Cassie's Crisis
While Nick and Sharon are optimistic that Cassie's fever hasn't gone up - the DR would like to see it go down. How long before we worry? Nick asks. They'll try a different antibiotic to kill this infection. We have to sit and wait? Nick growls. Be there for your daughter - keep her calm and upbeat. Trust we're doing everything we can, he's told. Sharon's not sure how much more waiting she can take. I know babe, Nick encourages: we have to believe she'll pull through it. How can I convince her she'll be OK when I'm losing faith myself? Sharon whines.

Cassie tells the visiting Ally that Daniel was there to see her - he feels awful. My parents threw him out. Ally breaks the news: he was arrested. He could go to prison for a long time. You didn't make him drink and drive. It was an accident, Cassie maintains: I can't hate Daniel - he'd never do anything to hurt me. But he DID hurt you, Ally points out. Cassie insists it's not like Daniel to drive drunk- it's so weird. I've got to find a way to keep him from going to prison. My parents are furious - they won't drop the charges. Call him, Ally suggests - tell him you're on his side. He barely has any friends left. About to call, Cassie hangs up in a hurry when Nick and Sharon walk in: hey honey - who ya calling?

I'll say Hi to our friend for you, Ally assures - when Cassie's parents ask for some time alone with her. Why didn't you tell me Daniel was arrested? she asks. Just think about getting better, Nick suggests - it's in the authorities hands. I don't even get a say? Cassie asks sadly. Get some rest, Sharon urges. Cassie obediently closes her eyes, but is soon having fuzzy flashbacks of the party - her conversation with Daniel...then the sounds of the accident. She sits bolt upright. You're having a nightmare, Sharon reassures as Cassie lays back down.

The Hip Old Man's Crowded Commune
Over at the Abbott home, Phyllis vents at Kevin - not caring if he saved Mother Teresa from a burning building. Then, accuses him of buying the beer for Daniel. No - Kevin isn't like that anymore. I've changed. Hope you nail the guy who did it - but it wasn't me. We'll see, Phyllis sneers as she goes back to moves boxes in - rejecting Kevin's help. Get out of here. Leave! Please, Kevin pleads: It's my Mom's house. I have every right to be here. John said. You have your conversation with John and then, I'll have mine, Phyllis decides. Gloria races in: what's going on? Are you threatening my son? I will NOT stay out of it. Your Kevin is nuts - a bad influence on my son, Phyllis exclaims. You're a guest in MY home, Gloria replies: I agreed out of respect for my husband. He's going to throw you out on the street, Phyllis believes. When Kevin thinks it a good idea Daniel stays there, Gloria feels her point is proven: see - What do you think of that? I think your son's a con artist - and I think the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, Phyllis says as she marches up to her room.

Queen of the roost, Gloria scoffs: She doesn't scare me. She scares me, Kevin admits. You need to show John you're a caring sensitive man. Jack forced him into letting Phyllis move in. Who's opinion will mean more - his ex daughter in law? Or his wife? Don't answer that. John enters: Kevin - what are you doing here? John reluctantly agrees - fine. We'll talk.

Walkin' In A Winter Wonderland
At the apartment, Neil admits he likes being in charge again (taking over for Nick) and is impressed with how her 'Seasons' project is coming along. When Dru blames Phyllis for not coming up with an internet campaign, Neil reminds her of the time SHE took off when he was injured. It's not Phyllis' fault. What can I do? Tell Phyllis to come back to work - I kinda need her. The project is dead in the water. I need help to design the website. Dru plans to go over to the tackhouse and get Phyllis' motor running.

Meanwhile, at the tackhouse, Lily and Daniel break apart: That was nice - wonderful - best kiss ever, Lily compliments. You don't know what it means to me that I'm able to feel this way about a guy again. I've had a really bad experience - was starting to think I was ruined or something. I haven't kissed anyone since then. Can I do it again? Daniel has to think really hard - Yeah, he says as he gives her another one. This is crazy - I could be going to jail - we shouldn't start something. I can help you - you need someone by your side. Let me be that someone. It's not fair to you, Daniel objects... Let ME worry about that, Lily replies. You're unbelievable - how could I know you so long and not know what an amazing person you are? Daniel gushes.

Cuddling on the couch, Daniel asks Lily to promise she won't come with him if he takes off. Lily won't: I'm tired of doing what everyone wants me to do. Go to school - be a good girl. You need me. I'll be here for you no matter what. Daniel answers a knock at the door. Mrs Winters - hey what are you doing here? Lily ducks behind the couch. Tell Phyllis I came by, Dru requests: I really need to talk to her. She then barges in - is that Lily's purse!? Lily cowers as her mother stares down at her. Get in your car! Dru then shouts at Daniel: Luring my daughter here - you've ruined enough lives! You can't make me stay away from him, Lily attempts to stand up to her Mom: I am NOT a little girl. You live under my roof - you'll do what I say, Dru makes it clear..... Daniel - please. Just go, Daniel suggests Dru thinks that the smartest thing he's said. Take a good long look. This will be the last time you see her! Lily snivels protest as Dru drags her out.

My, What Borad Shoulders You Have
You've been on my mind, Brad tells Vikki (visiting her at Nick and Sharon's where she's glad to be able to help by watching Noah). He accepts iced tea and listens as she expresses her concern for Cassie, and Noah (whom everyone is trying to shield - but he knows something is very wrong). Brad thinks she needs a distraction - how about another run? Vikki has to stay put in case she's needed, but requests he sit so she can paint a portrait of him. Brad reminds her what happened to the last portrait he had done - Vic smashed it. Brad has no regrets over leaving Jabot - and the two faced manipulator, Jack. Brad doesn't blame her for going for the job and is amused that Jack's stuck with Jill. She used to be his biggest ally, now she hates his guts. You reap what you sow.

Vikki was all set to return to Italy - until Cassie's accident. She means so much to me. I pray she pulls through this. It's hard - I want to be strong for everybody else - but part of me wants to break down. Brad has a couple of shoulders she can lean on. I could use one right now, Vikki says as she accepts the invite - and snuggles into Brad on the sofa.

Lofty Ideas
At the club JT spots Kay and Mac. He feels he has a right to be upset. Advance notice would have been nice. Your name's on the lease - rent's due on the 15th - she needs to pay it until he finds someone else. Kay offers to pay it. Why would you just move out? JT asks Mac. You feeling OK Mrs Chancellor? I have this big old house - why would she not take advantage of it? Time for a change, Mac suggests. You will have your rent check by the 15th - now we're right in the middle of ordering lunch. When JT asks to speak to her in private, Mac declines: you'll get your rent. What difference does it make where I live? Mac watches as JT goes to mope at the bar.

Brit's doing great - I'm taking good care of her, bartender Bobby assures. You better be - see you around. On second thought, how about a beer, JT requests. After Bobby insists on checking his ID, JT reports Mac moved out leaving only a note. What college student wants to live with her grandma? Bobby thinks it must be him - could you be that dense? Girl's crazy about you.

Mac doesn't think JT cares that she moved out. I should have just told him how I feel. Let HIM come and tell you how HE feels, Kay instructs: Romance needs some maneuvering - gamesmanship. I need to be sneaky? I can't do that - it's not me, mac claims. You're an honest, forthright young lady. Kay will save her from herself.

You're starting to sound like your wife, JT accuses Bobby. He wants to go back to the way things were. Bobby thinks Mac wants more. Step up - or move on. Don't jerk her around.

JT gives it another try. OK - you win. I'm sorry for whatever it is you're mad about. Move back in. Mac accepts his apology but wants to stay with her grandmother. Let's go - there's a huge sale at Fenmores, she enthuses as she takes her Grandma's arm. JT sadly watches them leave.

My Thoughts
Today's show rates a 7.5 ... I'm tired of hearing it's not like Daniel to drink and drive.... Does he have a long standing habit of getting drunk and being noble enough to leave his vehicle behind or sumthin'? Yeah - real stand up guy - 'cept he's under age .... Why haven't the press shown more interest (other than at the coffee house)? ... How rude of Brad not to take Vikki up on her offer - and how strange that Vikki COULD become stepmother to the child of her former stepmother ... Silly Kevin - it's not exactly your Mom's house - just her home - for the time being .... Dru busting Lily was hysterical... could she have been any more scared? Why is Lily always offering to run away with guys? First she was going to leave with Devon (but got as far as the local park) - Now Daniel ... Looks like Cassie's memory will return - wonder if she'll do the right thin? Is anyone caring about the JT nuMac pairing - I'd rather watch her fold shirts at the boutique ... Bobby telling JT not to jerk a woman around? Now that's rich... Gloria and Phyllis living under the same roof could prove interesting - more so than Jill and Mac living together yet again.

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.

Next: Kevin tells John: You said you owed me I'm here to collect...Dru and Phyllis confront one another: keep your son in line - keep your daughter in line.... JT watches Mac and some young man poolside....I'm positive Mackenzie would want to know you're here, Kay whispers behind him.
