At CL's, a panicked Kevin updates Jana that Daniel was arrested after an anonymous tip lead to the forged painting (hidden in the walls of his apartment). Oh no! Jana wails. Worse - thought to be Daniel's accomplice, HER arrest could be next!
Behind bars and in orange, Daniel's frustrated - whomever's setting him up went to an awful lot of trouble. When Mike arrives to say the Judge wants his bail revoked (until his trial in the Fall!), Amber flashes back to Deacon's desire to spend one night with her - and assures Daniel that she'll prove his innocence way before then.
Nick and Phyllis bring the monosyllable Summer back home to the tackhouse. Mama, she bleats. She can't quite manage 'Daddy' just yet - but when she does he'll be right there to hear it. Nick thanks Phyllis for letting him come home - we're a family - we'll stay a family. Da Da, Summer chimes in on cue. Meanwhile, Paul and Nikki are at the front door - ready to share what they learned about Mary Jane (on their trip to Europe).
In his room, Heather tries to encourage Adam that going to the half way house might not be so bad - it's really nice. Why is it so important to stay in this house anyway? He doesn't even like it here. Time for Adam to flash back - his goal to send Ashley (and therefore Victor) over the edge - then to Ashley fainting the day of her wedding.
Downstairs, Ashley can't just put the episode out of her mind - but won't let Estella chase her from her home either! How did she get past security anyway? What!? You're sending Adam to the half way house!? Why!? This would be a good time for Victor to remind Ashley that she needs to avoid stress. Yes, but Ashley feels just horrible about this. Never mind how wonderful the half way house is, reconsider - for my sake, Ashley pleads.
Still in Adam's room, Heather points out that thanks to the bogus tip from Mary Jane (that lead to the false accusations against Phyllis), she doesn't have any pull with her boss. So no - she can't do anything about Adam being sent to the half way house.
Ashley thoughtfully sends Heather down the back way - to avoid Victor, then gushes over Adam (who's been oh so wonderful to her). You've been incredible. So incredible she'd like him to be Hope's Godfather. Adam's touched - that's unbelievably kind of you. Ashley's also convinced that Victor will change his mind on sending Adam away.
With Summer now in bed, Nikki's horrified to hear the extent of her condition - poor baby, she murmurs (as Phyllis assures that she'll eventually recover). If there's anything Nikki can do .... Meanwhile, Paul feels badly for backing off MJ - and reports they visited every company she supposedly worked for - there's not any evidence she was ever IN Europe. Paul will have to talk to Victor again - neither of them are getting anywhere individually - we've gotta work together to find MJ, he races out to speak to Victor. Phyllis gets a call from Amber - who explains they won't be coming over to see Summer on account of Daniel being in jail. Phyllis is on her way (after updating Nikki and Nick of his arrest).
Back at the jailhouse, Mike explains the next step - maybe Heather will surprise them and be sympathetic. Daniel's frustrated - how can I fight this? When Amber vows to get him out of there, Daniel doesn't see how - foolishly assuming she doesn't know any more than he does.
Paul updates Victor - we're looking for two people - MJ and the 'well connected' person helping her. She's a nobody - literally. Finding out WHO she is will lead to her whereabouts. Victor will get his team on it - focus on your wedding. With all due respect, it's very much Paul's concern. Fine - then Paul's to contact Victor's 'team'. How about a press conference? Couldn't hurt to get her picture out there. And a reward, Victor suggests. Listening in, Adam closes his laptop - then opting NOT to remove the bracelet, hops out his window.
Mike updates the Fisher's that it shouldn't effect them - but who knows what you'll find if you check behind your walls, he quips. And as Kevin goes over to kiss Heather's ass, Mike tries to tie MJ to Daniel's case - she framed his mother. Heather thinks it a stretch - no Judge will let an accused murderer out of jail. Plus, she has no influence over her boss. Sorry - can't help.
Daniel updates the visiting Phyllis - then is updated on Summer's condition. Every word's a struggle. No, Phyllis won't go home - she's HIS mother too. Seriously, go home, Daniel smiles.
You're an idiot - a moron - putting an innocent man in jail! Amber marches into Deacon's suite - then shoves him off her as she threatens to have him thrown in jail. Deacon doubts she'll tell anyone of her past - especially Daniel. Amber will so - Gill Wallace is a personal friend of hers. Deacon goes back to his laptop - don't let me hold you up Amber. Oh - you're still here?
As cameras are being set up at the ranch, Paul informs Ashley that Victor's conducting a press conference - and isn't surprised that Ashley didn't notice anything odd about MJ - sociopath's can be very charming. As he goes to greet Heather at the front door, Ashley straightens Victor's tie - when he's finished, she'd like to tell him about the nice talk she had with Adam. Victor's not impressed when Paul brings Heather over - he doesn't need the DA's office. He then sits before the cameras to address the public - offering a million dollar reward to anyone who leads to the capture of the woman who harmed his granddaughter.
Adam races to the potting shed to warn MJ that Victor's doing a press conference - you have to leave GC right now! You're face is going to be plastered everywhere! Go! MJ runs out without her things (or Kitty). And as Adam's ankle monitor starts to go beep, he hears sirens - perfect.
Nikki and Nick watch Victor's press conference on TV. Nick's thankful Summer's alive - they'll deal with the medical issues. Yes - he's home now. Sharon understands. Nikki again offers to help - her moving in is just a matter of bringing over her clothes. Speaking of clothes, Nick's reminded of Adam walking around with women's clothes - claiming they were Ashley's dry cleaning. Nikki's suspicious too - and after asking about the clothing, drops the bomb - she caught Adam in a compromising position with his lawyer. No - not Heather. His lawyer BOYFRIEND. Oh yes - she's serious. No - Victor doesn't know. His eyes lighting up, Nick thinks Dad should know.
Phyllis tells Daniel to sit back down - all's fine - Nick's back 'for good' (but no - after recent history, she's not buying it). They have a whole team of medical experts that Phyllis can't even pronounce. Back to Daniel - he has no clue who hates him enough to do this - but when he finds out - he'll get them back, tenfold.
Deacon's sure the cops will only laugh at Amber. He was a thousand miles away the night Balfour was killed. Amber's sure he left a left a trail of evidence for her to follow. Deacon's excited - you gonna follow me around? Strip search me? Go ahead, laugh - but Amber WILL bring him down. Deacon has another way they can both get what they want. What if he had evidence that could get Daniel released?
Gill Wallace arrives as the press conference ends. No - Victor's not aware that Adam's left the premises. Adam comes in panting - he went past the boundary because he was chasing someone - a woman with long dark hair. Ashley jumps on that - she saw a trespasser the other day with long dark hair. Hearing she was headed towards the potting shed, Gill calls it in - Wilson's been found (then describes the trespasser they're now to look for instead). As Heather and Paul show Gill to the potting shed, Victor watches Adam and Ashley hugging and comforting one another.
Kevin's not impressed to find the agent taking over for Aucker questioning Jana - and throws him out. Find the real killer you oblivious son of a bitch! Jana politely tells the agent that she won't be answering his questions today - then thanks Kevin for rescuing her.
Deacon won't hand over evidence that'll implicate him - but he CAN get Daniel out. You're so full of it, Amber scoffs. As she walks, Deacon hits the 'play button' on his laptop. It's a recording of Belfour - before his untimely demise - talking about Daniel being an idiot for forging the painting. Deacon nuzzles Amber's neck - she knows what she needs to do to get it. You can't frame an innocent man to get my into bed! You can have any woman you want! True - but YOU'RE the one who got away - but not this time. Amber gets a call from Daniel (on Mike's cell) bad news - the Judge revoked bail. What about you - find anything? As Deacon makes a loud nuisance of himself, Daniel asks if she's alone. Claiming it's the TV at Jimmy's, Amber can't get off the phone quick enough - love you - bye. What are you doing!? she again shoves Deacon away. Deacon warns that he'll be deleting the video tomorrow - and Danny Boy stays in jail. But after one night with Deacon, he figures she just might wanna leave him there.
Back at the tack house, Nick offers to tell Dad about Adam. Nikki's thought about telling Victor - but isn't sure it's the right thing to do. Nick doesn't care about Adam's sexual preferences - but the guy lies - having a boyfriend isn't his only secret.
Recognize this? Gill holds up the infamous purple dress. All do - and now assume Mary Jane was behind everything - but why? While Victor claims he met MJ only briefly at a wedding, Ashley thanks Adam. Victor then decides to withdraw his request to have Adam transferred. No son - thank YOU - for protecting this family.
Meanwhile, MJ finds herself in an alley. A plaid flannel shirt tied around her waist, she wanders past a shopping cart full of cans - and sobs. Where do I go? There's no one left - even Kitty's gone. Jack, she tries to smile - he still loves me. I don't know what I'd do without him.
Next: Liv smiles as she brings Lily some paperwork - all you've gotta do is sign this consent form and we're good to go. No, Lily says as she puts the clipboard down ... I just want to protect you, Jack implores. Protect me? Against what? Sharon seems confused and irritated .... It's over. I know what you've been hiding son, Victor comes into Adam's room to say.
My Thoughts: Everyone knows her - and trusts her? Victor excuses his security guards for disobeying his orders - and ignoring the restraining order against Estella, he doesn't mind that they let her wander the property? Why isn't Victor pissed off that men he pays good money to protect him and his property allowed Estella on the property? He doesn't even wonder why his security guards didn't notice Adam running about the place chasing after the mysterious white female with long dark hair. Clearly, any monkey can gain employment as a Newman security guard. They don't see the woman - but Adam sees the shadow from his bedroom window? Isn't it a bit odd that a blind guy's the 'eye' witness? ... Why does Victor assume Paul's busy planning his wedding? How big an event does he think it'll be (considering it's Nikki's 50th trip down the aisle. I'm sure she has everyone needed to plan a good wedding on speed dial) ... Nice to see that Phyllis isn't counting on Nick's word that he's back for good. Can steamy shower scenes and giggly video game challenges be far behind? ... How nice of Kevin to thank Heather for throwing him in a padded cell - maybe he should give her a Chipmunk T-shirt - perhaps she can take her lunch to court in a Chipmunk lunchbox. And now she's 'sorry' she can't help Michael? When did Heather join the Baldwin/Fisher fan club? Why are Mike and Heather meeting at the coffee house to discuss Daniel's case anyway? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to meet at one of their offices? Or at a place not owned by a suspected 'accomplice'? ... Why does Amber think Detective Gill's a personal friend of hers? He arrested you bimbo! If Deacon's sooo obsessed with Amber, the one who got away, that he'd go to such lengths and expense to get her back, what makes her think he'd really be satisfied with just one night? At the very least, he should have gone for a long weekend. By then, he might be more than eager to return the scraming banshee to Daniel. If he really wanted Amber back, wouldn't it have been a lot easier to dangle a carrot she can't resist - L'il D (aka Little Eric). Judging by the sorrow on her face when looking at his photo, she's very fond of the lad (even though he'd likely be a teenager by now)... Victor rescinding his plan to send Adam to the half way house indicates it's not that wonderful at all - but if he's convinced it would actually help Adam, why can't he work out some day release arrangement so he can get the help and support they offer to blind convicts. Why isn't Heather more opposed to the idea of Adam being moved? It's doubtful she'd be able to come and go like she does at the ranch (even if she does have to sneak in and out the back way to avoid Victor) She wouldn't be able to raid any wine cellars dressed in nothing but a man's shirt ... Why wouldn't Amber just tell Deacon that Daniel already knows about her past? Is it that far fetched that at some point she'd be honest with the man she's been dating for years? How would Deacon know what she tells 'the men in her life'? ... Heather doesn't have influence over her boss anymore? When and why did she EVER have any pull? She's done nothing but waste taxpayers money on losing trials and court hearings against not so innocent people .... Mary Jane doesn't know what she'd do without Jack? Even in her twisted mind, how can she think she HAS Jack? He's comitted to raising a child with another woman. First on her To Do list should be a shower ... When bringing up stuff from the potting shed, why didn't Gill find and bring 'Kitty' up to the ranch? If Gill's got the dress purple in his hand, why hasn't he noticed the large dried up blood stain? How exactly did MJ get so dirty? And how did she get to the alley behind the warehouse so quickly? Who knew the Newman ranch was located right beside derelict buildings ... Nice of Nikki to offer to move into the tack house - I didn't realize it had guest rooms. Gotta wonder who's running Restless Style these days - or are they just gonna skip this month's issue ... Yeah - whomever set Daniel up went to a lot of trouble - and is also a skilled contractor .. I can take care of myself, Daniel assures his Mom. Cause yeah - he's doing a great job of THAT ... Why does everyone in GC have the same laptop? Are they recylcing the same one for evey scene? Just like everyone's using the same suite at the club? ... Note how quickly the ever on duty Gill Wallace flies to the ranch mere seconds after Adam's monitor sends in the signal to indicate he's stepped over his boundaries.
