Pain In The Neck
Geeta are you in there? John bellows as he enters the study. Geeta's quickly turned Kevin around and is now massaging his shoulders. Go easy on him - he was here to see is mother. Why are you in this room? John wonders. He was sore - I offered to give him a small adjustment, Geeta explains. His hair still ruffled, Kevin claims it feels 100% better now. John huffs and shakes his head - have you heard of the phrase 'wearing out your welcome'? Call first if you want to visit your mother. As John prepares to be tended to by Geeta, Kevin scurries out and bumps into a shocked Gloria: You're still here!?

Gloria wants Kevin to put one more good scare into Geeta - but he doesn't feel like a haunting right now. Geeta won't be a problem for you - I promise. Do you want my help or not? As much as he wants her and Mr Abbott to be happy - other people deserve to be happy too. He marches out on the puzzled Gloria.

You have a good workout? she asks John when he joins her in the living room. No - she's not having a problem with Geeta but doesn't want him overdoing it. Your son doesn't think she's too bad. He was in the study with her. Oh, Gloria nods: what were they doing? He's not surprised to hear she doesn't know anything about Kevin's neck problem - and suspects he interrupted something. Kevin's pushing the limits- I don't want him taking advantage. John hopes there's nothing going on between them. Gloria agrees - and will speak to Kevin. John would appreciate that and heads up for a shower.

At CL's, Kevin boats to Dylan: when you got it, you got it. Looks like someone's here to see you. Kevin smiles at Geeta: Yeah - he's happy to see her. I finished early with Mr Abbott and can spend some time with you. Let's sit and talk, she suggests. While Kevin goes to order coffee that will knock her socks off, Geeta will grab a table. She's impressed with the double espresso - and apologizes for being so forward in coming to look for him. Kevin wonders what she likes to do when she's not working. He's taking time off from bookkeeping to have some fun. Geeta's tired of being alone. Kevin can relate. A handsome man like you should have someone special, she smiles. And it's been a while for you? Kevin prods: You're so beautiful - gorgeous. Geeta smiles her appreciation.

Terrible Tom
Eating at the club, Ash expresses surprise that Tom called her at work. He hates to think of her chained to a Bunsen burner all day. She loves her work. Tom thinks that a scary word - and is only trying to keep the conversation interesting. He spots Mike going to the counter for water - but claims he's suddenly quiet hoping he's not saying anything out bounds. Ash doesn't mind (it's been a long time since anyone said anything out of bounds to her). Tom talks in circles about men being on their best behavior around beautiful women. How do I know this is the real you? Ash wonders. Paul is a straight shooter - sincere. Sincere is nice, Tom agrees: but you have to have a little fun in life. You don't think I have fun? She laughs: I don't. That's where I come in - let's get out of here. It's no place to have fun. What kind of fun you thinking about? Ash asks. The kind you find when looking beyond sincere. Ash can't - she has to get back to work. Suit yourself. You're giving up just like that? Ash is surprised. Tell me I can call you again, Tom says as he thanks her for joining him - and watches her leave.

Mike plops himself down - I paid you to go away. You're a violent abusive son of a bitch. You beat a child - put him in a closet for days - he missed school because of the bruises. Tom downplays - some aren't cut out for parenting - you wanna take out an ad? - me and half the other fathers on the planet. I could whoop you 20 years ago - I'd be more than happy to do it today, he sneers. What's it gonna take to get you to leave? Mike asks. Whatever it is - you ain't got it. I heard you did some time Mikey - who are you to look down your nose at me? You always thought you were better than me. I am - by any measure, Mike states. What do I have to do to get you out of town? Kevin's come a long way. Bring it on old man - things have changed. Tom claims to be reformed - I hated it when you looked down on me - and I hate it now. Be careful or you'll look at me in a whole new way - and you won't like it, Tom warns.

Mamma Marsino
Bobby returns home claiming everything is peachy. We got another mysterious present - no return address, Brit relays: Someone knocked on the door and took off. Yes - everything's OK - just open the damn thing. On second thought - let me open it. He does so and pulls out a Christening gown. Wow! How nice - must have cost a mint, Brit's awed. Whoever sent it to us must like us - friend - or family. Yeah - the kind of family we don't need. Bobby plans to take it back. That's rude - someone was generous and thoughtful, Brit points out. Bobby snaps that she doesn't know what she's talking about - and leaves to take care of it.

At the club, Brit pastes on a fake smile: Bobby here? Everything's great. After serving milk, Gina tries again: sure nothing's bothering you? Bobby never misses an opportunity to tell everyone about the baby - he's a happy husband. If you ever need to talk, I'm here. She goes back to her paperwork.

When Bobby marches into his old office, he finds Ang on the phone (No - she don't know what's she in for...) Bobby hangs it up and waves the gift in the air: THIS is what's going on - and I want it to stop - NOW. Ang thinks he's reading too much into it. You tell me I should work with these guys. You took Vinnie's money - now you owe it. You know how it works. You were made to lead a certain kind of life - now you're trying to be a straight arrow - it ain't you. What was wrong with the old life? It was YOU. You are who you are. Bobby knows who he is - this is what he always wanted. Respectability? Ang scoffs. Bobby relays the message: Tell them to leave me and my family alone or someone will get hurt and it won't be me. I sure hope you're right about that Bobby, Ang mutters as he picks up the phone.

Bobby arrives at the club and claims he sent the gift back to where it came from. What's going on? Brit wonders. Nothing - nothing I can't handle. Brit has to ask: what do they want? Bobby told them he's out - leave my family alone. Ang will relay the message. I gotta get to work. It's my job to protect you - go home and get some rest. Brit agrees with a kiss: I love you. Don't worry - bye.

Good Mourning
Vic and Nikki agree it was a nice reception - now, if only someone could say healing words and the whole thing would be over. Nikki wonders how Nick and Sharon are doing - both cars are home. She's concerned about Nick's anger - they're so distant. It could destroy them. Or bring them closer, Vic adds. There's nothing we can do to help them.

Things are tense in the cottage: You haven't said anything in a while, Sharon observes. I don't have anything to say - no. I'm not hungry, Nick sound scold as he again explains he went to the stables - to get away from those people. It was a lovely service - Cassie would have liked it, Sharon opines. Too bad she wasn't there to appreciate it, Nick snarls (adding he didn't mean it to be funny).

They discuss how Noah's doing. Sharon not a psychologist - I don't even know how YOU feel. She apologizes. You don't need to make things worse, Nick scolds: How do you think I'm feeling? You're a stone, Sharon accuses: This is something we have to get through together. Nick has too much going on inside him - I wish I could help you - but I can't right now. Maybe I can help YOU - at least let me try, Sharon pleads. Noah interrupts: why are you yelling? No - we're not mad, they assure. How you feeling? Nick asks. Sad, Noah answers. Will it go away soon? Not for a while - but eventually. You'll always miss your sister - but it will get easier to deal with. For all of us? I sure hope so, Nick says with a hug - as he meets Sharon's eye. When he suggests some out of state trips to watch ball games, Sharon balks: You're Cubs fans - Plus, there are plenty of minor league teams around here. New York is really far away. We'll be safe. Please wait before taking off every weekend. Nick just wants to have some fun with his son.

Nikki and Vic arrive - with strawberry shortcake. Sure, it's a good time, Noah assures them. He hurries over for cake - leaving Nick and Sharon to stare at one another. Nick declines cake in favour of flipping through a photo album. Vic walks over and wonders if Nick's really ready to go back to work. If you need help, I'll step in. That won't be necessary - thanks Dad. I'm running this business, Nick says firmly. Vic understands: but will help if he needs it.

Now alone, Nick tells Sharon he has to go to the office for a while. What!? Now!? Nick. Ignoring her, he continues upstairs. Back down, he pust his jacket on. Sharon continues to nag Nick. I need to make an appearance, he insists: show the troops who's boss. Sharon thinks that ridiculous - You're a Newman. I won't be long, Nick says as he walks out. ....

My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8 ... I don't know who's more creepy - Tom or Ashley. And her smile looks just as evil as his - and both eath with their mouths full of food. No way Bradski will let him within 10 feet of Abby (I hope) ... Maybe it's the combination of the track suit - the slightly ruffled hair - or the back of the seat being high - but he looked very much like a scared little boy today - not the high powered attorney .... Thank heavens John showed up when he did - 10 minutes later and he'd likely have had a stroke at the sight of Kevin and Geeta getting it on in his study ... And what an unlikely couple. Clearly Kevin doesn't have one type of girl he's attracted to - basically, all they have to do is show slight interest and he falls head over heels ... The mob now delivers expensive present to enlist and retain it's membership? Yo Vinnie - Where do I sign up?? ... Why haven't Nick and Sharon Newman contemplated seeking professional help from a grief counselor?

Next: Kevin asks Geeta: What's your favourite thing to do? The answer? What I'm thnking about doing right now - with you... Vikki tells Mike: I'll never know how I let you get away. You didn't, Mike replies.... Nick tells his father: I was wrong. I need help - your help.

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
