Bradley Works Out His Loose Lips
At the Abbott home, Brad comes in from the stormy night and hears all about Ash taking Abby to a place where kids create their own stuffed animals. Abby made a Koala bear. He asks if Abby can spend the night with her Mom. Ash thinks that's great - any special reason you want me to keep her? On cue, Vikki calls Brad's cell (from the gym) to hurry him along: Wear that tank top with the ripped back. Hot date? Ash asks as he hangs up.
They discuss her seeing Paul (and Tom). Brad's not prying - but he has a right to know - for Abby's sake. I have a right too, Ash replies. Brad is not seeing anyone - he's meeting Vikki; it's business. Not something he can talk about. Ash thinks he SHOULD date again - you're a pretty good catch. Abby runs out and hears she'll get to spend the night with Mommy. I love you, Brad says as he leaves. Now alone, Ash suggests activities: Bake cupcakes? Watch a movie? Read a book? Abby wonders if they can see Victor. I know he's sad because of Cassie. I feel bad for Victor. You're such a good little girl- go upstairs and grab a jacket - I'll call the ranch, Ash agrees.
You didn't wear the ripped one. It's dirty, Brad smiles as he joins Vikki (who quickly announce she's filling in for Nick as CEO). Brad guesses Vic finally got his way - too bad. I had to do this, Vikki explains: My father approached me this morning. Nick can't control the company right now - they need me. She's glad he understands. Family comes first, Brad agrees: I value the time I have with Abby now that I'm not slave to a job. Ash even modified her work hours so she can spend more time with her. Vikki wonders what happened - I thought you had the perfect marriage. Brad admits the break up was painful. He wants a relationship that's a two way street - not delude himself it's something it's not. The split wasn't my idea. Abby was the only thing holding us together. Ash tried - but it was never a solid relationship - there was something between us. Your father, but I think she's finally given up that fantasy. He wasn't going to stay in a marriage that wasn't working. You deserve someone who loves you, Vikki encourages. Brad will be the best father he can be - and will sacrifice his personal life if need be. When the truth came out about Abby's paternity, everything snowballed. But - Ash always wanted Vic to know he was Abby's father. A puzzled Vikki turns around to face him: Wait a minute - Abby is my father's daughter!?
From Cradle To Grave
The thunder and lightening outside emphasizes the horror, as inside the box lies a white coffin. Bobby opens it up and reads the typed note tacked to the top: Your son Joshua will soon join his namesake. Rest in peace. Oh my God! Brit covers her mouth and stifles a scream. They're threatening our baby's life! We need to call the police! No - we can't let them intimidate us - it's what they want, Bobby says (adding that he wants to send her somewhere safe). That's a death threat! Brit huddles against Bobby's chest. My baby! They're gonna kill my baby! What will they send next? The tombstone!? Bobby destroys the coffin by doing Riverdance on it. I'll never let anybody hurt you - I'll handle it. I won't give up. I swear to you.
Festivus For The Rest Of Us
Fully expecting 'his people' to find Daniel soon, Nick asks his father to call Wally - I'll hang around at the airport til I know where we're headed. No - Vic won't do that. It's up to the police - not you. Nick WILL find this kid and make him pay - they'll be easy to track. Tell your informants to give their information to the authorities - devote yourself to your family. They need you, Victor tells him. Sharon and Noah arrive. Noah boasts he's been picked for the all star team. As Nick shuts him up and answers his cell, Noah continues his story for Vic. Nick hangs up: I gotta go. He apologizes to Noah - I'll be home to tuck you in. I'm proud of you for making the all star team. Son, I disagree with this, Vic says as Nick hurries out.
Lily is aghast to see a description of her car and license plate included in the online GC Chronicle article. Daniel packs in a hurry - we'll drive all throughout the night then ditch the car. Lily insists they can't see the car from the highway. She has an idea - I'll be right back.
On the CL's patio, Kevin informs Phyllis that he doesn't have an exact location - Lily hasn't turned her cell on. This is urgent! Phyllis points out. Be a little nicer to me, Kevin bristles: I bet you don't have many friends left. After I find him you'll owe me. NO - we'll be even, Phyllis corrects. Kevin can't pick up a signal due to the storm, and won't risk his motherboard.
Nick arrives and asks Dylan if he's seen Devon. He spots Kevin Fisher - what's he doing with Phyllis? I'll try again later, Kevin tells Phyllis as he shuts the laptop. Save yourself the trouble, Nick interrupts, my people are hunting his down. He'll face the consequences. Have you talked to Devon? Lily called him. If you knew where he was, you wouldn't tell me, Nick accuses. Yes, I would, Phyllis claims. My son played a part in this tragedy. He caused it, Nick corrects - and will go to jail for years and years. Even though he's your son, how can you defend this punk? Your rage and hatred is becoming an obsession - it would devastate Cassie, Phyllis opines. How would you feel if it was your child in a grave, cold and dead. Unable to answer, Phyllis flees. I'm sorry for your loss, but that was harsh, Kevin pipes up. Nick ignores him and goes in to make a call: I need you to do something immediately....
Back at the ranch, Vic's left to explain to Sharon: He hired investigators to track Daniel Romalotti. Sharon should have known. Vic's sorry he left her alone. Sharon is trying to stay positive - we had a nice evening last night. Noah comes in with Miguel - they're baking chocolate cake. Sharon's not sure he can play on the all star team. She's not comfortable with the car pooling. Vic volunteers Miguel to take him to games and practices. Sharon agrees - much to Noah's delight. Thank you, Sharon smiles as she takes Noah home. Vic hopes she doesn't become too protective of him. She has good reason, Miguel replies - We can't always watch over them, Miguel says (like he knows). You miss Cassie, don't you? Empty place in my heart - it'll always be there, Vic admits.
Ash calls and asks if Victor's around. Seconds later, Miguel welcomes them in. Victor didn't know they are coming. He takes Abby to see the horses. Vic's surprised to see Ashley - and accepts her hug. I wanted to see how you're doing - how are Nick and Sharon? My son is obsessed, Vic reports. Ash understands - I'd want whomever did it to be punished. She feels for Phyllis too. Vic's again surprised when Abby walks in - My goodness. How nice to see you. You must be very sad, Abby says solemnly. Vic is - but happy to see her. She saw Starfire. Cassie's horse must miss her. Abby's not scared to ride anymore - and has something for him. Ash has no idea what she's up to but hands over her backpack. Abby gives Vic the Koala Bear she made: Her name is Cassie - she has a real heart inside like Cassie. Touched, Vic takes the bear - and a hug.
Back at the motel, Daniel picks up Lily's vibrating cell and reads the text message: Please come home. Lily returns - take off your shirt - I'm gonna change your look. Don't worry. Hold still.
Sharon folds a sweater of Cassie's: Oh Cassie, she sighs. Where's Noah? Nick asks when he returns (adding he was looking for Devon). Phyllis was there - her son is responsible. But she claims not to know where he is. Doesn't matter, Nick concludes. Why not? It just doesn't matter, Nick repeats. Sharon goes to tend to Noah in the tub.
Kevin places a call to Phyllis: We have contact. Lily turned on her cell phone - I've got the location.
Almost simultaneously, Nick gets a similar call (You got a signal? Arches Inn - room 116 - east of St Lois. I'm on my way), then makes a call (Wally - gas up the jet. I'll let you know where we're going when I get there). Sharon comes back down: Where are you going? Noah wants you to tuck him in. Nick mumbles quick apologies and leaves.
Killin' Me Softly With His Song
JT and Mac cuddle on the sofa. You OK? JT asks. Wonderful, Mac smiles. Yeah - you are, JT agrees with a kiss. Mac is glad she waited. You're so special - really special, JT replies. I had no idea you could be so gentle - it feels right, Mac coos. It does, JT agrees. I wasn't sure how you'd feel. It was worth the wait, Mac says - Yes - it's a compliment. Took us a few years to get here. Yeah - but it's the destination, not the journey. No JT hasn't got it backwards - look where I ended up, he says with a kiss. Now laying side by side, Mac thinks it amazing - you and me like this. My heart is so full. Play me a song, she requests. JT obediently grabs his guitar: Lying here beside you... not knowing where to go.... I never had the answer.... To the things you want to know.... Don't say you want to grow ...Don't say want to go.. Wrapped up in the moment... As emotion starts to grow... This feeling here between us.... Turn the lights down, take it slow.... Don't say you want to go... Cause I've seen that look upon you..I've seen your smiling face tonight...Just a boy, wild and wreckless....Just a sweet embrace....Don't say you wanna go...Don't say you wanna goooooo..... Did you write that for me? Mac beams. Maybe, JT admits. Mac's so happy right now. She gives him a kiss (if there's more, I missed it by dozing off. It was the song - yeah, that's it, the song).
My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8.5... Great that they actually gave Miguel a few lines, but couldn't they have been better lines? What the heck does he know about kids? ('we' can't always watch over them)? And couldn't his 'You miss Cassie' have been more of a statement than a question? Is he on Jeopardy - or what? Of course he misses her. How is Victor supposed to answer - 'Cassie who??' ..Shouldn't Nick give Wally some notice on their destination? Doesn't he have to file a flight plan or sumthin'? ... So, sure Nikki may have asked Ashley to let Victor see Abby - but I'm guessing she'll forget (or regret) that when she sees the threesome happily bonding in her living room ...If Ashley's own father doesn't know the sordid details of Abby's paternity, why would Brad assume Vikki knows? She's been out of the country for years - did he think she was given the news via email? ... Oh puh-lease - are we expected to believe the always impeccably dressed Brad owns ANY article of clothing with a rip? And if so, Vikki'd really want him to wear it? 'Can you also wear those stretched out shorts held together with safety pins, you know, the ones with the big bleach stain over the crotch - and socks with holes too? That'd be real hot' ... 'Family comes first' ?? Seems an odd statement for a man who's never eluded to even having any family (what WAS in that sealed envelope Nikki handed over when she had Brad investigated??) ...Bobby may keep saying he's gonna 'handle it' - but hasn't actually done too much except make a big mess on Gina's floor. Poor Brit - looks like she's about to go into labour ... And poor Mac - she's fallen hard. What a clinging burden she'll be to JT - and what if he'd said he actually wrote the song for Colleen. Would she have been mad? Would she have a right to be mad? ... Uh yeah - Lily - great idea. Let's cut Daniel's hair (never mind that it already looks short now that it's greasy and pulled back).. Ahhh - what has happened to the integrity of the mob. Back in the day, they wouldn't hurt women or children - isn't that what Angelo and Bobby repeated over and over ad nauseam when Brit almost became a strip-ka-bob - sizzled face first to her pole? Now their threats infiltrate the womb? Is nothing off limits? *sigh* I can only deduce that somehow Brit's mistakenly registered for her baby shower at Tombstones R Us.
Next: Phyllis tells Chris: I found Daniel and Lily......With Daniel's hair cut and coloured, the fugitives are ready to hit the road... Vinnie and a big thug enter the club: wondered if you got a little package....Brit: it was you!? You son of a bitch!! Bobby grabs her as she lunges at them...

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
