The Impatient Patient
Visiting Phyllis at the tackhouse, Vic is sympathetic. Phyllis understands why Nikki asked her to move out. I'm sorry for everything, she chokes out. Vic knows she is - all we can do now is hope and pray. Phyllis feels terrible... Vic points out no one blames her. Did you know your son had a drinking problem? Phyllis explains he's not a big drinker - he was troubled over a girl at school. She WILL get to the bottom of it. Vic points out that Cassie knew not to go to the party - and got in a car with a boy who was drunk. She knows better than that. If there's anything I can do... Phyllis replies. Nikki arrives on cue: Yes - do us all a favour and quit your job at Newman Enterprises!

Over at the Abbott home, Lily proposes Daniel use JT and Colleen's secret hideout - It's on the Abbott property - the last place they'll look. I can bring you food. You'll never have to leave - and I'll never lose you. It's your only solution. Daniel agrees to give it a shot. You think it's a good idea? Lily doesn't think he could live on the run - not see his Mom, Dad - me. You'd be alone. Danile decides to start packing. Thanks Lily.

Muttering to herself, Cassie ties the scarf around her head and with Sharon's coat on, slips out the door of her hospital room.

It's time to look into alternatives, Nick's saying as a nurse reports Cassie's fever is spiking. We're running out of time, aren't we? he worries. It's a crucial time frame - there's more we can do, DR Chim replies. Don't give up hope. Sharon stomps off to see her daughter. Where's Cassie? they're all soon wondering. What kind of place IS this!? Where's my daughter? Sharon shrieks. As Sharon notices her coat is gone, they rush out to tell DR Chim (who's already called security). Call the police too, Nick instructs - she may have left the building.

She could be dilirious - not thinking clearly, DR Chim worries. Security updates that a girl was spotted leaving the hospital. When Nick calls Vic, he and Nikki waste no time exiting the tackhouse without further word.

Webber assures the Newmans that his men are patrolling - Cassie won't get too far. DR Chim worries about her fever going higher. Nick and Sharon are both stumped as to why Cassie would leave. On cue, Ally arrives - and is promptly interrogated by all. Ally doesn't know anything - but she might have gone to see Daniel Romalotti.

Back at the Abbott's Daniel's all packed - but notices Lily's quiet. She wishes it didn't have to be like this, and worries he WILL have to leave town at some point. Daniel ignores his Mom's call - the third one, until Lily prods him to answer it. Phyllis updates things just got more complicated - Cassie's missing!

Taco Bell
Yup - all this is for you. Mac's puzzled: this isn't your style. I'm full of surprises, JT smiles. Is this a 'good bye' dinner? Something like that, JT replies: grab a margarita - you're gonna love this. JT claims he's leaving for Mexico later tonight. Hiw new roomie is already in Cancun. Mac's baffled: I thought you were flying together? JT thinks she sounds jealous. Don't worry - everything is under control. He brushes past her to sit in the living room: Ohhhh this looks good.

Now seated Mac doesn't know what to make of the tacos - the decorations. Ci Senorita - they're good, no? Mac gets up to pack: I'm not hungry. I gotta get outta here. The hapless JT's left sitting on the floor by himself.

Mac soon comes out of the bedroom to listen to JT strum and sing: This is the start of something - don't you agree.... I want you to stick around - see you every day - but you have to follow through with every word you say. All I really want is you - you to stick around - see you every day - but you have to follow through with every word you say. This is the start of something good...don't you agree????? That was nice, Mac compliments. Should I read something into that? I dunno - you want to? JT's vague. Mac's frustrated - I don't want to do this anymore. I've had it!

Decent Proposal
Lauren is at first dazzled by the eye popping square cut diamond ring Mike flashes at her - but her eyes narrow: you can't be serious. Mike has never been more serious about anything in his life: I want you to be my wife. Just say Yes. Lauren isn't sure - she's still mad. Mike hoped all this would blind her to his many failings. You were out of touch for days - I was worried sick. Why? she asks. Mike's not good at sharing his fears. I don't want to push you away. You pushed me away when you shut down, Lauren corrects. When Mike promises to be an open book, Lauren is annoyed: You're not taking me seriously. You didn't even call to tell me you were fine. Will it be the same if we have problems? Mike will try to be more open; share his worst pain and deepest fears. Eyes weepy, he gets on bended knee: Lauren Fenmore, would you do me the great honour of being my wife? I need a couple of days, Lauren answers. No - limited time offer, Mike claims: I need an answer tonight. You should know if I'm the one. Lauren hadn't let herself consider the possibility of marriage - it's not easy. Mike vows he's not leaving til he gets an answer. I'm the best thing that's ever happened to you - and you to me. No risk, no reward. Lauren says if he insists on an answer - I'm afraid the answer is ..... Yes. He places the ring on her finger and twirls her around as confetti falls from the ceiling - and bells and whistles go off.

Now cuddling, Lauren thinks she's the luckiest girl on the planet. Mike feels he's already gambled - and won. They kiss. I can't envision my life without you. You're perfect for me. Keep me centered. Make me see what's important. I won't be the perfect husband - you might want to throw things at my head. Lauren will try to miss (most of the time). But he WILL always love her. After another kiss, Mike lets her know he was thinking of a quick wedding. A Love Me Tender Wedding Chapel appears in the private dining roo,. I love you Lauren, Mike says - he'll marry her in Vegas - City Hall - wherever she wants. They dance as an Elvis imposter sings: Always and Forever.. sI'll love only you.

One Hip Old Man
At the club, Gloria whines to Kevin (spotting John and his therapist, Geeta). I can't believe they're here for dinner, she fumes. Mr Abbott's coming over, Kevin announces (then promptly makes himself scarce). Well Gloria, John smiles - then joins her. You look good John. You look lovely too, he replies. I should get back to my table - and Geeta. I'd invite you to join us.... but you don't want to be with my son, Gloria finishes. No, John admits. And I don't want to leave him alone. Kevin goes to see Geeta - how's it going? Geeta invites him to sit. Did you really save him? Geeta's impressed - and you have no medical training. You seem like a nice young man. Kevin's working on it. Geeta says Mr Abbott is doing well with his rehabilitation.

When Kevin rejoins her fireside, Gloria comments on Geeta fondling her amulet - and how much it spooked Geeta when she tried to touch it. Kevin knows Gypsy's are very superstitious. Maybe that's the answer, Gloria suggests.

Geeta doesn't think she can work with John much longer. She doesn't have a green card - her permit has expired and paperwork takes so long. I'll have to leave the country - unless I marry an American man... As John laughs, Gina interrupts. .

My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8.5 ... Sorry for the delay - had to watch the 4:30 airing - no preview for tomorrow :-(
