Nick now realizes the purpose of Summer’s thinly-veiled comments about marriage earlier. When did our daughter develop this moral compass? Phyllis doesn’t think sabotaging Nick and Sharon’s wedding is moralistic. Maybe her issue has nothing to do with us. It’s ridiculous – but what if Summer wants Billy? Nick looks sick – no, let’s move on. He’ll talk to Summer and make her change her mind. Good luck, Phyllis mutters as Nick leaves.

Nick tells Gloria that he’s there to see Summer. Of course you are, Gloria reminds that she works at Fenmore’s – then prattles on about her role at Jabot. Nick suggests she go home for the day. He knows Gloria was bribed by Phyllis and he’s the back up she sent. I’ll handle it from here. Take the rest of the day off. Gloria’s not comfortable with that. When spa day is upped to spa weekend, Gloria flounces out with a ‘toodle-loo’.

Nick texts Phyllis that he’s about to talk to Summer – then heads into Billy’s office to caution her that she’s about to blow up five people’s lives (including her own) He’s not angry but disappointed that Summer didn’t come to him. It would kill Nick if anything ruined their relationship. Billy and Sharon are blameless – they stand to lose the most. Summer knows it all. You don’t know my side of the story so you DON’T know it all – are you willing to listen? Nick asks.

Lily brings Devon a coffee. With her sentencing hearing coming up, she’ll leave Devon and Neil to decide what to do with the agency. She hopes he’ll support her kids. Devon’s cold and too exhausted to be angry. I miss you so much, Lily’s devastated when Devon walks out.

Over a glass of wine, Phyllis sends Billy a text – she misses him and wants him to come home and play.

In Billy’s office, Nick’s not asking for a free pass on his and Phyllis’ huge mistake. They understand why she’s angry but not why she’s using it against them. Nick turned to Phyllis because he found Sharon’s engagement ring. Summer doesn’t think they should lead Billy and Sharon on anymore. Nick then brings up Faith – how will she feel? This charade is no good for anyone. Out of ideas, Nick writes Summer a cheque – maybe this is enough for you to keep this secret.

Next: Summer accepts an offer ….Ashley leans on Neil …. A mysterious stranger arrives in GC.
