Lily’s on the bench watching as Cane play basketball with the kids when he suddenly takes a nasty fall.

Filing back into the building, Hilary seems to want Mariah’s input on a story (on Deacon Sharpe!) then dismisses her to rhyme off a long lunch order.

Jack’s back at the office to tell Phyllis that no, he didn’t get the envelope – the fire alarm went off. No, he couldn’t go back in. Go ahead – say I told you so. Instead, Phyllis is delighted to produce the blue envelope. Jack tries to hide how impressed he is.

Lily helps Cane hobble off the court momentarily. Let’s play some horse, he insists he’s fine and limps back over to the kids.

On the phone ordering Hilary’s lunch, Mariah overhears her using her advice regarding the Deacon Sharpe story (let’s just call a snake a snake) She adds a dragon roll with eel sauce to the order.

Returning to NE to see Victor (who’s not in) Travis warns Natalie that discretion is the key to success – learn to keep your mouth shut. So I shouldn’t tell you who called? Natalie hands over a message. Michelle? Travis looks at the piece of paper.

Back at BnS, Billy leaves a message for Phyllis – hope I was able to help (he’s worried about her and Jack) Returning to the office, Vikki’s pleased to see that Billy’s actually done some work (but not pleased enough to stick around and chat)

Phyllis retells sweet-talking her way past a security guard. The papers are safe – you’re safe, mission accomplished, she tells Jack. You’ve proven you can’t be trusted, he reminds that he didn’t want her help. And as they wrestle over the infamous blue envelope, hot coffee spills on Phyllis shirt (which Jack promptly rips open)

Next: What do you want me to do? I want you to make sure the Abbott’s don’t get away with this, Victor instructs his guy … Hilary tells Devon that she just needs one more big story. There’s got to be something juicy going on in this town. Mariah eavesdrops …. A weepy Nick talks to a framed photo of him and Sage – this lie has gone on much too long. Today I set things right.

My Thoughts: The Ashby twins are beyond spoiled. Do they not realize that most parents work Monday to Friday? It’s not like they’ve ever spent much time with Lily and Cane (who spent the majority of their time at the club before Cane went to work at Brash n Sassy) Why is Cane working longer hours than his teammates anyway? It’s not like Jill gives him any credit for it. That all said, I can’t blame Cane and Lily for not wanting to be around the annoying twins. Watching Matty talk with her mouth literally overstuffed with food was nauseating … Nice to see Kevin and Billy all buddy buddy. Of course that’ll be blown to hell when it’s revealed that Billy is Bella’s Father – which should be around the same time it’s revealed that Nick isn’t Christian’s Father. How many times can Nick possibly have Fatherhood revoked? Mind you, if he were that great a Dad, he’d have noticed that Noah’s disappeared …. Deacon Sharpe? Why not? GC’s full of snakes anyway.
