Jack would burn the whole cabin down if he could erase all the bad memories. Grabbing his jacket, drink still in hand, he leaves.

Abby runs into Arturo again at CL’s. He was just about to text her to see if her Uncle came home last night. No, Abby’s heading to the cabin. There’s a storm coming in and Arturo has an all wheel drive truck. Yes, he has the time – he’ll make time for something this important to a friend.

Meeting wrapped up, Vikki thanks her Father for letting her take over Ashley’s project. Victor hasn’t entirely forgiven Vikki – Ashley could have sued you for defamation. Vikki understands and vows to prove herself. Getting a text from Kyle, Victor claims he has a business meeting to get to. In the hallway, he exchanges pleasantries with Paul (who’s there to see Vikki and will wait as long as it takes)

Kyle’s at the ranch to update Victor that Jack took his own DNA test (which confirmed Dina’s claim) Irritated, Victor didn’t need to leave work early to hear that John didn’t Father two of ‘his’ children. Kyle pushed aside his concerns about what Victor might do with the info and now feels terrible about his role in Jack’s misery. That said, Kyle lived up to his end of the agreement – and expects a job at NE.

It’s pitch black by the time Abby and Arturo get to the cabin. Uncle Jack? Abby runs around. He must be close (since he left a fire burning) Perhaps Jack went fishing, they go back out to look.

Vikki finally and reluctantly lets Paul into her Dad’s office. He reads JT’s texts aloud to jog her memory. The last one sounds angry – ‘DO NOT IGNORE ME’. Vikki deleted the texts without reading them (but can’t recall what time or when she shut her phone off) JT called before sending the texts, Paul pressures. No, Vikki didn’t hear her phone ring. Someone else heard it – and Paul always hears his phone. Vikki knows Paul’s frustrated with her fuzzy memory but swears she wanted nothing to do with JT that night. No, Paul’s not finished – far from it.

Abby and Arturo run into the cabin soaking wet. Maybe Jack went to the Whitewater store for supplies. Let’s get out of these wet clothes while we wait for him.

Jack’s driving through the dark, stormy night – reliving arguments with Ashley and Kyle – and Dina’s onscreen confession that Jack is not John’s son.

Knowing he has no place at Jabot, and assuming he has one at Newman, Kyle just needs time to make the move (not wanting to leave his Dad in the lurch) Victor doesn’t owe Kyle a damn thing – he didn’t use that video. If Kyle wants a place at Newman he must make himself indispensable – who’s the new CEO? Kyle blabs that Billy’s in charge but Ashley’s micromanaging him. Now THAT’s useful information, Victor chuckles – good job.

Abby’s found herself a dry shirt – and a hoody for her bare-chested ‘white knight’. Asked about his family, Arturo describes them as regular people with regular jobs; you’d find them boring. He just got out of a relationship; neither of us was looking for anything serious. Sadly, Abby thinks she might have too much baggage to have a successful relationship.
