Da Club Seated at her table with the kids, Sharon watches Brit approach Bobby. I had to see you again, she sniffles. Bobby doesn't feel the same - and ignores her. Abby and Noah chatter happily: Dad was funny imitating the lion. When will he be back? Abby wonders. Gina stops to chat with the cheery little bunch: Nice to see you, Nice to be out, Sharon smiles. Brad's not here - would you watch the kids while I run to the ladies room?
This isn't the place, Bobby hisses at Brit. Sharon stops to thank her for the lovely sympathy card. I just wanted to say how happy I am for you - a new life on the way - cherish every moment - they grow up so fast. While Brit looks uncomfortable, behind the bar, Bobby keeps his head down.
Meanwhile, at the Abbott home, Brad continues to berate Ash over her visit to Victor: Since when do you do what your 7 your old daughter wants? Nikki wanted it too - that family has just lost a child! Their hearts have been ripped out, Ash states with Passion. Nikki knew it would mean the world to Victor. Brad can understand - but hates that this door has been open again. Vic will insinuate himself into Abby's life. If he does that, he will be in for the fight of his life.
Vic's not looking for a fight, Ash insists: he realizes it's not the best thing for Abby. Brad will leave it alone if Vic doesn't push it. She's having ice cream with Sharon and Noah - Yes, she's doing a bit better - but it looked like she might break down. Abby invited them to the zoo. Ash is touched: she's so sweet. Answering the doorbell, she welcomes Tom in.
John - it's so wonderful to be here with you, Gloria purrs across the table. John confesses he too misses it. She hates to leave him, but has to meet Michael and Lauren to plan the wedding. John is off to Jabot. It's been lovely, they agree. See you at home tonight. Oh baby - you bet you will, Gloria hints.
Ashley's Abundance Of Men
Paul returns to the law office and informs Mike that the case in Milwaukee took longer than he expected. All work, no play - forget it, Mike mutters, you were always a dull boy. Mike suggests he should go see Ashley. Paul's about to do just that when Lauren arrives. She greets Paul with a hug, and then Mike. Behind her, Kevin wonders why Mike had Lauren pick him up. Gloria's on her way - and we're going to plan the wedding, Mike replies. You're my brother and wedding's are family affairs. Kevin pales.
Tom enters the club and spots John and Gloria holding hands across the table. Well, well, well, he mutters to himself, looks like things are back to normal - we'll see about that.
At the Abbott abode, Brad is introduced to the visiting Tom: Good to put a face to the name. Ash has told me about you. Nice to meet you, Brad, Tom smiles as Brad exits. You have a whole slew of men hanging around you, Tom jokes. Still thinking of snapping at her the other day, Tom's bought a gift for Ash: I like you - but I respect you even more. I'd feel awful if I messed things up and I didn't get a chance to know you. You shouldn't have done that, Ash says - but takes it. Tom enjoys Ash's company - and wouldn't want to be unwelcome in her home. Ash holds the necklace up: I'm touched by the sentiment. She's been very busy at the lab. But right now - has the house to herself. Yes - she's getting along with Gloria a bit better. If Dad's happy, I'm happy. He and Gloria had this huge falling out - she wasn't honest - I didn't think they'd reconcile - but they have. I don't have a choice. You always have a choice, Tom smiles: You chose to put your Daddy's best interests first. You set your won feelings aside. My kids would never look out for me like that. He's one lucky man. We've been estranged for a long time - I made mistakes. Never say never, Ash encourages. The doorbell rings: I guess I'm just popular today. Paul walks in and hugs Ash, then spots .... Tom - I didn't expect to see you today. Makes two of us, he answers - as Ash smiles awkwardly.
Brad rejoins Sharon (who announces she's better than she's been in a long time). Noah needed it too. Thank you Abby. Noah suggests next time a baseball game would be cooler. I'm a Cubs fan. Brad's a Brewers fan - you must be a patient man, he teases Noah. Sharon watches with a smile as Brad interacts with Noah - then eyes Abby. She reminds me so much of Cassie at that age. I better get going. Brad will call her next time they go to the zoo. I'd really like that, Sharon smiles as she and Noah head off.
The Wedding Planner
Arriving at the office, the flamboyant Gloria greets everyone with hugs and kisses. Kevin's not sure what he can contribute - so wants to bail out. Nonsense, Gloria says: We are welcoming Lauren into our family. I need your help bringing up a box: list of venues and sample menus...flowers.. I thought I'd leave the rings up to you, she offers. Now alone, Mike wonders if Lauren would rather elope. He doesn't care how they do it - as long as he gets to marry her. Don't let Gloria wear you down, he warns. He's been thinking of a honeymoon destination - secluded - crystal water. He checks her hand: I see the ring is back on. Lauren promises never to take it off again. You're a really sensitive guy. No - just selfish - I want every man to know you're taken, Mike admits. So sweet, Lauren smiles.
Now back with her box, Gloria has more questions: When do you want to tie the knot? Fall? Beautiful flowers, she approves. ..And leaves, Kevin adds. Wonderful idea, Gloria smiles at Kevin. When Lauren shuts Mike's notebook with flourish, Gloria apologizes. Lauren smoothes ruffled feathers - I'll dive right in with you. Gloria is just feeling very blessed.
Lauren has ideas on where to get married. How about the Colonnade room - or the ballroom at the GC hotel? How about my home? Gloria suggests. Like that would ever happen, Mike scoffs - when hell freezes over. He's asked about the wedding, Gloria updates. Things are back on track, Kevin guesses. You're not back in the bedroom are you? Mike asks. Don't ask such questions, Gloria fakes embarrassment - but Yes - we are! We're happy for you - can we never again discuss it? all agree. Gloria will look into having it at the Abbott mansion. She needs a guest list - and 'save a date cards' for people out of state. What? Lauren looks trapped: Let's keep it to our friends in GC - it'll be big enough. You and I have an appointment - at Fenmore's - I've picked out some mother of the groom dresses. Michael - take good care of the contents of that box, she cautions. Kevin's about to escape too when Mike needs his help - there's some things I need you to handle. I'd be honoured if you'd be my best man.
Baby Blues
I never meant to hurt you, Brit whines at Bobby (as Sharon watches on from the nearby table). What do you want from me? Bobby snarls. Gina intercedes: Is there a problem here? There won't be as soon as Brit leaves, Bobby answers. When Gina suggests he take the rest of the day off, Bobby declines and heads back to work: excuse me. Brit thanks the concerned Gina, then looks at Bobby - aren't you going to say anything to me. I want you out of the apartment before I get home - get out - I'm sick of looking at you! Yet again, out the revolving door in tears.
Back at the apartment, Mac's stunned: Britney's baby is yours!? Tell me it isn't true! She wants proof. JT is sure: she loves Bobby - she wouldn't lie. Brit just found out today. It was one time. January - she stayed one night - you were at your Grandma's - she was upset - Bobby found out about his little brother - he wanted to talk to Nikki, not Brit - so she came over here. Bobby never called. There she was - crying - heartbroken, Mac sneers: You had to comfort her. Did you forget she was married? JT didn't mean for it to happen. What's a little sex between old friends? Mac asks sarcastically. You cheated on Colleen - is that why she left? No - JT didn't tell her. You loved her - you care about me, Mac mopes: but Brit's the one who matters. JT defends himself: THAT was a mistake - YOU are not - you're the best thing that ever happened to me. Nobody ever made me feel like this so quickly - I want this to work out. Mac doesn't see how: You and Brit are having a baby together - how can I fit into that? What's your plan? JT doesn't know. Bobby kicked her out of the apartment. She's moving in here? Mac balks. JT corn firms: This is my responsibility - I have to take care of her. mac thinks out loud: You and Brit are gonna live here - wait for the baby to come. The baby's innocent - deserves to be taken care of. They hug: I have to go. I can't stay here; Good bye. After she leaves in a hurry, JT sighs.
You Don't Know Jack
At Yves outdoor bistro, Jack hates to see a beautiful lady sitting alone. Mind if I join you? Yes - if you're going to harangue me, Vikki answers. I come in peace, Jack says - I'm upset - I was surprised you turned me down flat. But, he understands blood's thicker than water. Vikki starts her new job today - they need me. So do we. You'll be on full attack the moment you step into that office, Jack guesses. Vikki suggests his ex wife Phyllis will soon be looking for a job - she'll have lots of time on her hands when she returns from her trip. It's not appropriate for her to be working for the family of the little girl her son killed. Jack reminds her that NE's web presence is second to none. But he WILL grab her right away . As beautiful and talented as she is, she's quite a piece of work, Vikki opines. That's why I love her, Jack agrees. Is Nick OK with you taking over? he wonders. Business is the last thing on his mind - he's devastated. It's turned his world upside down, Vikki confides: Daniel running off... I'm worried about him... he can't work past his anger...
Vikki thinks of Cassie first thing in the morning and last thing at night - it was senseless. I have to be there for my family - my pain is nothing compared to what Nick and Sharon are going through. You need to mourn too. Not right now - Vikki has too much to do. Things will get done - don't bottle your emotions, Jack encourages. Vikki doesn't know where to start - I wish I'd been there more. I've let them down. Jack points out that Cassie made her own choices - none of this is your fault. Thanks Jack, Vikki smiles: I needed to hear that. Jack can be a friend if she ever needs to talk. I may just take you up on that - we all need a shoulder to cry on - now I have you.
My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8 ... Me thinks JT better start working on a new song .... This is a stupid plan, and if JT had any real feelings for Mac, he'd have brought her in on it ... How long will Gina put up with her staff making @sses of themselves? She should have MADE Bobby go home for the day. Who's the boss here? ... Of the times Sharon has strayed from her marriage, this one will at least have a better reason than her need for attention. She's seeing Brad as the father/husband Nick used to be (before he turned into an obsessed bounty hunter) ... She's looking to regain a time in her life when she was happiest. It doesn't make it right - but it makes it somewhat believable and understandable .... Hey - Vic may even OK it if it brings him closer to Abby .... How long will it take Fred Hodges to hear his 'kitten' has been making a spectacle of herself at the club (she sure is making use of that revolving door) ... Vikki's right - business IS the last thing on Nick's mind. Who can blame him - he IS in a motel room with Phyllis .... Clearly Lauren has something to hide - and it involves someone from out of State - any guesses? .. How icky is it the way Jack's looking at this ex stepdaughter (and her at him)?
Next: Paul chats with Tom: You don't have to watch what you say - assuming you have nothing to hide....Mac confronts Brit: Is JT the father of your baby? Behind the bar, Bobby answers Nikki's questions: It's as bad as it gets - let's just leave it at that,.....

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
