Lauren suggests Phyllis go out with Scott. Didn’t you have a great night at the opera? Spend time together. No can do, Phyllis gives her BFF a hug as she gets up to leave. Her next boyfriend won’t come with a nudge – especially from his Mom.

Holding Adam’s ring, Victor hears how Chloe confessed to killing Adam. Chelsea feels bad for not believing Nick – he’s not returning my call. She then mentions Victor’s attempt to give her and Adam a second chance (busting him out of prison)

Nick and Vikki aren’t willing to give Victor a pass on this. Nikki is – he didn’t kill Adam and he didn’t know Chloe did when he put her on a plane. Nikki then brings up BnS’s distribution deal in Tokyo (which happened because Sato respects Victor) If Victor goes down, we go down too.

Nikki continues her pitch; major companies would blacklist Newman, there’d be boycotts, GC Buzz would put suspicion in people’s minds. Rumours could destroy the people we care about; Chelsea, Reed, the other kids. This has to be dealt with in-house. When Nikki demands a promise of silence, Vikki gives it and so does Nick – for now.

Gloria feels guilty for not protecting Kevin from Tom – or Chloe. Now look what’s happened! she sobs. Jack reluctantly gets up and hands her a tissue and has little choice but to hold Gloria as she cries on his shoulder. On cue, Phyllis appears in the doorway.

Vikki admits that if this comes out, BnS’s Asian and hockey deal will be gone – and she can’t even tell Billy. Abby can’t know either – her loyalties are divided. Vikki’s now in complete agreement – no one can ever know. Now it’s time to put on a happy face and go host Reed’s party.

Don’t stop on my account. Strolling in, Phyllis snarls that she thought it was an act for her benefit at the club. It WAS an act, Gloria claims – but then chemistry kicked in. We’re both single and not hurting anyone, Jack adds. Turns out our long standing feud was foreplay, Gloria purrs.

Now at CL’s, Reed may have blown it on parallel parking but he passed the rest of his driver’s test with a perfect score. When Vikki arrives, she’s distracted – no, there’s no dress code for the party tonight. After Reed heads to the patio, Billy’s not OK with Vikki not wanting to talk about what happened at the ranch.
