Walkin' In A Winter's Wonderland
Don't play with me, Dru immediately comes down (hard) on Devon as they enter the apartment. I ain't playing with you, Devon insists: Stop getting mad at me. You know something, Dru accuses. You knew we were sick with worry. Neil shouldn't have had to pry the information from you. My word isn't good enough for you, Devon retorts: I'm going to my room so you don't yell at me. Nothing I do is good enough. You and Neil are on my case - now, Lily will never talk to me. I can't win. I'm not the problem. I begged her to come back home. It didn't get through - why bother - you don't believe me. Dru apologizes: I'm just so scared and worried. I DO believe you. Ignoring her, Devon runs to his room.

At the gym, Neil asks Mike where Paul is. Hello to you too, sunshine, Mike snaps back. Answer my question please, Neil demands. Paul's out of town. He'll be back tonight - no idea what time. Now, if you'll excuse me. Neil follows and apologizes: Hi. How are you. I need your help. Daniel Romalotti took off - Lily's with him. Mike didn't know and is sorry to hear it. Neil worries Lily's in trouble for aiding and abetting - what's the worst case scenario? Mike thinks they might want to throw the book at Lily - she could do jail time - several years in a youth type penitentiary. She helped Daniel conceal himself. They were in her car for heavens sake. The penalties can be severe - OR - she could get probation. Neil worries she'll not be able to get into college. The DA might drop the charges if she cooperates with authorities - especially if she lead them to Daniel, Mike concludes: Move heaven and earth to find her and bring her back- or she could be looking at the inside of a jail cell.

Hostility At The Abbott Hostel
At the Abbott house, a thunderstorm rages outside. Phyllis moans to Jack about the innocent Lily being dragged into this mess. For once Phyllis agrees with Dru - and has to go to something about it. She can't have Lily on her conscience. Off she goes into the stormy night.

When Jill arrives, Jack expresses his certainty that Vikki will accept his offer (based on Vic's reaction). Vikki, however, arrives with bad news - she'll be taking over NE for Nick (who's in need of some time off). Jack assumes her Dear old Dad got wind that he offered her a job. We hadn't agreed to anything, Vikki points out - My place is at NE. Jill asks if the job is temporary. Vikki states it is - but hopes Nick will be able to work with her. The circumstances have changed. I have as much right to be there as Nick. It's about family. Cassie's death taught Vikki not to get caught up in petty grievances. This door will close permanently, Jack warns - if she walks. Jill wishes Vikki good luck. Excuse me - I have a company to run. Now alone, Jack says: you realize every fear you had about coming home and getting sucked into the family drama is about to come true. I'm tired of creating opportunities for you. Tired of creating opportunities to get back at my father, Vikki corrects. Leave before I say something I shouldn't, Jack replies. Returning, Phyllis meets her at the door and hears Vikki will be running NE. I look forward to working with you, Phyllis says. We'll see about that, Vikki answers. Your Dad will be real proud - you managed to nail both of us in one day, Jack gripes. It's business - you of all people should know that, Vikki claims as she leaves Jack looking grim.

A Papa Possessed
Getting a visit from Victor, Sharon updates that Nick being there for Noah has helped a lot - but things are still hard between her and Nick. On cue, Nick comes in from the storm to report that Daniel not only is on the run - he'd dragging Lily Winter along. Nick's not talking about going after Daniel himself - he plans to be there for Sharon and Noah. But, we have to find him. Dad, call your contact in the FBI. I want it to be national news - for everyone to know what this kid looks like - hire my own investigators. Vic thinks it premature. Nick knows what needs to be done - and is irritated they aren't more supportive. Everyone is looking for those kids - if you need me talk to me later, Vic says as he leaves. Alone, Sharon tells Nick that he has enough on his plate. Let the police - and Neil and Dru look. Nick MUST do something about it - I think of him free while our little girl is dead. Sharon would rather have her memories than poison herself with bitterness. He has no intention of paying for what he's done - I won't accept that, Nick growls as he heads back into the storm.

Spotting Phyllis arrive at CL's (there looking for Malcolm), Kevin tries to sneak out the back door. Phyllis stops him. Where's Daniel? Kevin hasn't seen him in weeks - he's been hanging out with Lily. He's sorry to hear things are rough with him. Phyllis needs his help. You're a computer whiz. Can you track someone down? Phyllis demands. I know how to do a website - but you have certain skills. Who does she need tracked? Daniel and Lily - they're on the run. Kevin doesn't want to get involved. Aren't the cops looking for him? Listen, you little freak - I bailed you out last summer. You'd be in jail if it weren't for me. I need help - understand that? Kevin doesn't see he has much choice. Phyllis takes that as a 'yes' and gives him her number - call me when you have something. Cheer up - it's your chance to be a hero. Imagine how happy Lily's parents will be.

Coward Of The Count
Lily lets Daniel back into the motel room - and showing him the maps, tosses out suggestions on where they should head. There's lots of cool places. Daniel has been to a thrift shop - I'm not gonna waste our money - but I know you like clothes. Don't tell me you can't wait to try this on, he jokes as he holds up a hideous green and pink skirt and top. Better than my mummy outfit, Lily comes out and does a pirouette. Daniel's bought a whole bag of duds for a mere $5. To a musical montage, Lily (and Daniel) put on a fashion show. Smiling - they meet one another's eyes - and hug.

One more night and we'll take off. Let's do something I've always wanted to do, Daniel suggests: Go down Route 66 - St Louis. Everyone likely thinks we're headed north to Canada. It's not on maps anymore - we'll check the laptop for back routes. Lily logs on - it's so slow - she has a lot of messages. Yeah, from her parents - she won't open them (knowing what they say anyway). She checks the GC Chronicle and sees Daniel's mug shot (and accompanying story) front and center. Now what?

Bobby Takes What's Inside Box Number One
Brit's thrilled when Bobby leads her into the deserted club - and a private indoors picnic (delivered by Gina). Thank you so much, she gushes. You've given me a family and a place to call home, Bobby points out: Let's go to the pound and adopt a puppy - and buy a house. Bobby was thinking small town - simple way of life. Iowa - Kansas. Homes are cheaper - yards are bigger. Brit's not sure she's cut out to be a small town girl. Bobby continues to pitch it: he could get a normal job - be home at night. He wants a big country dog. Brit's sold on the idea. Everything will be perfect. I used to want to be the most popular girl and marry somebody rich - live a glamorous life. But you've taught me what's important and real. Being in your arms - that's real. This baby is real. If you want to live in Iowa or Kansas, then I want it too.

Not wanting to interrupt, Gina wheels in a big cardboard box - this just came for you. What the hell is this? Bobby wonders. After Gina takes off for the night, Bobby wastes no time opening it. Honey? What is it? Bobby's face is grim as he observes the contents of the box.

Big Mac Attack
Watching the lightening outside, JT and Mac are safe and sound - cozy on the couch. Mac enjoyed helping JT try to track down Daniel and Lily. We make a pretty good team. Perhaps JT can hire her as his assistant. Too bad Daniel and Lily fled before they got to the Abbott place. Mac's disappointed: I thought they'd be smarter than that. Romalotti thinks it's a big road trip - an adventure, JT states. Mac remembers being on the road - and she didn't have the police after her.

What we have is so great - but everything else is sad. All the things Cassie will never get to do, Mac mopes: things every girl wants to happen. Every girl Mac? JT asks pointedly. What we have at this moment feels right - I waited a long time - never thought I'd feel this way again, Mac continues: You said you care about me - do you really? Yeah, JT confesses: I fought admitting it for a long time - don't know why. Mac does: Colleen - you never thought you'd feel that way again either. But I do, JT smiles: I care about you a lot. He gives Mac a tender kiss. As they look into one another's eyes, JT stands her up and leads her to the bedroom - pausing for one more kiss. Smiling, Mac follows.....

My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 9... I enjoyed today's show without exactly knowing why... Perhaps the thunderstorm leant to the element of suspense? Jack being thwarted by Vikki taking a stance with her family (which is good - as she'd been twisting in the wind too long) ... Mac and JT finally doing something more than tease one another (it's been almost as long for him as it's been for her - which is never). I hope they choose HER room (as Robin likely left behind some 'garments' or sumthin) ... Interesting to see Neil turn from rude and pompous - to civil and respectful - he IS, after all talking to an attorney (also on the Newman payrole). Nice to see Mike take the high road - and give Neil some free legal info (that would have cost us real folks a hefty consultation fee).... Also interesting, Phyllis turning to Kevin for help (though no respect offered this 'little freak'). You'd think she'd find somewhere else to pick up coffee though ... Nick is still torn between avenging his daughters death and supporting his family (good that he's even considering his wife and son now) .... Won't Dru be horrified to find Lily in such old an unfashionable attire ... And since I don't know what's in Bobby's box (though I could guess), I found today's cliffhanger very effective.

Next: Who do you want me to track? Kevin asks Phyllis. Daniel and Lily, she answers... Maps in hand, Lily jumps onto the bed. There are lots of cool places we can go.... How are things between you and Nicholas? Vic asks. It's really hard right now, Sharon admits. ...

Abby asks Ashley: Mommy, you think we can go see Victor?...Nick spots Phyllis on the patio with Kevin (looking over his shoulder as he mans a laptop). What is HE doing with Phyllis!? he scowls...Brit is freaking: Bobby! We need to call the police... No, Bobby disagrees. Yes! Brit insists.

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
