Reed joins his Mom as she’s ordering a stiff drink after a hard day. She had to pay off a disgruntled ex-employee and let go of a valued employee.

Alone at home, Lily goes over everything in her head – how she defended Cane – the humiliating way she found out. Mattie comes home to see why her Dad didn’t answer her text (he left his phone behind) Dissuaded from pursuing an internship at Brash n Sassy, Mattie then informs that her new friend is Reed Hellstum – Dad’s boss is his Mom. Weird huh?

Juliet’s pregnancy wasn’t my news to tell – Hilary didn’t go on the air (or to Lily) with it. Lily and the twins are innocent victims, she concludes. Jordan reports that Lily’s holding it together well. Hilary thinks Lily’s too quiet – she’s probably looking for a man to cheat on Cane with.

Cane’s not looking for sympathy from Juliet – he wants her to take a paternity test – right now.

Mike ends his call thanking Paul. Kevin never boarded his flight to Tahiti, he updates Ester (who’s mighty relieved when Kevin walks in for a group hug)

Mike and Ester ask what happened to Kevin’s face. Oh, nothing – just a little spill on a hike. No, Kevin wasn’t in Tahiti – he’s moving to Oregon and taking Bella with him.

Disagreeing with Hilary, Jordan doubts Lily’s out for payback – she’s determined to stand by her man and keep her family together.

Mattie can tell that something’s wrong, it involves work – is Dad in trouble? She wants to hear it from her Mom, not GC Buzz.

Reed’s not sure if he’s ‘dating’ Mattie or not – she’s Cane’s daughter – crazy coincidence huh? What’s wrong? Vikki frowns – Cane’s the employee I had to fire today.

It’s a simple blood test, Cane’s already made the appointment. If Juliet’s not lying there’s nothing to lose. Let’s do it, she agrees as both head out.

Mariah surprises Sharon with her question … Please tell me you understand and you’re not going to make this harder than it already is, Kevin appeals to Mike …. Nikki seems excited – I am ready to walk out onto that stage tomorrow. You’re not doing that, Nick replies.
