As the stalker watches through the window, Cane calls/facetimes Lily – he was asleep earlier when she called and celebrated a bit too much last night. Finding an earring in his bed, Cane looks troubled (as one would when they can’t remember what happened the night before)
The Newmans greet the Baldwins at the opera. Scott’s uh great – he’s acclimating. Phyllis is keeping him company. After Nikki goes to schmooze with donours, Lauren doesn’t know how she’ll ever be able to thank Victor. Taking their seats, Mike worries about what Victor will ask of Lauren.
Victor then greets Ashley (who comments that a co-worker is using Jack’s ticket since he’s snowbound) Neil arrives to introduce his friend Lois (the reporter everyone already knows) When Ashley quietly wonders why he brought her, Neil claims to be getting PR for the foundation. Ashley somehow gets the impression that he’s open to professional challenges. As Lois wonders who the ‘hunk’ is, a dressed-to-impress Ravi joins Ashley. Pulling out fancy opera glasses, he has no intention of falling asleep.
Phyllis might have work to do but Scotty knows that she’s really there to keep an eye on him. He can’t stop thinking about his friend Ahmed. Hopefully, Victor can save him. After high fives, Scott and Phyllis look awkwardly at one another.
Cane joins Juliette in the hotel restaurant. He can’t remember much of last night. She was a bit drunk too – but hopes he remembers the promise he made.
As the stalker snaps a photo of Lily through the window, Jordan appears in the bushes to grab him.
Lily answers her door to find Jordan with a firm grip on the stalker – he was taking photos. You sick sonofabitch! Lily snarls – she’s calling the cops. No, the stalker won’t keep the photos. Damn right! Jordan crushes his phone beneath his boot.
Aussie’s usually hold their liquor better than that, Cane’s mildly embarrassed. Yes, he remembers promising to recommend Juliette to Vikki for a job (but the decision’s up to her) Is there anything else I should know about last night? Cane holds up the earring he found in his bed.
Back at the grand ole opera, Nikki gently awakens Victor. Ravi gazes at a weepy Ashley. Mike awakens to join the standing ovation like he hasn’t slept through the whole thing.
Scotty’s enjoying the pizza they ordered while Phyllis fixes his laptop. Wow, he’s impressed – and Phyllis is impressed with his writing. Lauren definitely IS a fan, but she’s not a fan of Scott putting himself in danger (which again leads to Scott worrying about Ahmed) What is he to do? Use the power of your keyboard; start a blog. Scott doesn’t know how to start that kind of platform. Guess who does? Phyllis takes a sip of beer.
The Newmans, Baldwins, Neil and Lois are now at Top of the Tower. When ‘Lord and Lady Fancypants’ pan the performance, Ravi steps in to disagree; it blew him away. He then charms Mr and Mrs Leeds with talk about another play (which impresses everyone) He’s a brilliant computer engineer, Ashley says proudly – Lauren confirms. When Lord and Lady Fancypants take him off for champagne, Nikki laughs with Ashley – your friend is a ‘snob whisperer’ and a switch from your usual dates. What are you implying? Ashley asks as Ravi delivers her a glass of champagne.
Juliette thanks Cane for returning her earring. He’s not clear how it ended up in his bed. You were in my room? Yes, someone had to put you to bed, Juliette laughs it off. Cane gets a text – his car’s here. He’ll just text Lily before he goes.
