Now seated at the club, Nikki believes Ashley will be a wonderful addition to Newman. Ashley’s caught off-guard by this side of Nikki (who then makes it clear that she won’t be jealous or cause trouble for Ashley) She and Victor have an arrangement, not a traditional marriage. Interpret that as you see fit but Nikki’s giving Ashley her ‘permission’ to get as close to Victor as she wants.

Lily’s surprised to come home to find that Cane’s now put assembled a massage table in the living room. In his wife beater, he gets to work massaging and kissing Lily.

Mariah pulls a flashdrive out and plugs it into a laptop at GC Buzz to hear Tessa’s song. Back in Devon’s office, Tessa’s also listening to it (but closes the laptop when Devon returns to ask how things went with Mariah) Things are better, she reports with a smile.

Phyllis calls Chelsea from the patio to report that she’s brought on a top online fraud investigator. It won’t be long before we catch who’s messing with you and Fenmore’s. Who did Phyllis hire? JT – but keep that on the down-low. After Phyllis leaves, Vikki calls but JT but has no time to talk, she has a business meeting to get to. JT’s left frustrated.

Ashley’s skeptical, reminding Nikki that she once faked a terminal illness to keep Victor away from her. You’ve always had a problem with me. Nikki’s problem WAS needing to be with Victor. Ashley has no desire to rekindle the past with Victor. OK, but if you do it’s fine with me, Nikki leaves.

Cane and Lily are both in robes sipping champagne. But wait, there’s more – a diamond bracelet. Cane proposes – would you marry me all over again? Yes, I never stopped loving you – never will, Lily replies with a kiss.

Next: Nikki makes an unexpected connection …. Chelsea is trapped in a corner; an alias is exposed ….

My Thoughts: Always so tacky – just add the appropriate music, a few paintings on easels and voila – you’re in Paris. If I bring in a shovelful of snow in from my driveway and yodel can I pretend I’m in the Swiss Alps? … In today’s climate, Devon should probably refrain from making jokes about seeing his employees naked. It’s all fun until the sexual misconduct accusations go public … Isn’t Lily’s head supposed to be on the headrest of the massage table? Why can’t the Ashby’s take their shenanigans to the bedroom? The twins don’t need to walk in on their parents ‘reconnecting’… Instead of running over to the penthouse and to CL’s for coffee, shouldn’t Phyllis be holed up with Lauren trying to figure out what to say to their customers? Is only Newman Enterprises plagued with bad PR that requires a whole PR company, not even a department, to spin daily scandals? With Lauren so worried about her precious ‘brick and mortar’ stores why isn’t she doing damage control? Her customers’ identities could have been stolen – they’re using credit cards to order online. Hilary can’t be the only one returning a dress. What about the customers who’re mailing their returns? Shouldn’t Phyllis have asked Lauren before hiring JT? Does she even know how much he charges? … Me thinks Nikki doth protest too much. It’s hardly a matter of face to face urgency that she give Ashley permission to poach Victor. It’s not like any of them need permission to cheat. Maybe Nikki’s using reverse psychology. Funny how she shrugs off faking that she was dying to get Victor back by saying ‘I was young’ (she wasn’t that young) .. I guess Ashley’s right – Vikki’s not using Lily to her full potential. In fact, with Vikki out of town it doesn’t look like Lily has anything to do.
