Cane finds Devon on the CL’s patio. No, he doesn’t want to be in the courtroom when the ruling comes in (to see everyone celebrate) He’d rather stay here and think about his wife. Cane’s so scared the Judge will tear his family apart. I need you in that room. Refusing, Devon’s left alone with his thoughts.

Sharon comes out to tidy the patio and give Devon a supportive ear/sage advice. He feels his family’s already moved on while he mourns alone. Sharon explains how bereft she felt after Cassie died. It ended when she had Faith. No, Sharon’s not saying Devon should start a family – cherish the one you have.

Cane’s back to reassure Lily that everything will be OK.

Mariah’s brought Tessa to CL’s with hopes that Sharon can get her back into Rainbow Gardens. But Tessa broke her lease and the complex is full, Sharon’s taken aside by Mariah. She too has doubts but following her Mom’s advice won’t let fear stand in her way of love. You could keep an eye on her by giving her a few shifts here. Sharon reluctantly agrees.

All turn as Devon slips back into the courtroom – then look nervous when the Judge returns to say that he’d reached a decision, but that changed after Devon spoke up again.

After accepting Sharon’s job offer, Tessa thanks Mariah for her support – I hope I never let you down ~hug~

Justice must be served, the Judge asks the defendant to stand then renders his decision. Lily will be fined 50K, have her license suspended for 2 years …. and serve 12 months in Walworth state penitentiary.

The Judge bangs his gravel and asks the bailiff to take Lily away. Mike and Chris watch on as Lily says goodbye to her weepy family (including Devon; who did more than she could have hoped for or deserved) Cane hugs his wife as the kids cling to one another, all in tears.

Next: Summer returns home …. Kyle plays hero …. Dina challenges Phyllis.

My Thoughts: It’s not very often I comment on an actor’s hair – but whatever they’re doing with Mike’s colour, just stop it … Cane has a lot of nerve whining to Devon that he’s ‘scared’ that his family’s being ‘ripped apart’ – Devon’s wife is dead you dolt! … Poor Mariah, so blinded by love that she can’t see that she’s about to be taken for a ride…. After how much Sharon carried on and on about poor Crystal (and how far she went to rescue her) it’s odd that she didn’t even ask Tessa how she is. And shouldn’t she at least make an obligatory, if not weak, attempt to get Crystal to turn herself into the police? She did once promise Paul that she’d let him know if she heard from the girl. Of course, Paul can only investigate one crime/person at a time. He and Chris completely gave up on prosecuting the sex ring to go after Victor (a man they once wanted to ‘take down’ so bad, they hired JT to spy on him) He’s completely given up on prosecuting crimes they’re sure Victor commited (price fixing) to sniff around Vikki, Sharon, Nikki and Phyllis for a crime he has no evidence they committed… It’s quite remarkable that the press has absolutely no interest whatsoever in covering what should be a newsworthy trial; the sentencing of an ex-model for the death of her billionaire brother’s wife, who just so happened to be a high profile TV star. Never mind what Hilary would want with regards to Lily’s sentence – she’d be pissed off that it’s not in the news.
