoning Constance (which lines up with the coroner’s report) Adam once framed Victor with a faked journal. Isn’t that something? Paul thinks it amazing; Victor is looking for forgiveness, the last thing on his mind is retribution. Dr Gates believes that (and Victor) He’s lucky to have an advocate like you, Paul thanks the doctor for her time.

Still at the lab, Abby doesn’t know when Max will be released, or where he’ll live. No, she hasn’t seen him (the doctors don’t think he’s ready) Ben arrives to update that Billy’s fine, and that Max is having brain scans. They think something’s wrong with him physically? So, he’s not responsible for what he did? Abby’s doesn’t seem impressed.

Max has been talking to therapists for hours every day. They brought in a neurologist, Ben explains – it was court ordered. Abby’s optimistic – this might be something they can fix. Ben gave permission for the tests but worries what they might show. If this is what Ben fears it might be, it’s terrifying.

When Dr Gates tells Victor that Paul came to see her, he guesses someone told him that she went to Sage’s memorial – they think I may have told you family secrets. Don’t worry, Dr Gates didn’t tell Paul that Victor believes Adam poisoned Constance. She wouldn’t betray his confidence. Victor doesn’t want her to lie to the police. She didn’t – she made her own call. And what can Victor do for Meredith in return? I can think of something, she says coyly.

Billy isn’t serious about this one, he hasn’t moved on, Phyllis assures Vikki – he’s mad at the world because Victor being in jail didn’t fill the void (neither did gambling or sleeping around) The only thing that can give Billy real joy is you. Don’t give up on him. Vikki had Billy fired to save him. He doesn’t love me now – something’s changed. He’s moved on – Vikki can feel it (and she’s moved on too)

Victor owes Meredith so much. No – she just hopes he knows she wouldn’t betray his confidence. I’m someone you can trust. Paul made a horrendous accusation – he said that Adam set you up for murder with a fake journal and that you’d do the same in retaliation. No, she doesn’t think that true. Meredith knows who Victor is. He takes her hands and stares intently into her eyes – I have to get back to my cell. Looking verklempt (that’s right, I said it; verklempt. And yes, spellcheck did correct my spelling) Meredith asks him to stop as he gets to the door.

At Hank’s, Vikki says they need to talk. Travis disagrees – she can slum it with the bartender taking over in 10 minutes. That’s not what this is – Vikki never lied. Travis scoffs at ‘poor working girl Tori’. I saw you in all your privileged Newman glory – here’s 5 million peasants. You broke our deal by following me, Vikki’s annoyed. Travis is frustrated he’s struggling financially – you wouldn’t understand. Vikki thinks maybe she can help.

Jill and Jack both scold Billy for rubbing Vikki’s nose in it (mentioning that bimbo) I was in an accident, I wasn’t thinking clearly – and Billy knows Vikki’s moved on anyway. No, you didn’t see her face when she heard you were in an accident. You could have killed yourself! What the hell are you thinking?! Jill shouts.
