The Impatient Patient
Still at the Abbott home, Lily and Daniel digest the news that Cassie left the hospital: it's good news that she's walking around, right?? Nick then marches in to announce Cassie COULD very well be looking for him. He demands to know what was going on between him and Cassie. Daniel claims he hardly knows Cassie - and was at the hospital to tell her how sorry he was. Daniel then decides his lawyer wouldn't want him answering any more questions. Hearing that Cassie might die, Daniel offers to help find her. Nick rejects the idea and leaves Daniel to freak out - I can't do this. Cassie's missing because of me. I HAVE to stay here and help find her. I hope it's not too late! he tells Lily.

At the hospital, Sharon grilles the desk nurse. She doesn't have the stomach to eat the food Miguel prepared. Vic gives her a supportive hug - then soon updates that the police have put out an APB, but haven't found anything yet. Nick reports he went to see Daniel - he has no idea why Cassie would be looking for him. He gives Sharon a hug - then goes off again to look. Vic will stay behind (and call Paul Williams). Nick suggests Sharon start thinking of all the wonderful memories the family has yet to make.

Vic gives Vikki a call and updates the distracted Sharon that he's left a message for Paul - She's trying to send out vibes to Cassie (who's laying on a bench - weakening by the second. A woman chats to her briefly - before carrying on her way). Wait a minute! Sharon has an idea: My cell phone is in my coat pocket. She runs to the nearby pay phone and calls. On the bench, Cassie digs in her pocket and answers. Cassie! Cassie? Sharon looks horrified as she hears the faint muttering on the other end.

The Baldwin Brothers
Over dinner at the club, Geeta informs John that he's the best patient she's had. Most had her eating meals in the kitchen. John's happy to get to know her - and observes how attractive she is. Geeta tells him a bit about the amulet she wards around her neck - and can't help but notice the distance between him and Gloria. John admits they have problems and agrees when Geeta think it time to call it a night.

Over at Mike's apartment, Kevin shares the results of his online search: If someone touches the amulet, it loses it's power. Mike an Lauren arrive - and are soon announcing their engagement. Gloria's over the moon. Kevin takes a few moments before adding his congratulations. The mysterious duo then leave - to do some stuff.

Mike hopes his wacky family isn't giving Lauren second thoughts. Who knows what Gloria and Kevin are up to... Have you changed your mind about marrying me? Lauren agrees: Your family IS pretty wacky - but she's still onboard. This feels so good, Mike smiles as she wraps her arms around him. He's surprised when she decides to go home - save herself for their wedding night. Mike balks: God! What have I done!? This is cruel! I'm kidding, Lauren puts him out of his misery. He removes his jacket and lifts her up - I'm taking you too bed!

How was dinner? Gloria asks when John and Geeta return home. Mr Abbott is good company, Geeta says - as she disapproves of John having a nightcap. Gloria has to agree. When they fight over him, John insists on putting himself to bed. We'll BOTH go, Gloria insists (then follows behind, looking back for a thumbs up from Kevin).

Geeta runs downstairs to grab her purse - which isn't where she left it. As she goes into the kitchen, Kevin darts out and puts it back where she'd left it - and dims the lights. Geeta returns to the room: who turned out the lights? She spots her purse. Damn! Touching the amulet, she looks panicked as she hurries upstairs. With a satisfied look, Kevin goes back into hiding.

Jack Outside The Box
Jack marches into the Chancellor Estate and promptly reams Jill out. What the hell are you doing at Jabot? Kay jumps in to say Jill's doing a lot. Jack blames Jill for Damon leaving - YOu are becoming unmanageable. This is a building period - we can't lose someone like Damon. You just let him walk away. Jill blames Jack for being too focused on acquiring Vikki. Kay thinks Jill right - allow her to run it. Don't question her every turn. Thank you mother, Jill gushes. Jack repeats: You've created a monster. Kay politely - but firmly, dismisses him - then shares a smile with Jill.

Boy - can you believe the nerve of that Jack? Jill vents: If I'd been CEO from the beginning, things would be running smoothly. He was too busy wooing Vikki while the company was falling apart. Jill feels the power has gone to his head. Kay hopes it doesn't go to hers. Jill can't tolerate insolence. If anyone looks down on her, heads will roll. Kay watches Jill storm out: Maybe Jack's right - I HAVE created a monster.

At the tackhouse, a worried Vikki flashes back to telling Cassie she was leaving (You'll always be part of my life). Jack drops by and gives her a comforting hug. Vikki updates that Cassie has disappeared. Anything I can do? Yes - change the subject. Jack asks how it is to be in the old digs again. He reminds her of her words; You ARE first and foremost a Newman. You belong here. You're recruiting, Vikki accuses with a smile. Jack urges her to stick around - don't go back to Florence. Working at Jabot doesn't appeal to Vikki either anymore. You're smart and beautiful, Jack praises - but agrees, the Jabot ship has sailed. Take yourself seriously - you have a lot to offer. You hungry? Vikki invites him up to the main house to eat - but happily agrees when Jack offers to go up and grab the grub Miguel's made. Brad shows up: I heard about Cassie. Thought you could use something to eat. Marching in with his take out, he's most surprised to see Jack there.

Taco Bell
Mac and JT continue to dance around the issue: I know you don't want to go back to your Grandma's. Is living with me all that bad? No - Mac likes being his roommate. Then what's the problem? JT wonders. Women: You talk about honesty...... You think women are controlling bitches, Mac accuses. JT chuckles - you're the sweetest girl I've ever known. Stop playing games and move back. Everything will be the way it was before. He hugs her from behind and purrs in her ear. Mac shrugs him off: don't touch me. You're acting like a drama Queen, he exclaims. No - you're confusing me with the love of your life, Britney. What could possibly be wrong? You can get 2 bimbos to move in and never have to talk about how you feel. What could be better?? she slams out.

She rants to her Grandma: JT Hellstrum is the biggest idiot! He doesn't even know what he's missing - and when he does, I hope he cries his eyes out. JT comes calling: Mac's upset and he's not sure about what. Kay will see if she wants to see him.

My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8.5 ...

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.

Next: Brad addresses Vikki in a serious tone: sit down - I have a proposition for you... I was with Mom, Kevin explains to Lauren (who thinks they were up to something) ...looks like the two of you are up to something.... Sharon is desperate on the phone: Cassie - it that you??? (more little groans).
