Watching a Valentine’s Day cartoon they’ve made on the laptop, the twins are surprised that Cane’s home (instead of visiting Mom on Valentine’s Day) Something came up, he’s vague.

Jack hopes Lola’s not here to dump on Kyle some more; he’s hurting enough. No, Lola wishes she hadn’t broken up with Kyle – but it’s too late now. Maybe not, Jack disagrees.

At the cabin, Kyle and Summer are both cynical about Valentine’s Dad. Love is overrated but Summer likes champagne (and so picks up the bottle)

Arturo delivers a Valentine’s gift to Abby at Dark Horse (after sending flowers and chocolate) Opening the box, she’s surprised with pink scuba gear (that she’s to wear on their honeymoon)

Mia leaves yet another whiney ‘call me or come home’ message for Rey.

Sharon’s on the phone with Mariah. No, she doesn’t want to spend Valentine’s with her and Tessa – she’s doing her taxes, getting her affairs in order. Hanging up, Sharon’s surprised when Rey comes knocking at the door.

Kyle declines Summer’s suggestion that they celebrate Valentine’s Day as friends. She wants to be there for him like he was for her when Billy broke her heart. OK, she feels a bit guilty – but is glad to hear she’s not the reason he and Lola broke up. Knock knock – it’s a man in a top hat who’s glad to see that Kyle’s girlfriend came after all. Now, how about that romantic sleigh ride.

The twins are stunned to hear that Cane’s too busy at Chancellor to visit Lily on their anniversary. It was her call, he finally confesses. The twins are working on a project and need their Dad’s help to remind Mom of all the good times we’ve had together. Cane would like that.

Rey whines to Sharon – doing the right things isn’t always easy but he didn’t want to be like his Father. He took his vows seriously, so gave Mia a second chance. Marriage should be forever. He made peace with Arturo and thought renewing his vows would be a fresh start for everyone. Near tears, Rey confides that the Mia finally blurted out the truth – and he can’t deny his true feelings anymore. Yes, he DOES mean what he’s saying – he and Mia both tried but you can’t make it work when you love someone else. I love you, Sharon.
