Outside his office, Billy and Phyllis worry about Jack. She’ll go check on him (and duck if Jack throws anything) Ignoring Jack’s ‘go away’ bark, Phyllis marches in. Who the hell are you (to walk in like that)? Jack asks. The question is – who are YOU? Phyllis challenges.

Jack has no time for these endless interruptions and there’s nothing Phyllis can say that he hasn’t heard. Fine, Phyllis will tell Jack who he is; strong and unbreakable – a fighter; defined by your traits, not your name. Phyllis reminds that she saw Jack beat an addiction – and you survived Hurricane Phyllis. Jack was able to walk away from the pills and Phyllis – but he has no control over these results. They WILL define me. She now has Jack close his eyes and imagine he’s holding his Father’s hands, not hers. What would John say? ‘Man up – play the hand you were dealt’, Jack’s left alone with his envelope.

Victor warns Kyle to be careful about making wild accusations. Kyle wonders how the scene made it into the film. Maybe YOU did it to blame ME, Victor accuses. However it happened, he feels it’s Kyle’s fault.

Reading the results, Jack’s devastated – his DNA does not match that of his half-sibling, Billy.

Outside Jack’s office, Billy tells Kyle that Jack wants to be alone – how are you doing? Kyle’s only worried about his Dad, he seems so lost. He spent his whole life idolizing John Abbott. An outsider himself, Billy assures the family won’t abandon Kyle or his Father; Ashley, Traci, Abby and Billy are still there for Kyle. Billy thinks Kyle might be the one to help Jack through this. Kyle then goes to his Dad’s office. It’s empty – but the results have been left on the desk for him to read.

Nick sends a text to Sharon – I picked up wine, are you almost home? Phyllis barges in with good news to share with Sharon (that she’ll wait to relay in person) Nick shows her the police scanner app on his phone (hoping it’ll help him find JT)
