As Faith eavesdrops, Victor and Nikki talk about how much Nick cares for Chelsea. She runs down when Abby arrives with some files. Oh, what an asset Abby is to Newman. Victor mentions her ‘incubator’ idea – free rent for shares in start-up companies. But, as Vikki pointed out, most start-ups fail or get acquired by another company. It’s too risky. That’s the way the cookie crumbles, Abby shrugs it off and goes off with Faith.
Gloria rants ‘n raves about what ‘that woman’ might have done. Mike and Kevin come down to announce what everyone’s assumed – there won’t be a wedding. I’m here angel, a cloying Gloria will help her son get through this. Ester and Chelsea return to update that Chloe’s car is gone. What did she do? all wonder. That psychotic bitch killed Adam! Chelsea stuns all.
Remember the tracking device Nick tucked under the wheel-well of Chloe’s car? Well he’s in his car following her (as Chloe continues to drive and cry)
Nikki’s impressed with the way Victor’s mentoring Abby (which gives them more time together) How about another family dinner? she suggests – tonight. Victor already has plans for an old-fashioned candlelight dinner after Faith goes to bed. Turning off his phone (as it rings) Victor turns his attention back to Nikki.
Chelsea informs the guests that Chloe killed her husband. She manipulated a crime scene and fooled a forensic team? Scott’s dubious. As Ester wobbles off, Kevin (and others) have a hard time believing these ‘serious accusations’ – you drove her to a breakdown. Chelsea shows them Adam’s ring – how did Chloe get this if she wasn’t at the cabin with Adam?
Cuddling on the sofa, Nikki reminisces about Victor once wheeling in a rack of gowns for her to choose from. Well whaddaya know, Victor’s having a gown and accessories being delivered from Fenmores as we speak. Flashback to a much younger Nikki finding a pearl ring Victor had hidden in an oyster. You haven’t missed a trick, Nikki gushes like a schoolgirl. His phone going off again, Victor instructs Nikki to go take a bubble bath. Discussing tonight’s menu, Nikki’s annoyed when Victor gets another message – and leaves.
Paul now at the estate, Chelsea quotes Chloe – ‘I blew up the cabin. I wanted Adam to die’. You have to lock her up for good this time! Kevin’s still in denial – nobody’s locking up Chloe – she didn’t kill anybody. Chelsea denies tricking Chloe – that makes no sense! Nick figured it out a long time ago. He went to Paul about it. Is that true? Paul confirms it is. Kevin insists he was with Chloe that night. Not all night, Chelsea knows she went through a passageway in her closet. Kevin flashes back to sending Chloe up to bed that night while he slept on the couch. Sitting on the stairs, Father Todd consoles a devastated Ester. Back in the living room, Mariah doesn’t want to cause Kevin any more pain but this is a story – better me than Hilary. Scott flips – you’re going to use this for ratings?! Chelsea apologizes to Kevin – she didn’t want to believe it either. Taking Adam’s ring from the destroyed groom, Chelsea leaves.
Nikki tells Faith and Abby that she and Victor will be having a special dinner tonight – and it’s thanks to Abby taking on more responsibility at NE. Faith’s excited when invited over to Abby’s for a sleepover.
