Lily hates to see Cane so worried about Billy self-destructing bringing down Brash n Sassy. You’re the one doing all the work. She then suggests they watch the interview at home together.
Billy lists a few of the people he’s dragging down (even Cane) I’m a liability. Jill won’t accept his resignation – you’re staying and that’s that. She then gets a call – the interview’s about to air. Oh, this should be good, Billy warns.
Brace yourself Mother, Billy quips. Watching at home, Lily and Cane are both surprised that Hilary cleaned the interview up (instead of making them look like bickering fools) At GC Buzz, Devon praises Hilary. Billy’s surprised by the edit too – but it’s about to change soon. Jill’s ‘delighted’ by Cane’s performance thus far (especially when he credits her with making magic by putting the team together) Billy laughs – crisis averted thanks to Hilary. Back to GC Buzz – Hilary looks dissatisfied with the end result.
Mariah thinks Patty will catch on that Sharon’s stalling – and will tell the world that she’s raising Nick’s son. Sharon will go back to visit Patty – tell her to act out of control. Then Paul will be able to get her moved (and Sharon will pretend that she’s going to bust Patty out during transport) Mariah will go in Sharon’s place (her Mom will be recognized) Nick then brings Faith home and after she runs upstairs, he scolds Sharon for not telling him about the crank calls. Dylan comes home to ask Nick to stay and keep an eye on Sharon while he’s out of town.
Assuring Dylan that she’ll keep her Mom safe, Mariah leaves him to tell Sharon that finding the phone doesn’t mean this is over. Nick promises to keep everyone safe until Dylan gets back.
Paul’s at the psych facility security office – there to see his sister Patty.
Cane and Vikki should be running the company, Billy insists. Jill knows he’ll come to his senses soon and live up to his potential. Sure Billy’s a pain in the ass but he also has unique perspective – you can do this if you get out of your own way. Live up to your contract or I’ll sue. When Cane arrives, Billy leaves him to hear that Jill refused to let Billy resign. It’s my company, my decision – Cane would do well to remember that.
Still at GC Buzz, Devon wonders what everyone’s saying about the interview online. Oh. My. God, Hilary’s stunned by whatever she’s reading.
Sharon tells Nick not to worry – Dylan’s overreacting; the ranch is teeming with security. Nick bends over a sleeping Sully. He’ll be there too – there’s kids in the house. Sharon looks worried.
Hey Pattycake, it’s Paulie (he creeps in) How are you doing? Seeing you in your room is much nicer than through plexiglass. Paul tears up at Patty’s lack of response.
They hated it, Hilary gives Devon the verdict – and they hated me. Snoozefest! Boring! I miss the old host, she reads aloud. There’s also comments that Hilary only got the job because she’s married to GC Buzz’s new billionaire owner, not due to her talent.
