At the park cafe, Reed’s disappointed that whoever he’s texted doesn’t know Mattie from Walnut Grove – sorry dude. On cue, she arrives to basically explain that she’s guarded because of her overprotective Dad and brother. Reed can relate – his little sister takes karate. Mattie jots her number down.

Now seated at the club, Juliet’s willing to settle. Hilary’s not having it – you deserve compensation for your pain and suffering. Don’t give up. Juliet wants it to be over. Hilary thinks the truth should come out. Sure Juliet’s risking her reputation but the risk is justified. Juliet’s phone goes off – it’s Leslie. The Judge must have ruled.

Mike brings bad news to Vikki and Cane at BnS – sorry but the Judge has decided to let this go to trial.

Mike softens the blow for Vikki and Cane – this is merely a formality, the Judge isn’t taking sides. Leslie’s good at crafting stories and claims she has proof. On cue, Leslie arrives with an offer to make the spotlight on BnS disappear.

Seated together at the park, Reed thanks Mattie for her number (which he promises not to stalk her with) They then discuss Waltzing Matilda (an Australian song and her real name, that Reed better not call her)

Tessa downplays seeing her ex in GC. Sharon relays that Noah thinks she’s scared enough of him to leave town. Noah has nothing to worry about but Tessa thinks it sweet that he’s concerned about her.

Scott returns to Victor’s office to go another round with Abby (who’s pissed that Victor’s showing him favouritism and she’s not involved in the new project) When Scott scoffs at her experience in media as the Naked Heiress, Abby claims that she’s more than a landlord – her incubator project will be more successful than his digital media company. Game on! she slams out.

Leslie’s at BnS to negotiate a settlement. Cane’s insulted that she believes him guilty – Vikki thinks sexual harassment a serious topic IF the victim’s telling the truth – Mike wonders how big a settlement they’re talking. Both he and Vikki laugh at the figure. Juliet’s lying, Cane tells Leslie as she leaves. He then asks Vikki to settle.

At the park, Sharon and Scott compare notes. The same guy who’s got Tessa so scared is the same guy Abby’s gone into business with. Could he be trouble?

Back at CL’s, Abby and Zack are both excited to be testing the dating app. Since both are single, they decide to test it together.

Leslie’s not surprised that Neil’s summoned her to meet him (at the club) She’s just doing her job and has nothing against Cane. Neil knows she can’t talk about the case but isn’t happy to hear that Hilary’s the one who referred it to her.
