At the club, Paul greets his beautiful bride to be. Rehearsal dinner - check. Wedding rings - check. Can't wait til tomorrow, the happy Paul toddles off - leaving Victor to saunter over - ready for the big day? He wishes her and Paul the best. Nikki thanks him - so, you're ready for this? Victor asks if SHE is. Nikki's found a good, kind man who'd never hurt anyone. Yes, but that doesn't answer Victor's question. She's marrying Paul because he's safe - he loves you far more than you love him (a pity for both of you). Nikki's left to mull THAT over.

As Ashley decides to take Zapato for a walk, Adam comes along to announce the cook's making quiche for lunch - a highlight of his day. Chuckling, both are going just a little stir crazy. Adam mentions Victor's lies - that'd drive anyone crazy (not that he thinks she is). Ashley gushes - Adam so sweet - such a comfort to her (as well as Zapato). What WOULD she do without him?

At the tacky house, Vikki congratulates Nick on renewing his vows. She and JT have a few things to work on - we're fighting - must be the Newman curse. STAYING married is a lot harder than GETTING married. On cue, JT arrives with some photos of Paul (for the display board they're working on for the wedding). Reed's having a great time with Phyllis and Summer, he reports. When Nick mentions JT leaving NE, JT never felt like 'a suit' anyway - and is looking forward to a change.

Paul arrives at Jack's as summoned. Jack KNOWS Mary Jane's still in town - I slept with her last night. Meanwhile, MJ's lurking around the ranch woodlands - too bad Kitty can't be laid to rest there. That beast needs to be punished. Back at the ranch, Victor finds Ashley frantic that she lost Zapato - I've gotta find him! Adam comes down to report the dog's not upstairs either.

Nick points out that both he and Vikki left NE - then came back. JT doesn't see that in the cards for him, then goes to meet up with Paul. Without a kiss, Vikki tells JT she'll see him at the church. Nick and Vikki are left to sift through the many photos of Victor and Nikki - it's like there's a gravitational pull that keeps everyone orbiting around Victor. Nick has to admire JT for what he's doing. Look at this one, Nick holds up a photo of their smiling parents - they were so young.

At the chapel, Nikki's thrilled to find Father Todd. My brother's one lucky guy, Todd opines - adding that he's happy to fill in for the rehearsal. He hands over an old photo he found of Nikki and Paul. Flashback to the young couple in love. But Nikki's smile fades as Victor's dire words echo in her head. Nikki now sniffs her bouquet - flashing back to Paul's proposal - and then Victor's (which invoked a more enthusiastic response). Where did THAT come from? Nikki pushes the memories aside.

As Paul reads the note MJ left, Jack relays how he got drunk, and possibly drugged, slept with MJ - thinking she was Sharon. Paul thinks it lucky he's still alive - it's very possible she spiked your drink. And then there's this - her dead cat's tail.

Back at the ranch, Victor wonders where the hell the dog is. And as he checks outside, Adam comforts Ashley. On the front step, Victor finds Zapato - you look tired, my baby, he pets the pooch.

Seated in a pew, Nikki flashes back to her first 'I do's' with Victor - then, again as she lay in her hospital bed. And yet another 'promise to make it work this time' at the Colonnade room. When Vikki arrives, Nikki admits she was daydreaming - about how many times she's walked down the aisle. Half those weddings were with Dad, Vikki jokes - but she sees how 'easy' Nikki and Paul are - you look so happy. Having doubts?

With Zapato brought inside, the vet explains he's been exposed to some sort of toxin - and must take him to the clinic for tests. Ashley blames herself - for letting him off they leash when they were spraying for ticks by the stables. Could this be intentional? The vet will know more after the blood work. Victor gets a call from Paul - MJ's in town. Victor reports his dog's been poisoned - can Paul come over? Paul has a rehearsal dinner (and will then be out of contact for a coupla days) JT will be covering for him - hope you catch her. Back on the CL's patio, Paul gives JT the rings - and a partnership - the business card reads 'Williams and Hellstrum Investigations'.

Vikki shrugs off the bride's cold feet - it's hard to pull out of Dad's gravitational pull - makes sense you'd be thinking of him today. It's good to get it out of your system. Nikki thanks her wise daughter for good advice. Now, if only Vikki could fix her own relationship. After Vikki leaves, Nikki again indulges in more flashback's of tender moments with Victor (including naming their new puppy; Zapato).

When the vet's sorry to say Zapato's dead, Adam consoles the weepy Ashley that he's at peace. Victor asks the vet to find out if he was poisoned - then tears up himself as the vet exits.

Still on the patio, JT doesn't need to discuss the partnership with Vikki - he's in. Good - Paul hands over their first case - the 'dangerous' Mary Jane Benson. She's been tormenting Ashley, hurt Summer, and for reasons unknown, is fixated on Jack Abbott.

Jack arrives at the chapel to wish Nikki well - he hopes she and Paul will be truly happy. Nikki wishes that for him and Sharon (knowing what she and the baby mean to him). Do you ever think about....? What might have happened if our baby wasn't stillborn? Yes, Jack does -a child bonds a couple forever. Thinking again briefly of Victor, Nikki and Jack light a candle together for their child (who would be a teenager now). With a parting hug, Jack thinks she deserves a better man than 'the moustache' - a man who'll put her first. Good luck. Nikki's left to flashback to several bitter arguments with Victor (and the harsh words exchanged).

Ashley continues to blame herself for Zapato's death. Victor reassures it's not her fault and sending her up to rest, confides to Adam that MJ's in town - but don't tell Ashley. Security's being stepped up yet again.

Jack's next stop is the ranch. Taking some shots at Adam, Jack finds Victor on the phone, instructing security that no one but immediate family's allowed access. Jack's not there to see Ashley, he's there to talk to Victor about his stalker, Mary Jane - has Victor seen her since the wedding? Paul suggested they join forces. Victor reports his dog was poisoned. Jack's hired security too - they'll be showing up tonight. As Victor orders Jack not to tell Ashley about that lunatic, she descends the stairs to slowly to overhear.

Nick stops by the chapel to tease Nikki about having no wild bachelorette party - and wait til you see Summer in her amazing flower girl dress. Giving Paul his official seal of approval, Nick would be honoured to walk his mother down the aisle ~hug~ It's good to see her moving forward. Before going to help Vikki unload the car, Nick reiterates how good Paul is for her - which leaves Nikki flashing back to sweet moments with Paul, including his proposal.

At the chapel, JT and Vikki have a tense conversation about him agreeing to work with Paul - without consulting her. Nick interrupts - followed by Paul (who introduces his brother, Father Todd).

Are you two arguing again? Ashley joins Victor and Jack. She just wants some peace and quiet - it that too much to ask? Jack's sorry to hear about Zapato - and since Ashley won't come home with him, offers to be there 'in a flash' if she needs him. At the door, Victor and Jack quietly agree to keep one another posted if they see or hear anything.

Mary Jane shows up at Jack's door with a bouquet and a note 'Thanks for last night - see you again real soon'. She leaves both at the front door and walks off smiling.

Paul joins Nikki - hear that noise? That clacking sound? It's his knees knocking. Nikki opens her wedding gift - a necklace with an ice cream cone charm - to symbolize their meeting. He wouldn't change a single step in their long journey. Touched, Nikki holds her hair up so Paul can put the necklace on. She can't wait to take the final steps of that journey - down the aisle tomorrow ~kiss~

Next: Do you want to be with me, or not? Tyra confronts Neil (who hangs and shakes his head) ... You're missing the point, Vikki snaps. No - JT gets the point - I know - this is about you not having control over everything ... Ashley gapes at Sabrina (in the purple dress) I know everything about you - and I know a secret - about your baby.

My Thoughts: Adam calls Mary Jane a psycho? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black .... You serious about this? JT asks of Paul - as he holds the 'Williams and Hellstrum Investigations' business card. Duh - if Paul wasn't serious, why would he go to the expense of ordering the new cards? (which would have been a waste of money if JT declined the partnership) ... Jack and Nikki really think they'd still be together if their unborn child hadn't died? Children didn't hold her marriage to Victor together (just as it hasn't held any other marriage together for any length of time). And speaking of children that don't exist, why hasn't Paul invited his son Ricky to his wedding? Does Nikki even know she has a young step son out there somewhere? ... Nick tells Vikki that she and JT should have a recommitment ceremony - 'it works'. Yeah - but you're still on your proverbial honeymoon - let's see how long 'it works' once the truth comes out that Sharon's carrying Nick's baby. And really - if the FIRST commitment was 'working' there wouldn't be a need for 'recommitment' ... Paul expresses skepticism that Jack could sleep with MJ and not know it. Forgetting that it's not exactly a rare occurrence in GC. Dru slept with Malcolm (thinking it was Neil) - and Nick slept with Grace Turner (thinking it was Sharon). Apparently cold medication will do that to ya ... Since Jack thinks his drink was 'spiked', why hasn't he thought to ask around at Jimmy's - see if Mac, or anyone else saw anything suspicious? ... 'As far as Adam can tell' Zapato's not upstairs? Does it make sense to have a blind guy searching for anything? ... Kinda 'cold'? Nick scolds Vikki for giving JT the cold shoulder - but isn't cheating on his wife - with his ex wife 'kinda cold' too? ... Todd thinks his mother's 'over it by now'? Does that mean Mary's been invited to the wedding - and will be flying in on her broom, a pot of ribs and sauerkraut under her arm? ... Though it's cool that having the same actors portraying the same characters for 20+ years allows for these flashback's, they're sometimes overused - and painful to watch - Paul and Nikki's forced dialogue and unconvincing acting was most pitiful. Both have come a long way alright. Still, it's interesting to see the changes in fashion and hair styles. Nikki's had almost as many 'do's' and she's said 'I do'... Paul wouldn't change 'one step' of their journey together? Not even the step Nikki took in marrying David Chow? .... Oh good - the ranch's security has been 'stepped up'. I guess that's a level up from being 'heightened' and 'on full alert'. But shouldn't it always have been policy that only immediate family be automatically granted access to a billionaires residence - shouldn't any other 'walk ins' have needed approval before being cleared? .... Why is Jack walking around with that putrid dead cat's tail? Isn't it getting a bit odorous and maggoty by now? Couldn't he at least slipped it into an envelope or even a sandwich baggie? And having a 'killer' headache doesn't necessarily mean Jack's suffering from anything more than a common hangover. If you thought there was the remotest possibility you'd been drugged, wouldn't you summon one of those convenient traveling lab tech's out for a blood test to confirm it?... Oh, what a sad day - great acting, or rather playing dead by Zapato. If there was an Emmy category for animals, he'd be a shoo-in. Will Zapato come back from the dead - or as a ghost? Or an identical twin brother? Oh well - I hope the actor playing Zapato has gone on to bigger and better roles - maybe prime time, if not the big screen. All that's missing is a touching montage set to music - perhaps something from All Dogs Go To Heaven ... Paul tells Victor that Jack 'ran into Mary Jane last night'. Jack wasn't really in any shape to 'run' - maybe, since she bought a HP test, 'dripped' would be a more appropriate word. Cause if Jack 'ran' into MJ, he ran into her penis first.
