Adam wants Chelsea to stop worrying. He DOES feel like he has the upper hand. If it seems like Ian’s about to stab Adam in the back, he’ll signal Mike and Ian won’t be put on the stand. We have the power, not Ian. Let’s not waste time worrying – we pay Mike for that ~kiss~

Has Ian been spreading lies about Dr Gates? Victor wonders. The warden notes that Meredith’s taken an interest in Victor. YOU might be getting better but the doctor’s getting worse. The warden won’t let anyone take advantage of the compassionate physician – do your time – let me worry about Ian and Dr Gates. Cross the boundaries and your time in solitary will be extended.

So you think you know the real Victor Newman? He’s a master of manipulation, the Williams hope Meredith isn’t fooled. She doesn’t want THEM to be fooled. Ian bragged that he’d take the stand to say that Victor’s framing his son. He’s a liar who had Victor sent to solitary. Chris wonders if Meredith would be willing to say all this under oath.

On the rooftop, Jack’s on the phone having the corporate jet prepped for a romantic trip to Barbados. No, Phyllis isn’t the lucky one, I am ~click~ Putting his phone away, Jack smiles to himself.

Jack deserves better than this, Phyllis huffs. So do WE, Billy doesn’t have a crystal ball – but something’s pulling us together. Billy, Phyllis sighs in her lover’s arms. This is more than chemistry, Billy would give anything to sweep Phyllis into his arms (which she leans into once again – me too)

Victor flashes back to getting a visit (the nervous brunette’s face is not revealed) You should know what I’m asking of you. I’m here because some bad people testified against me. My family convinced the jury to convict me. Victor wants them punished. Most of all, this applies to someone who you hold in contempt as much as I do, Adam.

Meredith’s been warned about Victor, but after treating his emotional scars from his family turning their backs on him so callously, she won’t do so. Ian’s a liar. Yes, Meredith is willing to say that under oath. Here’s my card. Thanks for listening. Paul’s left to say wow – Victor has her brainwashed or she’s telling the truth. Never mind – let’s go home. Mike runs in – he wants to save them embarrassment; he has a witness. Is it Ian? Chris has a more credible witness; Meredith Gates, Paul wipes the smile off Mike’s face and walks his wife out.

Mike calls Adam – we have a problem, a big one.

Phyllis has to go. Billy thinks they can make it work – by sneaking around. He knows it’s hard on Phyllis – you share a life, a bed with Jack. It’s up to her whether they end this tonight or continue. Whatever Phyllis decides, Billy’s feelings for her won’t change.

Laying in his bunk, Victor flashes back to telling the mystery woman that he’ll put her in touch with a Micheal Angelo who can revise a woman’s diary. I’ll pay handsomely for that.

Adam and Chelsea accost Meredith at CL’s. She has nothing to feel guilty for (certainly not about testifying for the prosecution) Ian’s lying. Victor loves his family, especially you Adam. He’s covering for you. Wake up – you’re being played, Chelsea’s annoyed. Meredith thinks that Adam’s his Father’s son. If anyone’s naive, it’s YOU. Am I being naive? Chelsea’s left to wonder.
