Cassie's Crash Course
Nick and Sharon answer a worried Cassie's questions about what's wrong with her - you need an operation - the best surgeon is flying home to fix it. It happened at the party you went to with Daniel, Sharon prompts. I didn't go to the party with Daniel, Cassie's puzzled: I went with Ally. Guess I'm grounded for life, huh? Nick and Sharon assure they were just afraid they'd lose her. Yeah - it IS that serious. I learned my lesson. I'll be good, Cassie promise. A fresh start for all of us, Sharon agrees.

Webber is given the go ahead to question Cassie (while Nick goes to update the family that she's awake). He has some questions about the car accident. What car accident? I remember being at the party with Ally. Daniel had been drinking - I wasn't. What!? He was in the car? Cassie remembers nothing after the park and has no idea why they would be in the car - unless he was giving her a ride home. Daniel claims he doesn't remember either, Webber adds. You think he's lying? Cassie asks: Daniel was drinking - and we were in a car accident. Is he in trouble?

Phyllis arrives and asks Nikki how Cassie is - what do the doctors say? Her condition is serious, Nikki says (in her folded arm stance) - she has a depressed skull fracture and needs surgery. Listen - I'm sorry, Phyllis is sincere: Is there anything I can do? You and your son can start looking for a new place to live, Nikki snaps. Phyllis understands and was looking for a place anyway. For what it's worth, Daniel feels horrible. He's going to be just fine, Nikki points out: Cassie is fighting for her life. I should go, Phyllis decides quietly: I appreciate you letting us stay at the tackhouse. Nikki would appreciate them being gone by the end of the week. Phyllis will do her best.

Vic informs Vikki that there's nothing worse for a father than to know his child is in pain. Nick shouldn't blame himself for letting her go out last night, Vikki answers: He might feel he failed. Vic defends Nick: He didn't fail- he's an excellent father - the kind of father I wish I'd been. You were a good father too, Vikki praises. Never thought I'd hear that, Vic surprised. Your heart was in the right place, Vikki giggles with a hug.

I'm the worst mother in the world, goes to wail to Jack: I have to try keep my son out of prison. God forbid Cassie doesn't survive - it's vehicular homicide. Christine is his lawyer. I went to the hospital - Cassie needs an operation. I made things worse by telling Nikki how sorry I am. She told me to get out of this house. In less than a week, we're homeless. Without hesitation, Jack insists she and Daniel to move in with him - clear? Phyllis agrees - In 24 hours my life has changed - I'm living in a pressure cooker. I could lose my job - my son - my entire life. You haven't lost me, Jack comforts: I haven't gone anywhere.

Nick reports Cassie's awake. Sharon and Webber are in there. The surgeon should be arriving soon. Vikki claims that none of their differences matter anymore - I love you so much. I love you too - thanks for being here, Nick replies with a hug. As Vikki goes to update Nikki, Nick needs his Dad's help - the top specialists if Dr Carson can't help). Nick is terrified. The doctors can't make any guarantees. Vic encourages: Cassie's strong.

Are you sure he was drunk? Cassie asks. The accident was serious - you were both thrown from the car, Webber reports: Why weren't you wearing a seatbelt? Something seems off - Cassie's distressed that she can't remember. Webber has seen it happen. Her memory might return in a few days - call if you remember anything. Now alone, Sharon tells Cassie: you can't protect him. He's not the type of guy who would drive drunk, Cassie insists: It doesn't make sense.

All gather around the bed - your whole family will be here when you wake up, they assure as Cassie sniffles: I've never been more scared in my entire life. All take turns...did Dad tell you the exciting news? Nikki coos: You and I will go to Italy to visit Vikki this summer. Dad, Cassie weeps: do me a favour - if something happens, tell Noah he's the best little brother in the world. Nothing will happen to you - you hear me? Nick replies. Vic adds his encouragement. I'm so lucky to have this family - I love you all so much, Cassie sobs.

One Hip Old Man
It's not like she's a secret agent - you're just frustrated, Kevin comes to the Abbott home to reassure Gloria. I want to nurse him back to health - I'm his wife. She'll only be here 3 days a week. So - you still have the advantage, Kevin reminds. The Swedish cavalry make it 3 to 1. He doesn't need a drill sergeant, Gloria continues. Kevin thinks she has to intercede if she feels the therapist will DO something to harm Mr Abbott. I'd protect you against anyone, he vows. Where is this coming from, Gloria wonders. My heart - I don't want you to be hurt again. Gloria gives him a weepy hug. I don't want you to get worked up. I'm fine - it's YOU I worry about. You have to be careful - you never know if some..... You trying to keep something from me? Gloria asks.

Geeta is done - your husband is resting in the study. Initial stages can be painful. Gloria is more than annoyed: Maybe you pushed too hard. He's anxious to get back on his feet, Geeta replies: I'll suggest to his daughter that I come 5 days instead of 3. 2 sessions a day. You must get paid by the hour, Gloria suggests as she introduces her son. Why not teach HER the exercises, Kevin suggests: I'm a trained professional, Geeta frowns: Your name is Kevin- I was told about you and your brother. My stepdaughter discussed our personal lives with you!? Gloria is outraged .Ashley has poisoned your brain! She's trying to protect her father, Geeta corrects. Protect him from what!? I am Mrs John Abbott - I will be treated with respect by the hired help! MY son is the one who saved his life. I doubt Ashley told you THAT. I have my instructions - I will check on Mr Abbott - excuse me. Still think I'm overreacting? Gloria asks once alone with Kevin: Ashley has brainwashed that woman and now SHE can brainwash John. Know what I'm thinking? Time to get rid of her, Kevin nods.

Darn Chilly Winter's
At Crimson Lights, Neil and Dru are furious at the sight of Daniel talking to Lily. And when he speak up for himself, is accused of going them 'lip'. You ARE sorry - how can you show your face in public? We always knew something was wrong .. but to get behind the wheel... I didn't - I don't remember, Daniel stammers denial. Watch your back, Neil warns venomously: wait til Victor and Nick come gunning for you. Cassie's in the hospital and YOU show up at her parent's coffee house! A reporter arrives: Is it true you were driving drunk when you nearly killed Cassie Newman!? I hardly know the girl, Daniel protests. You a friend? The reporter turns towards the Winters. NO! absolutely not - she'd have nothing to do with this person, Dru states. You do NOT have permission to interview my daughter. The kid deserves whatever he gets. Everyone's treating me like, Daniel moans - as Lily's dragged out. Why are you turning on me? Daniel asks the reporter: I gave you 2 great stories. Dylan asks him to take out outside: You're disturbing the customers. All eyes on him (and not in a good way), Daniel has no choice but to leave in a huff.

Lily finds Daniel sitting at the park. She's sorry for what happened at the coffee house Daniel thinks there will be a lot more of that. Lily is now ready to listen to what he has to say.

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend
Bobby worries about putting food on the table - Brit - the kid. It's a lot to deal with. I want to get things right - perfect. Brit thinks that admirable - but do the right thing. If you want to be there for me and the baby - how can you do that in jail - or dead? Bobby will tell Vinnie he changed his mind. No - he won't call the police. I'll get myself out of it.

Bobby,what a nice surprise, Vinnie greets from Bobby's old office. I don't want these anymore. Vinnie can't let him back out. Fine - I'll put them in the sewer. Vikki takes the pouch - looks like they're all here. Yeah - we're cool - as soon as you give be back my money. Bobby needs time to give him the rest. YOU tricked my - calling Brit to get her all worked up over the hospital bill. I don't appreciate people using my wife to get to me. Stay away from me and my wife -my house - our days of doing business are over. Capice?

I took care of it, Bobby announces once home: I told him not to come near us again. It'll be tight but we'll handle it. Brit apologizes: I should have come to you first. I should have trusted you. I'll never doubt you again. I'll always do what's best for you and the baby, Bobby promises.
