In his suite, Cane calls Lily but doesn’t leave a message.

Lily decides that Abby’s right – she’ll enjoy her dream job in her dream city. Food and shopping – shopping and food, Abby’s excited.

On video chat, Cane updates Billy that he hasn’t connected with Lily yet. Billy then shares his idea for a BIG chain of amusement parks. As soon as Billy disconnects, Cane calls JT to fret; amusement parks!? Billy’s yanking your chain, JT’s sure and encourages Cane (who’s having second thoughts about following Lily to Paris) When Vikki appears (they’re at her place) she and JT are quickly get down to business when Victor walks in.

Still at CL’s, Nick tells Mariah that he admires Sharon for her compassion. She didn’t just give a family a place to stay – she let them know someone cares. Mariah can relate (since Sharon took her in also) but thinks Nick’s also a do-gooder. You donated your trust fund. Getting an idea, Nick leaves in a hurry.

Victor DID knock – he’s sorry for barging in but needs a book for Reed; who needs discipline and structure. When Victor goes upstairs to fetch the book, Vikki decides she and JT will just ‘act normal’ until he leaves. Act normal? Your shirt’s inside out, JT scoffs.

Book in hand, Victor asks Vikki to show him to the door. He warns her to focus on family and work – your ex is a waste of time. See you at the office. Vikki’s left to second guess whatever she and JT are doing. We don’t have ‘a thing’. We can start one, JT easily distracts her.

Hiding her journal in her purse, Mariah chats with Devon; chiding him for working too hard. Tessa’s working on some new songs, she adds. That’d be great, Devon has a hint of negativity in his voice. The label might be in trouble (he blames himself for ‘screwing it up’)

At the club’s bar, Nick assures his Mom that Kathy and her kids aren’t a threat. Nikki knows that – Sharon did the right thing (for once) And no, she’d ‘rather not say that again’. Nikki’d like to start a campaign to get low-income families into housing and provide support while they get on their feet. Not having much luck with donours, she’s delighted that Nick wants to help. But how?

Having moved onto the patio, Devon confides that the music label is bleeding money. It’s early yet, Mariah points out – and other HWG divisions must be making money to even it out. Devon wants HWG to leave a legacy of strength and diversity. He wants to rival Jabot and Newman. Mariah’s glad to hear that he’s not giving up.

Photo shoot over, Abby’s impressed – just a few more shots and we’re done. The light here is magical; Abby could get used to this place. We need boots on the ground, why not mine? She’d like to stay to oversee the BnS expansion (and get a break from GC) Lily approves but won’t stay herself – everything she needs for a new start is in GC.
