Today's Spoiler

At the tack house, Princess Phyllis proudly wears her homemade crown. Prince Nick won't get one until he proves his devotion. Yes, 'Mommy pretty', Nick agrees - and when Summer asks to watch the wedding video yet again, Nick thinks it must be because she likes 'happy endings'.

Following his workout, Jack calls Sharon - and eagerly agreeing to go to her doctor's appointment, Jack claims he's just leaving the house and will see her shortly. Imagine Sharon's surprise when she finds him in the hallway - opening the door to the adjacent suite he's rented. What the hell's going on? Busted, Jack's jaw drops.

When Ashley joins her and Victor in the living room, Vikki politely asks how Ashley's feeling. Fine - and how are YOU feeling? Ashley enquires pointedly. Ignoring the bait, a smiling Vikki says how pleased they all are that Ashley's joining the board. Thanking her, Ashley decides she better get dressed - can't be late for her first meeting. Now alone, Victor assures Vikki that Colleen's through at NE. So's JT - Victor's sorry - but he made his own decision. We barely spoke last night, Vikki pouts - can't you ask him to come back? For me - please Daddy? Victor shuts her up by agreeing to think about it.

With plenty of free time on his hands, JT's back at Jimmy's - ready to install a security system for Mac. They discuss Colleen flashing - giving Victor reason to boot her off the board. No, Vikki couldn't change his mind - that's why JT quit (not enjoying watching his wife cave to the boss). Mac's sorry. Yeah, JT too. And as he goes off to have a look around, Nina comes in to say the producers caught wind of the whole Cane/Philip angle and want her to shift focus. Nina's not comfortable with the idea of the whole world watching Chance get to know his father.

On the patio, Philip thanks Chance for coming. Nervous, 'Sir' goes overboard in pushing food on Chance (who thinks it might be a bit late in the game for them to know one another). Now seated, Chance starts by asking why Philip left. Philip had to make a choice - leave or live a lie. I'm gay, he announces.

Billy arrives at the estate grumbling that his Mom's not answering or returning his calls - and that she's 'kissing up to' a con artist. Billy also wants to know if Jill gave him the CEO job against her better judgment.

When Nina frets to Mac about how Chance will react when he learns his father's gay, Mac suggests she write the screenplay the producer's way - but hold off on handing it in (allowing Chance time to adjust). Nina just hopes Chance understands (though she's not even sure SHE does).

When Chance doesn't get why Philip faked his death - just because he's gay, Philip explains there was less acceptance back then - and so many expectations put upon him. He was playing a role - with help (from the bottle). Finally, in a lot of pain, Philip did something drastic. No, Chance doesn't understand - you left a wife and kid - you ran. How can you live with yourself?

As Billy continues to gripe about Jill putting a fraud in charge of CI, Jill finally admits that if it were up to her, he'd never have been CEO of Jabot. Who's decision WAS it? Billy's then stunned to hear Victor had his wife fired just to screw Jack over. Just business?! Billy can't believe what he's hearing.

Meanwhile, Victor's telling Vikki that his business decisions are never influenced by personal feelings. If JT wants his job back, he's gotta come and ask for it - in person. Vikki knows he won't do that. Ashley comes down - what's this about Colleen flashing at bars? She didn't step down for personal reasons? Vikki explains that Colleen got drunk and 'flipped up her top'. And as she takes a well timed call, Victor tries to change the subject. But no - Ashley's not going anywhere til she knows what's going on - and why Victor didn't mention this.

Back at the tackhouse, Summer's glued to the TV - all but ignoring Phyllis as she points out various guests at the wedding. Nick's glad they watched the video - it made him remember - the best day he ever had. Yes - he'd do it again - in a minute.

Now in Sharon's suite, Jack's badgered for the truth until he admits he's concerned about her. No - he's not spying to make sure Sharon's not stealing again. He's worried Mary Jane might come after her - because of him.

Still on the patio, Philip hopes Chance will never be faced with an impossible choice. Chance still doesn't get it - hasn't the family accepted him being gay? Seems to Chance that Philip didn't even try. Philip continues to defend his actions - he thought they'd be better off without him. He's sorry he bailed on them - maybe if he'd had a mother like Nina .. Yeah, Chance feels he hit the jackpot as far as Mother's go. He DOES appreciates Philip coming back when he needed him (to check for the Huntington's gene) - that took guts. Philip was just trying to do the right thing - be a good Dad. The meeting over, Philip offers to stay in GC - just lemme know, he fishes. Hesitating before shaking Philip's extended hand, Chance looks deep in thought as he stands to watch Philip leave.

Back at the mausoleum, Billy's stunned that Victor went against Ashley like that. Jill reminds Billy of his history - are you really surprised I wouldn't choose you? No, Billy wasn't hoping for a 'sorry' - he was hoping to hear Cane was wrong. Jill claims she wasn't choosing one son over the other. No, Billy agrees - she was choosing a fraud over her own son. What do you want from me? Jill's exasperated. Nothing - I don't want a damn thing from you Mom, Billy huffs out.

Jack explains how Mary Jane hurt Summer to create a crisis that would bring Phyllis and Nick together. Now you think she'll come after me? Sharon just wants the truth. Jack tells of the mangled doll he found outside her door - you're a threat to MJ's imaginary relationship with me. Sharon thinks Jack's heightened any threat by moving in across the hall. Move back home - now! she orders.

As Summer continues to gaze, mesmerized, at the TV, Nick insists on skipping the board meeting to stay home. She's improving, Phyllis tries to convince herself. Nick sees Phyllis giving everything she has to the people she loves - just like she did with him (after the plane crash). There's nothing we can't survive - together ~kiss~ Again! they both turn to see Summer is enthusiastic - and away from the TV.

As JT wraps it up at Jimmy's, Billy arrives to accuse the Newman 'watchdog' of being part of the reason Colleen's been kicked off the board. Huh? The old man actually fired his son in law? No - JT clarifies that he quit. Got off the family gravy train? Billy scoffs - and is still chuckling when JT quips back that Billy's still riding his. With JT gone, Mac wonders why he's in such a funk. Billy confides that Cane was telling the truth - his Mom sold him down the river - thanks to the master manipulator Victor Newman.

Victor lies by telling Ashley that the board demanded Colleen's resignation - and he concurred. No - he knew nothing about her flashing. Then why not tell me? Ashley hates to see Colleen lose her seat because of some ridiculous incident - and doesn't feel right about taking advantage of Colleen's humiliation. Victor's sure Colleen would want Ashley to be the one to take her seat. Now, shall we?

Philip returns to the mausoleum to hear Jill moan about being voted 'worst mother of the world'. Philip can relate - he can't tell if Chance is angry - or doesn't feel anything. Chance doesn't seem to care if he sees me again or not. Philip wonders where he, himself, learned to put his own needs above his sons'. Listen to me boy, Jill's pissed - sure, she sent him off to boarding school for a couple of years - but she didn't fake her death and disappear for 20 years!

Now at NE, Victor continues to encourage Ashley into taking the board seat. Escorting her into the office, he then then welcomes everyone - thanks for coming. As Vikki preps a couple of journalists, Victor stands to address all with Ashley at his side - he introduces the candidate he proposes - my wife and mother of my child - please welcome Ms Ashley Abbott Newman.

At Jimmy's, Billy whines about his Mom helping that SOB steal the family company. Furious with Victor, he vows to show Ashley what a snake she married. It won't be an easy sell. Mac isn't sure he should add to Ashley's stress - think of the fallout. And what will Victor do to Jill? She shoulda thought of that before she became his patsy, Billy's unconcerned. When JT returns to talk security business with Mac, she warns Billy not to go anywhere. Unable to let Victor hurt his sister anymore, Billy's sorry he can't keep his word to Mac - and marches out.

Philip didn't mean to insult Jill - just trying to fix their dysfunctional family. Accusing me of abandonment isn't a great place to start, Jill snaps. Philip forgives Jill (and hopes Chance will do the same with him). According to you and Billy, I've screwed up both your lives. Philip knows Jill did her best - and loves them in her own way. Sorry he took so long to figure that out. Jill's sorry too - but hasn't forgiven him for leaving. But - she missed him so much (Philip takes Jill's hand as she caresses his face).

Back at CL's, Chance wonders why Nina didn't tell him that his father's gay. Makes no difference to Chance - but only agreed to meet Philip because he thought Nina was still in love with him - obviously that's not the case, right? Wrong - Philip was the love of Nina's life - and with an apologetic shrug, she thinks he still is.

With Summer asleep, Nick imagines Phyllis is exhausted - but looks beautiful. I've really missed you, he caresses her hair - then leans in for a kiss. He doesn't blame Phyllis for being scared - I put you through hell. Let's go back in time - Nick meant what he said about marrying her all over again. We're exhausted - and not thinking straight. Nick sees things so clearly - he still loves and needs Phyllis - not because she's the mother of his child - because who they are together - Nick doesn't want to lose 'us' ever again. And as he gets down on one knee, Phyllis giggles - what are you doing?

Jack won't apologize for wanting to protect Sharon and their child from this nut case. But Sharon needs to stand on her own two feet. She IS comfortable - and can take care of herself! You're carrying my child, Jack insists he's responsible too - I'm the child's father. No, you're not the baby's father, Sharon finally blurts out.

JT tells Mac he'll start installing the new system tomorrow - and now for the hard part - clearing his stuff out of NE. Hopefully he won't run into Victor. Eyeing Billy's vacant bar stool (and knowing where he went) Mac hopes Billy doesn't either.

As Victor asks all in favour of appointing Ashley to the board raise a hand, Billy appears - you might wanna rethink that Sis. What's the meaning of this? This is a private meeting, Victor growls - call security. Billy announces that JT quit - once he found out about Vikki's old man - now we ALL get to share in that revelation. Victor warns Billy to quit while he's ahead - you're gonna regret this.

No, Sharon didn't tell Jack he's not the father to get him to back off - she said it because it's true. I'm so so sorry, Sharon thought she was doing the right thing - but can't continue the lie. Yes, Nick's the father. Jack couldn't look any more devastated.

Fashioning a ring from a piece of silver 'crown' tinsel, Nick promises to get Phyllis something more substantial for the ceremony. Shut up, she beams - oh my God. Nick doesn't want to live without her. Phyllis Newman, will you marry me again? Nick pops the question (and the ring on).

Next: As Victor and Vikki pretend to talk business, an impassioned Billy tells Ashley exactly what Victor's up to - he's isolating you from us - dividing the family - and keeping YOU under control ... In a forest setting Nikki, Daniel and Noah watch on as Nick slips the ring on Phyllis' finger - this ring is a symbol of my love and recommitment to you ... On the CL's patio, Deacon tells Daniel that Amber's as hot now as she was then. Amber's eyes widen in shock as Daniel delivers a left hook Deacon's the face.

My Thoughts: Summer had already seen the video 6 times when Phyllis got home last night. But Phyllis says she watched it 6 times too? With today's viewing, does that mean this kid's watched the wedding video 13 times? No wonder she's almost catatonic - she'll be needing some coke bottle glasses soon too if she continues to sit so close to the TV. There's been more time spent watching the wedding - than the marriage lasted. Nick doesn't seem to take his job at NE very seriously either - missing an important board meeting to repeatedly watch his wedding - with a kid who doesn't even seem to register whether he's there or not ... Nina's awfully confident of her film making abilities - if she thinks 'the whole world's' gonna watch her movie. And given the many months it takes for a movie to get from screenplay mode - to theatrical release, Chance would have plenty of time to get to know his father before the mess hit the big screen. But really - how much can you even fit into one 2 hour movie? Kay's ordeal - and now Philip's? Perhaps a mini series would be more fitting ... According to Billy, 'some loser' uploaded Colleen's flashing to the Internet. I guess that'd be the Bardwell's. Losers? Yes - but no more so than the twit who lost her spot on the NE board because she got drunk and flashed her boobs - all to impress a bartender she didn't know (and hasn't heard from since). Why wouldn't Adrian be interested in a second date? If he's desperate enough to hop into bed with Jill, a woman old enough to be his mother - why no interest in Colleen? ... Why does Ashley take Victor - the guy who just fired her niece - word for it that Colleen would want her to take her vacated board seat? Why doesn't she just call Colleen herself? ... Jill contradicts herself - she claims she'd NEVER appoint Billy as CEO of Jabot - but then says her only problem was it being 'too much, too soon', doesn't that imply she WOULD have given Billy the job eventually - when he had more experience? ... Is Victor serious when he claims he never lets personal feelings influence business decisions? Isn't he putting Ashley on the board to reassure her that he doesn't think she's losing her marbles? And forcing Jill to appoint Billy as CEO - over her objections - wasn't personal? Wasn't influenced at ALL by his feud with Jack? ... Someone needs to slap that stunned look off Jack's face. Sharon's made a fool of him - letting Jack go around town boasting that he's the father of this baby .... Nice that Mike and Lauren are pointed out in the wedding video - you call her Lu Lu, remember? Phyllis prods Summer. No - no one remembers 'Lu Lu' - since she dropped off the face of the earth and all .... Poor (pathetic) Nina - 20 years later, the gay man who fled his country and family to escape her - leaving her to raise their son alone - without his financial or emotional support, is STILL the love of her life? Maybe - since he hasn't actually been with any men, he'll realize he was mistaken - he's really not gay at all - or perhaps it was just a phase .... Didn't JT already inspect Jimmy's with regards to a security system? Isn't that what he'd just finished doing when he hauled the drunken Colleen off her chair? Now, JT needs to go over the bar again? It's not THAT big a place. But how is it that he didn't come across the homeless woman shacking up in the storage room? ... How on earth did Nina's 'producers' 'catch wind' of the whole Philip/Chance debacle? How would they know - in LA - about Philip being gay - before his own son was even told? ... Wow - Philip's a real big spender - telling Chance to order whatever he wants - his treat. It's a coffee house - the most expensive item on the menu's likely a deluxe muffin ... Why IS Jill so 'crazed' that she can't find the time to return Billy's calls? She hasn't been doing anything but lazing around the mausoleum. It's not like she's been busy giving mani/pedi's at the salon lately. I thought Jill said she'd make up the hours. Bet her new boss is wondering when ... How does Nick figure his marriage to Phyllis is a 'happy ending'? He's spent the last few months pining over the ex wife he knocked up - and even realizes and admits he put Phyllis 'through hell'. Nick has the nerve to tell Phyllis that he wishes THEY could go back in time - but didn't he recently want to go further back in time - with Sharon? And when Nick finally learns he IS the father of Sharon's baby - won't he want to go back in time yet again - to undo his third marriage to Phyllis? How can THREE marriages be a mistake? One or two - yeah, but three? Come ON. If TIIC are determined to introduce a same sex storyline - why not have Sharon and Phyllis dump Nick's indecisive ass and run off into the sunset together? .... How is it that Billy, or anyone else who walks in off the street, can march into a private (yet covered by the media) board meeting? Is there no receptionist posted at her desk outside to intercept wayward visitors? J.ust another thing that makes ya go Hmmmmm.
