Pre Baby Baby Blues
Nikki sits at the bar and orders a club soda from Bobby. She's had a meeting with an anti drunk driving group - and is working on a campaign in Cassie's name. Victor's doing all right - but Nick and Sharon have a long bout ahead of them. Daniel Romalotti took off - he's a fugitive now.

Things aren't great with Brit, Bobby understates: She DID mean the world to me. How bad is it? a concerned Nikki pries. As bad as it gets - let's leave it at that. Nikki follows to the other end of the bar: what happened? What came between you? She deceived me - played me for a fool. Our marriage was a joke, Bobby gripes: Some thing you can't forgive - we're done. Nikki gapes: Divorce? What about the baby? You wanna talk about the baby, you're talking to the wrong guy. My shifts over. What!? Bobby?? Bobby?? Nikki calls after him.

Brit answers the door to the apartment - it's not a good time she tells Mac (who marches in anyway: Tell me to my face. Is JT the father of your baby?). Yes - it's true - JT's the father of my baby. Mac won't believe it. I'm so sorry Mac. You slept with him when you were married! Tell me how it happened! Brit explains she was going through a rough time with Bobby - JT was there for me. You ran to him every time you got in trouble, Mac accuses: You're disgusting. Bobby's thrown me out. I don't know what I'm gonna do. I have some choice words for you! Mac replies. How long have you knows. For certain - this week. How could you be so careless and stupid - didn't your marriage vows mean anything? You couldn't let JT go - even after you got married. I'm sick and tired of you tearing my life apart. We had something beautiful - I love JT. I trusted him, and if.. My God. Did you sleep with him? Brit asks. I'm surprised. None of your business, Mac says. Brit has her own problems to worry about - I have to take care of myself You asked JT to take care of you. Brit's sorry she got in so deep with JT - sorry you're hurt - but I have to think of the baby. You found a way to get him - same selfish spoiled little bitch you've always been, Mac marches out. Brit exhales slowly.

Ester welcomes JT in - we were just talking about you. Such a cute couple... You're embarrassing the young man, Kay scolds: Mac's not home. I came to see you, JT replies. If you need creative ways to pop the question.... Ester offers before being dismissed. JT beats around the bush: Mac will need your support. Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you. Stop - tell me what's going on, Kay demands. Mac and me are pretty much over, he announces. We have no future together. What did you do? Kay asks. Brit's baby is mine, he confides. Yes, he's sure - Yes, Mac knows. She'll need your help. I messed up - but have to do the right thing. See Brit through this pregnancy. Bobby kicked her out - I'm all she has. Kay suggests she go to her family. They disowned her since she married Bobby - this is my kid - I want to do right while she's pregnant. And after? Kay wonders - what do you intend to do then? JT has no idea. You plan to marry her? You love her? JT's still in shock. I'm not ready to be a father. Kay points out that this will break Mac's heart. You DO know how much you mean to her. She means as much to me, JT's torn. Both are teary eyed. Then do what's right for the baby, Kay instructs: have Brit go home and live with her parents - put the baby up for adoption, OR walk away from Mac for good. Don't you dare put her life on hold while you decide what to do. It's not fair to either of you. Both are teary eyed.

Bobby returns to the apartment: You alone? he asks before they run into one anothers arms to kiss passionately.

Ashley's Abundance Of Men
At the Abbott home, Paul and Tom shake hands and do some verbal jousting over the fair Ashley. When Paul offers to recommend a good fishing charter, Tom declines: he has better things to do in GC. I do a little of this and a little of that. Jack of all trades, Paul smiles. You have family in town? Excuse Paul, Ash interrupts to explain: he's a PI. Paul hands over his card. Guess I better watch what I say around you, Tom inspects the card. You don't have to watch what you say - assuming you have nothing to hide, Paul answers. Tom's an open book - he does carpentry work, and hails from Michigan. Where in Michigan? Paul prods. Tom's had enough of the interrogation and decides it time to leave. Ashley shows him out, and at the door thanks Tom for the necklace - but doubts she'll be able to join him at the club later.

Interesting guy, Paul comments. He's just a friend? Is he aware he's just a friend? I get the feeling he likes you - a lot. Looks like he's cleaned up for a reason. Trying to change his image. No, Ash isn't concerned - it's not a romance - he's not like other people I know. Would you like to know more? I could investigate him, Paul offers. Ash declines - it's an overreaction. I'm not dating him. You should tell him that, Paul thinks (though he doesn't mind competition - and in fact, thrives on it). The offer stands if you change your mind. Over lemonade (that was squeezed by Abby's two hands), Paul warns Ash about Tom: be careful - he doesn't seem straight forward. It's more than the PI talking - I care about you. I'm fascinated by you. So, there - it's official - on the record. How do you feel? Paul nudges. I think you're terrific too. Paul agrees, she has many talents: You make wonderful perfume and fry up smelt - and dodge direct questions. You're a master - I've sparred with the best. Paul would like her to be 'rattled'. You make me laugh, Ash smiles. That's a good thing, Paul agrees - what else? You make me distracted - I'll be in the lab and smile for no reason, Ash confesses. You're a lot of fun. So - I'm amusing and entertaining, Paul concludes. You don't rattle me.... Paul leans her back and suddenly kisses her. Now, I'm rattled, Ash admits. But I haven't told you how I feel. Yes you did - believe me you did, Paul beams: Thanks for the lemonade. With one more quick peck and a goofy smile, Paul floats out.

Like Shooting Fish In A Barrel
Kevin's flabbergasted to hear Mike wants him to be his best man (and is the closest thing he has to a best friend). Of COURSE I'll be your best man - I'm totally stoked. You're the best! Mike can't believe how far they've come. I was a mess when I first got here, Kevin recalls, but he won't let Mike blame himself - we're a family again. You, me, Mom - the three Musketeers. Terrible Tom is gone - thank God. Life is looking good, Kevin smiles.

Kevin is still in the office when Mike comes back: Mikey...Michael. Nothing.. I uh.. appreciate everything you've done for me - believed in me when no one else did. .. I love you - the best brother a guy could have. Mike smiles awkwardly: thank you - do we have to hug again? Kevin will throw him the bachelor party to end all bachelor parties. No one comes out of any cakes... Mike gives a clear warning. Trust me. I'll be the best best man ever, Kevin vows. Tom slithers in: shucks Michael - I thought you'd let me be best man.

I never LEFT town, Tom informs: didn't Michael tell you? You not happy to see me boy? I'm not afraid of you, Kevin claims. What do you want from us? Tom wants to get reacquainted. We'll always be connected. Kevin won't let Tom be part of his life - nothing you can do will make up for thee misery you caused. I will never forgive you - or forget. People can change, Tom says - I'm not the same man. You're a cruel miserable bastard - I wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire. You may as well be dead. Tom advances menacingly: what did you just say to me? Go ahead - hit me - only thing you're good at, Kevin challenges (with Tom inches from his face, Mike hovers in the background). Come on! It made you feel big and strong when I was a kid. This time I'll hit back 'Dad'. Tom scoffs and takes a drink" You're not worth it. I like it here - I wouldn't want to miss the wedding. Mike makes it clear: You're not welcome at my wedding - or this office. Leave. Tom doesn't get the hostility. You beat up on me - Mom - all I ever wanted was to be a son. You weren't an easy kid to get along with, Tom rationalizes. Kevin's not afraid of him anymore - I'm a better person than you. Quite a speech. He's come a long way, Mike's proud. Kevin - could you excuse yourself. Mike agrees - then once alone chuckles. I want to talk about your mother. I've been doing some digging - she and the rich husband aren't on stable ground. I hope she realizes how shaky her marriage is. Things could blow her right out of the water - one thing in particular could be an atom bomb.

My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8 ... Who the heck is Mac to be giving choice words to anyone - and in their own home no less. At the time SHE wasn't in the picture - and therefore not a factor. The only one who would have any right to be mad would be Bobby. Mac's values/morals are commendable - so while it might be her business NOW, it's not her place to lambaste Brit for being unfaithful... Surely they could have come up with something better - Didn't Bobby say HE was going to handle it? Why would JT go along with this? As a PI, wouldn't he suggest they go to the police? ... IF Brit's parents disowned her because she married Bobby, wouldn't they be more than pleased to take her in once she's left him? Especially learning that the wonderful JT Hellstrum is the baby's father? You'd think they'd welcome her back with open arms. Is Bobby's meager bartending wage supposed to cover the rent at two places now? .... Why would Paul be wasting time questioning Tom when the biggest manhunt is going on for Lily and Daniel (who's like a son to his ex wife and business partner)?? ....

Next: Kevin wonders: What the hell does Tom have on our mother? ..I dunno, Mike looks worried - but I'm gonna find out ....Neil shows up at the hotel: he look from Nick to Phyllis: well, well, look who's here. I came a hell of a long way to find my daughter - someone better tell me where she is... Daniel and Lily ride down the coast in the back of a pick up truck.

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
