Girl Interrupted
Nick tells Vikki to stop pushing - his son doesn't need to see him as a wreck. He thanks her for staying - you don't know what it means to me. I gotta go...Nick! Nick! When he walks out, Vikki's left with tears of grief and frustration.

Meanwhile, Sharon's left at home to comfort Noah. Yes - Cassie's in heaven right now, she assures. What's heaven like? Noah wonders. It's a really nice place - no one's ever sad there. Sharon knows Cassie's having a lot of fun right now. Yes - even more fun than riding horses. Remember Cindy? She was Cassie's only friend? Noah cradles Cassie's old doll. When people die - we keep them right here (Sharon rubs his heart) I love you Cassie, Noah looks upward. You think she heard that? Sharon is sure she did. I love you, they both sniffle and embrace.

Over at the Abbott home, Phyllis is dealing with her own grief: What will happen to my son!? He'll go to prison - they'll throw away the key! You can't let that happen, she implores of Chris. We have to find him - THINK, Chris barks. Phyllis will get Danny's number - and heads upstairs to see if his passport is still there. Chris makes a call to Glen Richards, and is soon giving Phyllis more bad news -t he charges have been upgraded to vehicular homicide. Phyllis is devastated by the news - and then concludes in a glazed monotone: I hope he DID take off. I hope he ran as far and as fast as he could. When I think about what he's up against... If the police don't get him, sNicholas will be out for blood. It's better if my son is anywhere but here.

Nearby, in the hideaway, Daniel is sure his life is over - even if I don't go to jail - Cassie's face will haunt me - I'll always know what it took from her - she was just a kid - had her whole life ahead of her. Lily doesn't see why TWO lives have to be ruined. Daniel tells her to get away - please - before I mess up your life too. Lily pleads: I can be your eyes and ears in the world - let you know what's going on - bring you food. Don't leave yet - let me find out what's happening. I'm a murderer, Daniel says. No - it was an awful accident, Lily corrects - she'll talk to Uncle Malcolm - he won't turn us in, she assures. Thank you for helping me, Daniel says with a kiss.

Bossy Boots
Jill confronts Ashley in the lab: Take a respectful tone with me - she had no knowledge of losing Damon - and Jack's on her back. She wants to be kept apprised of any significant personnel changes. Let me do my job, Ash reminds: I've been here longer - in fact I was president. Don't treat me like a novice. Jill has another issue - we need to know what NE (and Dru) are up to - we need to compete - how? without Damon? Are YOU ready to take on long hours? How many?? You've let Damon slip through your fingers. Ash suddenly remembers a meeting and walks off (with Jill ranting in her wake: You think we can do without Damon? Maybe we can do without Ashley Abbott!!??).

When Kay arrives, Jill's sorry she had to walk in on that. Don't you think you came on a bit strong? No - Jill does NOT - we have to get back on the map or fade into oblivion. Ashley treats me like a nuisance. Kay remind Jill that she's playing a different role - you need a new voice. You're the boss. They don't fight for what they want. Jill feels 'bosses command'. No - bosses lead, Kay corrects. Kay only knows that Ashley is creative - a part of the Jabot team. You have to make her want it. People treated well will work their butts off for you. Fine - be the boss - be decisive - offer direction and purpose. As long as I'm in charge of Jabot you have a job - but you must change the way you treat people. Jill has to think about it. I believe in you, Kay says in parting. Thank you mother, Jill gushes.

Ash marches over to Jack at the club to announce she HAD to get out of the lab. Yeah something's about to explode - ME! I can't work WITH Jill - I sure as hell can't work FOR her. What are you going to do about her?? I refuse to believe we're stuck with her. Once again, Jack looks trapped.

The Wedding Planner
Knowing how busy Mike and Lauren are with their careers, Gloria offers her services as wedding planner. Of course, I'll have SOME decided where they'll be married. Lauren insists on getting married in GC - surrounded by the people who care about them. Gloria wonders if the Abbott's would let them get married in the mansion. Mike would rather be married in a cave. Gloria assumes Lauren will want to design her own dress. Lauren OK's Gloria helping. Great! Mike mutters grumpily. She'll make us crazy...I promise you...they bicker when left alone briefly. Gloria returns to complain that John's kids are coming between her and John. Lauren's optimistic: once they hear our wedding will be the event of the season - they'll bend over backwards being nice to you to get an invite. They decide on a wedding in early fall... Perfect, Gloria smiles. Perfect, Lauren echoes agreement with a mishchievous smile for Mike.

Tough Guys
Vinnie offers a way Bobby can pay off his debt - today - get on a plane - fly to Ft Lauderdale - meet a guy at the airport - you give him an envelope - he gives you an envelope - you bring it to me - simple. After a brief interruption by Jack (who's looking for Jill), Bobby declines the proposition: No thank you -find somebody else. You ain't thinking right Bob Vinnie glowers as he leaves.

Bobby finds a sweaty Nick beating the heck out of the club's boxing bag. Hey - you all right? he asks when Nick turns to glare at him - before going back to punching. If you don't talk to somebody you're going to explode, Bobby warns him. Nick pauses: You know my daughter, Cassie? It was no accident.. .A stupid, bonehead jackass... Bobby shakes his head: Oh God - Cassie, he whispers. Nick relays the details of what happened (and who's responsible). If you need anything.... I mean it, Bobby says in parting. Nick thanks him - then turns to see a nervous Lily. She stammers her condolences. I'm going to miss her. Does he know? Nick growls. Who? Daniel, Nick clarifies: Does your friend know he killed my daughter?

Two's Company
After a fattening breakfast at the loft, Mac tells the amorous JT: down boy. Let's do something bold and adventurous - take the day off, he coaxes. I have finals coming up - I can't, Mac whines. You're a straight A student - you've likely never missed a day of school in your life, JT persists: I have a new roommate - well, an old roommate. The books will be here tomorrow. JT is going to drop by the office. Maybe you'll be here when I get back. Thanks for breakfast - no thank YOU JT.

Kay arrives with a housewarming plant - and hopes things are going well. Mac's loves being around JT - but wishes she knew where it was going. Kay asks her to remember this moment - how delicious to feel the way you're feeling. Mac smiles. Kay lost a man by second guessing herself. He had blue eyes - built like a Greek sculpture. Grandma, Mac chuckles. Kay advises her to let go and take that giant leap - don't overthink things. Don't be too careful. She gives Mac a hug: enjoy life. You only come around once. I love you - I love you more, they argue.

My Thoughts
Today's show rates a 9 ... Sorry - got in from work late and had to watch the 4:30 airing (and missed the first 10 minutes of that).

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
