Entering the CL's patio, Jack's so busy on his cell that he proceeds inside without even noticing Noah. As Nikki joins his table, Noah's reading the paper aloud - while Dad and Phyllis were getting married, Billy was making a stink at Grandpa's meeting? Did he really screw over Colleen to give Ashley her seat? Grandpa's really been messing with a lot of lives, including Ashley's - must be why the DR was over to check on her. Billy's right, Noah concludes - but he's gonna be on Grandpa's 'list' for a long time.
Inside CL's, Jack continues to scold Billy for upsetting Ashley at the meeting. She's not returning either brother's calls. It's Billy's mess - so HE'LL go over and make it right. Don't cause her any more stress, Jack warns.
Finally coming downstairs, Ashley ignores Victor's offer of breakfast and herbal tea in favour of taking Zapato for a walk. Ashley's 'concerned' too - concerned that Victor humiliated a young girl and used Jill to manipulate her family - then claims he did it for HER. If Victor's truly 'concerned', the least he can do is give her the space she deserves. Meanwhile, In the potting shed, MJ calls out for Kitty to come out of hiding. I've lost Jack - I can't lose you too.
In the tackhouse, the honeymooners aren't too concerned that Summer's regressed to taking naps again. Nick's off to the club to tell Sharon they renewed their vows. Maybe Jack and Sharon will remarry too, Phyllis has high hopes. As Nick toddles off, Phyllis looks delighted as she admires her shiny new ring.
At the club, Sharon's on the phone moaning about Nick renewing his vows - saying to Phyllis what he should have been saying to HER. Bye Mom. Nick arrives to hear Sharon's just attended a prenatal class - then updates that his family's back together - for real this time. Congratulations - that's wonderful, Sharon lies. She knows he belongs with his child - full time - and is happy for him. Nick thanks her - but he didn't just do it for Summer - it makes sense for a lot of reasons (and for everyone). Sharon rejects the idea of marrying Jack - we're over.
Jack visits the tack house and is wowed by the ring. He thinks it terrific that Phyllis and Nick renewed their vows (wanting only the best for them both). He envies their new start. Phyllis thinks he and Sharon can have one too - having a baby together will bring you closer. Jack disagrees - he and Sharon are done for good - and it suits him just fine.
How dare you show up here? Victor finds Billy at the door to check on Ashley. She's out - go home - and don't come back, Victor growls - JT's not here to save you - no one is. 'You BET' he's threatening Billy (who blames Ashley's control freak husband for starting 'this crap'). Victor won't be responsible for what happens if Billy doesn't leave - now.
In the potting shed, MJ continues to fret over her lost Kitty - all she has. Who's gonna love me now? Zapato comes in chewing on Kitty's tail (which MJ yanks from his jaws). Hearing Ashley, MJ closes the door. I hate you, she mutters - how could you do that to my poor Kitty? she sobs as she cradles the tail - it's not fair.
Still on the patio, Noah tells Nikki that he's been spending more time with Eden than at the ranch (where he must tip toe around so as not to upset Ashley). Nikki will always love the ranch - coincidentally her next stop. She and Victor have a lot of history. Noah still doesn't get all the back and forth - it's like a tennis match. Hearing how happy Noah is with Eden, Nikki's glad - and hopes he'll be happy when she marries Paul.
With Billy still holding his ground on the welcome matt, Victor scolds him for blind sided Ashley (who's where she wants to be). Billy assures that he and Jack WILL get though to Ashley. Victor's not sure who he respects less, 'Billy Boy' or his spineless jellyfish brother - slam.
Rolling up his sleeves to help Phyllis fix a cupboard handle, Jack doesn't want to ruin her good mood. You bring joy, love, excitement and passion to Nick. Focus on HIM - not your insecurities. One of us should be happy.
How can you and Jack be through? Nick's puzzled - he's crazy about you - and dying to be a father. Sharon whines about Jack's smothering - she doesn't love him the way he deserves - and can't give Jack the picture perfect life he wants. Getting testy, Sharon insists she can rely on herself.
No - Jack's not OK - but he'll live. Phyllis is sure it'll all change when he sees his baby. Despite that whole paternity mess, he's always been good with Summer. When he looks into the baby's eyes, he'll experience more joy than he could ever imagine.
Nick's sorry if her overstepped - but we're friends - he'll always care about her. Sharon's sorry too. She and Jack don't belong together - but the baby's a blessing, no matter the circumstances. Nick hopes she won't shut Jack out - he'll be an awesome Dad. Sharon's happy that Nick seems content. Gotta go, Nick leaves Sharon to tear up.
As Zapato runs around, Ashley flashes back to her hallucination. Nikki startles her - how are you feeling? Yes, Ashley's fine - you think I'm lying? When Nikki talks about Billy busting up the board meeting, Ashley snaps that it's not her concern. And when Nikki's sure Victor had good reasons for whatever he did, Ashley again points out that it's HER business (and none of Nikki's). Nikki's left to gape as Ashley marches off. As Nikki follows to apologize, Abby comes along ~hug~ Nikki's there to see the new yearling - and after praising Abby on being a great horsewoman, leaves them to enjoy the day. Ashley declines returning to the ranch - let's just sit right here ~hug~
Now at Jimmy's, Billy's got a couple of drinks on the go as he relays that the great man puffed up his chest and they got into it. Jack orders a Scotch for Billy - to replace the one he starts chugging. Yeah, his day's sucking worse - finally realizing the woman he loves isn't worthy of him. He's been chasing after Sharon like a lovesick puppy and getting nothing back. What WAS I thinking? Jack's awake now - his days of being a doormat are DONE.
At the tackhouse, the giggling honeymooners chase one another around - then engage in a video game challenge (which Phyllis had planned to secretly brush up her skills for).
Meeting Noah at CL's, Sharon gives her son a kiss - touched that he ordered her an herbal tea. What's he been up to? Well, yesterday was cool - Nick and Phyllis renewed their vows. Good for them, Sharon beams. Noah's impressed with her reaction. Sharon knows her great son's gonna be a great big brother. Noah's a bad son - can he go meet Eden at the pool? Yeah? You're awesome. Sharon's left alone - to flash back to when she and Nick first bought the place.
Sitting on the bench, Abby wonders if Ashley's mad that Victor put Billy in charge of Jabot instead of her and Jack. She's doesn't get why Victor did it - makes no sense - especially since he's crazy about you. How is that best for you? After Dad died, and Colleen was furious with him, Abby wasn't sure of Victor - but the way he dotes on Ashley is 'really something'. He works from home because he doesn't want to leave you - how romantic. Who knows? If Ashley spent all her time at Jabot, working, there might not be a baby on the way.
Nikki chats with Victor about the new yearling - then mentions bumping into Ashley - who seemed fragile - not herself. She must be upset about the board meeting, Nikki assumes. As Victor stands to pour a glass of water, Nikki encourages him to open up to her. Victor appreciates the offer but doesn't want to talk about it.
After beating him at the video game, Phyllis asks Nick how it went with Sharon. She already knows he and Sharon spilt up because Jack dropped by. As they start a rematch, Phyllis hopes things will change for the Abbott's when their baby comes.
As Mary Jane skulks into Jimmy's, Billy's loudly summarizing that it's over between Jack and Sharon - no going back? Not if my life depended on it, Jack confirms (though he won't abandon the baby). As Billy turns to order another round, MJ pours from a bottle left on the bar - slipping in some meds she just so happens to be carrying around.
Flashing back once more, Sharon snaps out of it and leaves CL's. Meanwhile, Phyllis and Nick hear Summer on the monitor - how cute - she's singing 'our' song ~kiss~
Nikki badgers Victor to open up to her - promising discretion and non judgment. As Victor again declines, Ashley and Abby return to report Zapato's still out rolling around. With Nikki now gone, Ashley continues to give Victor the cold shoulder - before heading upstairs.
MJ stirs the drink with her fingers and slinks off to the other end of the bar. Apparently it's serve yourself day, Billy spots the unattended drink - and though not sure what it is, serves it to Jack. Oh, what the hell, Jack tips it back, grimacing as he swallows - then drinks some more.
Next: Dressed in a robe, her hair wrapped in a towel turban, MJ climbs all over Jack (who's passing out on his sofa). Oh, Sharon, he moans ... Billy's sure that even with the recession, there's a lot of wealthy, old, lonely men looking for some company. Jill looks incredibly hurt - My God - you really hate me, don't you? she murmurs ... A weepy Amber struggles to remove the apartment key from her keychain - I can't believe we're breaking up over this, she sniffles to Daniel.
My Thoughts: Is it big news to Billy that Ashley's unstable and enduring a high risk pregnancy? His sudden concern seems somewhat contrived. Maybe the bro's could give Traci a call once in a while - see how SHE'S doing? ... Looks like Sharon ballooned overnight ... Why would Nikki feel the need to say 'It's Nikki' - when she's virtually face to face with Ashley? ... Why does Noah have to tip toe around the ranch? To avoid upsetting Ashley? It's a HUGE estate. Noah likely has his own wing ... Look how long Eden and I have been together, Noah proudly boasts (when it's barely been a year) .. And why is he speaking badly of the man who's putting a roof over his head (and his @ss in a new car)? Apparently, Noah's never read 'Ruthless' .. Know it all Abby doesn't think other parents work from home so that they can spend more time together? Are the other parents billionaires? Sharing their home with a crazy non-pregnant woman and a blind convict? Plus, how much work is Victor actually DOING from home? .... Did Nick really think the challenging part of owning CL's would be making it a profitable business? The way I recall it, the hardest part was getting Victor to back off ... Not to sound like a broken record or anything - but really, why wasn't Billy stopped at the gates by security? He should never have made it to Victor's front door (at least unannounced) ... And does Mary Jane's trench coat make her invisible? After managing to slip in and out of the potting shed, undetected by the 'heightened' security, she then is then able to add meds to a drink left unattended. Hasn't the bartender heard about the dangers of leaving drinks unattended (for the very reason that they might be tampered with?) - and how does Billy know the glass half full of an unknown liquor wasn't just left there by another customer? Couldn't MJ at least have used a stir stick instead of her dirty fingers? Has she washed her hands since handling the tail of a dead cat - or putting her fingers in a canine's mouth? Didn't any of Jimmy's patrons notice her fumbling with the childproof med container - and pouring her own drink? ... How is MJ getting around anyway? Is the ranch within walking distance of Jimmy's bar? Or is it on the bus route? .... Ashley can't really blame Victor for humiliating a young girl - Colleen's the one who decided to get on a chair and flash her ta ta's. Speaking of which, could Sharon's neckline be any lower? Looks like a handy top for breastfeeding ... Hearing of Phyllis renewing her vows, Jack declares she must be walking on air? Wrong - the air's all between her ears. Didn't Jack and Phyllis promise to confide to one another anything they felt they should know? Why doesn't he tell her that Sharon's baby is Nick's - doesn't he think that pertinent information? Does he really think it'll remain a secret to the grave? The last time Jack held out on Phyllis, he was punished with a slap to the face ... Given Nick's history - recent history - and the fact that just weeks ago, he was planning a life with Sharon, the ex he repeatedly cheated with - why couldn't he have asked Phyllis to accompany him to the club? If preferred, surely she could have grabbed a drink at the bar while he gave Sharon the great news .... Doesn't Mary Jane know that her Kitty is already dead? Thanks to HER. Does she not notice Kitty doesn't really drink the saucer's of milk she serves it? How unclimatic will it be if the rumoured death that 'rocks' the Newman's is the family pooch .. Of course Nick knows that Jack will make an awesome Dad - from experience. He's repeatedly said that Jack was more a father to him than Victor was. Too bad Kyle and Keemo can't say the same. Phyllis explains the joy of being a parent like he's never experienced it before.... Why are Nick and Phyllis so surprised that Sharon and Jack aren't running back to each other? Are they forgetting the letter that declared Nick the love of Sharon's life? Or that just 2 weeks ago, SHE was planning a life with Nick?
