The Spokesperson Speaks Up
Nikki drops by the Abbott home to thank Brad for inviting Sharon and Noah to the party. It's just what she needs right now. She too worries about Nick's obsession. Brad repeats his 'I'd do the same thing' spiel. You've been living a life of leisure - aren't you bored? she wonders. Nope - Brad's enjoying spending time with Abby. He just had this same conversation with Ashley. Nikki's surprised he talks to her about business matters - you plan to go back to Jabot? Brad has no plans to work at either NE or Jabot. Nikki wishes he'd reconsider - not let his executive talent go to waste. Nikki has to go. If you talk to Nick - try to get him home - his wife and son need him, Brad reminds her as he walks her out.

Arriving in Nick's office, Sharon seems unsettled to find Vikki right at home - doing business over the phone. Vikki stops her from leaving - and wonders why she stopped by. Sharon's mildly embarrassed to say she thought she'd feel closer to Nick. Home seems so empty - she feels so alone. When Vikki's phone won't stop ringing, Sharon thinks she needs help - she's not ready to come back to work - but what about hiring Brad? Vikki thinks it a good idea - but will Victor? She's not sure Brad would even accept a position. She'd have to see if he's interested. Ask him, Sharon suggests. Why are you pushing this? Vikki has to ask. Sharon explains that she doesn't want Nick to come back to chaos. Vikki will think about it.

Beach - Blanket - Bingo!
In the cafe, Nick confronts Phyllis (who claims she merely gave the guy her phone number - to call if he sees the kids). Nick gives the manager HIS number and adds that her son killed his daughter. This is news to the manager. As he's about to close up, he wishes them luck as they head back to Brendan's. Call me, Phyllis reiterates on the way out.

While Neil's at Brendan's, talking to Malcolm on his cell, there's a knock at the door. No - it's not the kids - it's the LAPD. Neil lets Officer Contrerez in and is soon aghast to hear a warrant's been issued for Lily too. My daughter has nothing to to with this. She's no accomplice. He blames Daniel. Don't hurt my daughter, he implores. The thought of her going to jail..... Officer Contrerez announces: My partner, officer Heisler, is watching the house. Phyllis bursts in (with Nick in tow): These kids are good kids - not criminals - is it necessary to treat them this way? she asks. There's warrants for both these kids, she's told. He's not a criminal - it was an accident. The police just want to bring them home safely - let's hope they show up here tonight.

On the beach, a pumped Daniel shares his flashbacks with Lily: Cassie was driving! It's the first time I remember being in the back seat - in my dreams my hands weren't on the wheel! A relieved Lily hugs him: maybe THIS is why Cassie needed to talk to you. Daniel agrees - but needs help to sort it all out. With Uncle Malcolm being the only logical option, they kids approach a store clerk and are directed to a phone booth behind the store - hurry - he's closing and turning off the lights soon. Lily makes a collect call to Malcolm's cell. He accepts the charges: Lily! Sweetheart - are you all right? Everybody's worried - your father's out there looking for you. You can't stay on the run. We're ready to come back to GC, she announces. Thank you Lord, Malcolm sighs. What do you need? Airfare? An excited Lily tells him that Daniel remembers - he wasn't driving that night - Cassie was! Lily relays the details. You don't believe us do you? I thought we could trust you - it's a mistake. Lily continues: Remember she came to the coffee house - desperate to find him? She said: 'I need Daniel to know' - she remembered too! You may be right, Malcolm concedes. You believe us, Lily says optimistically. Malcolm will call Christine and see what she says. Lily's relieved: I knew we could count on you.

You and Daniel have got to get to your Dad - he's at Brendan's, Malcolm instructs. We'll go there now - thank you Uncle Malcolm - we knew we could count on you. They exchange I love you's, and Lily hangs up - I'm so glad we called. He's calling Chris - but we have to get to Brendan's. They then hear gunshots (What!?) and cautiously creep around the corner of the store - the the front - and see the man inside has been shot - the register emptied. Lily gasps as Daniel scrambles to the man on the floor - looking for a pulse.

Loft Lift Us Up Where We Belong
Kevin pays a visit to the loft and is greeted by Brit (who points out she's not fat - she's expecting a baby). She hears that Kevin advised Mac to fight for JT. Kevin then suddenly puts 2 and 2 together. That's right - JT and I are having a baby, Brit confirms. You have feelings for Mac - this could be your opportunity. Kevin's about to leave when JT arrives (none too happy to find him there). He thanks Brit and hurries off.

Now updated, JT's not impressed: You're trying to protect my girlfriend - by hooking her up with Kevin Fisher? It's safer if she turned her attention somewhere else, Brit insists. JT can't forget what he did to Colleen. Bobby's gonna work this out, she assures. You know that for sure do ya!? JT snaps. Brit knows what he's sacrificing. JT's never felt lower than when Mac walked out of here - it looks pretty damn grim. I'm going to get some air. If Bobby doesn't come up with some answers soon, I'm gonna come up with some of my own, JT barks as he slams out.

Clubbin' It
At the club, Mac whines to her Grandma about JT - and looks at the chocolate souffle - I didn't order this. Kay did - and will help her eat it. (JT spots the pair, but deciding not to approach them, leaves). Mac layers on some whipped cream as Kay tells yet another story - about yet another young man from her past - In Venice I met this handsome young man. He kissed me like I'd never been kissed before. Then I caught that rat kissing Anna. My mother ordered chocolate souffle - and we devoured it while I sobbed my eyes out. Kevin interrupts: I have to talk to you. How did you find me? Mac wonders. Ester the blabbermouth, Kay realizes: we're in the middle of a conversation. When Mac OK's it, Kay leaves them to talk. Nice to seeing you again, Kevin says as he takes her vacated seat - and apologizes for giving Mac such bad advice. Brit gave him an earful - he now knows about the baby. JT is who he is - he doesn't love me - he must really care for Brit - shouldn't surprise me, mac decides. You did me a favour - my eyes are wide open now. I know the truth - I have to move on - you helped me see that. They clasp hands across the table - thanks for being here.

Meanwhile, in the steam room, Paul not so subtly pumps Bobby for answers. They discuss JT (whom Bobby has a low opinion of). Something strange about Brit and Mack - I don't see you walking away, Paul says. I think I have a good idea - you're wondering whether you can trust me. I have experience with these people. I think you know things - people might be interested in that kind of information. Bobby weighs his options. It's too risky he concludes. You can't afford not to, Paul persists. They'll hurt my child. I'm not messing around - they'll give me my marching orders, Bobby claims. Going inside is risky and dangerous, Paul points out. I'm already inside, Bobby points out. I will do whatever I can, Paul promises. What's in it for you? Bobby wonders. I have a score to settle from a long time ago - this girl I loved... Don't drop your guard for a moment, Paul warns: I'll be in touch. Opening the door, he talks for show: Come and see me - we can talk about that security system your friend at the club was interested in. A musclebound thug enters: mind if I turn up the heat? he asks as he glares at Bobby.

My Thoughts
Today's show rates an 8... Nikki has the nerve to ask Brad if HE'S bored? When was the last time SHE put in an appearance at the office?? .... And not to be crude, but your husband just presented you with a 3 week Greek cruise - shouldn't you be home thanking him appropriately - instead of visiting your ex - at the home of your OTHER ex? ..... When will Phyllis tell Nick where to stick his attitude towards her? It's getting real old (and he needs a shave and a haircut - maybe Lily can give him a trim too) ... Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The kids need to call 911 asap - then leave if they need to (before Webber shows up and manages to pin this on em too) .... How long will it take before Malcolm lets Dru know that Lily's called? He knows she's desperate for contact - but then again she sure hasn't been showing Malcolm any brotherly love lately .... One has to feel sorry for this poor baby: a selfish mother - a chicken mobster for a Dad - and a reluctant JT as his psedo Dad - this kid'll grow up to make Kevin look stable.

Next: Vic tells Vikki that she could fulfill his fondest dreams - you and your brother running Newman Enterprises side by side.......You know something, don't you!? Nick accuses Phyllis .... Paul sits with Malcolm and Chris: If Daniel's telling the truth, I think I may know a way to prove it.

For those who were members of the message boards - and therefore, no doubt, a friend of 'Leafy's' - Amy Kay has created a very touching tribute. http://dump.grendosa.com/Leafy.wmv . Just added: my own eulogy or sorts. My thoughts: From the heart - Leafy.
