Today's Spoiler

Bellied up to Jimmy's bar, the jilted groom makes a call summoning over a drinking companion - who wouldn't want depressing company in a dive bar? Paul could use a friend right now. Nearby, in her trench coat and hat, MJ sneaks out the door.

At the club, Billy delicately updates Jack on their sister's condition - using such politically correct terms as wiggin' out, losin' it and 'nuts'. This goes beyond an hourly session on some shrink's sofa once a week - she needs to be committed.

Duh - Ashley reminds Adam that Sabrina's dead. Maybe not - Adam points out that Philip Chancellor faked his dead - why not Sabrina? But before going to Victor, let's check out the dent (to see if it was there before last night). Finding them hugging, the suspicious Victor's assured that Ashley just had a bad dream - yup - that's all it was, a bad dream, really.

At the mausoleum, Chance tells Mommy all about his first day on the job. Is Chloe around? Nina observes he's been hanging around her a lot? He wouldn't have a crush on the separated mother of a baby, would he? Chill, Chance reassures - even if he did - she's in love with Billy. Sighing, Nina's not reassured one bit.

Huh? Back with Billy? At CL's, Chloe reminds Mac that she swore she'd never get back with HER husband - did the halo fall off her head? Mac never pretended to be a Saint. Perhaps because she's a SLUT? Mac's sorry - but Mrs Billy Abbott needs to face the truth - it's over - you lost. Billy doesn't DO 'forever'? Not with YOU, Mac jabs some more. Billy's just been waiting for the right time to tell Chloe (who just wouldn't stop pushing Chance her way). Mac had NOTHING whatsoever to do with the 'crash n burn' of the Abbott's marriage. Happy now? Chloe stomps away from the 'home wrecker' to the tend to a crying Delia. Does anybody work here? she pounds on the counter. Towel over her shoulder, Gloria comes out to take Chloe's order - then scolds Jeff for drinking the profits. Seems they've given the Fisher's the day off. Victor's not returning their call - time to show Ashley the photo of her husband with 'that Benson broad'. Jeff wants to save that for when they're desperate. There's a toilet over flowed in the ladies room, Glo shoves the towel at him - desperate enough for ya!?

Back at the club, the brothers Abbott continue to debate committing Ashley. While Jack's reluctant, Billy persists in making his case - she's even dreaming about hitting a dead woman with her car.

At the ranch, Ashley refuses to let Victor comfort her. Could she still be upset about the Colleen incident? Good thing Nikki called off her wedding - cause it reminded Victor of how lucky THEY are. Take a trip - cheer up, he encourages. Ashley wonders why he wants her gone.

Going through his closet, Adam just so happens to have a shirt the same colour as Sabrina's purple dress. I guess he doesn't wear it much - because he proceeds in shredding it. Ashley's making this all soooo easy.

Oops - Mac didn't mean to be a bitch. It's not who she is. Drowning her sorrows in cake, Chloe bets Mac just doesn't want other people to know who she REALLY is. Oh look! Here's Chance. Chloe waves him over.<awkward moment> He's there in perfect timing to hear Mac sugar coat sleeping with Chloe's husband. </awkward moment>.

Paul's drinking companion of choice arrives. Nina's there for him - even at 3 am (should he need to call). Paul's tried to call Nikki (assuming she went to see her sister). Nina can't fathom WHY Nikki walked away from the greatest man in the world. Victor, she guesses ~head shake/hug~ sorry.

No silly - Victor meant a trip away TOGETHER. Without even attempting to come up with a feasible excuse, Ashley adopts the 'Just Say No' mantra. Abby comes along to whine about Zapato - look, here's a baseball he used to chew on. Clinging to Noah, Eden's so sorry for Victor's loss. He was like family, Noah chimes in. The kids have decided to hold a memorial where Zapato's buried.

Mary Jane skulks around the chapel - then pulls the curtain on the confessional. Bless me father for I have sinned - it's been 6 months since her last confession - and boy, does she have a lot to repent for. On the other side of the ornamental grate, Father Todd looks bored as MJ admits she's done some unforgivable things.

Glo's got another problem for Jeff (who's already struggling with the espresso machine). The recycling guy's here - and there's nothing in the bins! She's unimpressed to hear Jeff plans to make $25 off the cans and bottles. He damn well better find a way to get Victor to pay up - THEN she can go back to the Penthouse - where she belongs.

Still at CL's, Chloe ends a call then calls Mac a hypocrite - how DOES she live with herself - forcing Billy to choose between his daughter and girlfriend? It'll cost him his career (which is already shaky after the whole NE board meeting stunt). Jeff suddenly takes notice - as Mac appears to doubt herself.

Whoa - slow down, Jack gestures with both hands - let's not get carried away. We need consent. Billy wants some strings pulled - call Kay or Olivia. Hey - Billy wouldn't just be trying to stick it to Victor, would he? We need to spring her from the haunted house - and into someplace safe. That's the first step in Ashley regaining her sanity.

It's a solemn occasion, as all gather by candlelight to eulogize Zapato. Abby goes first - Zapato was her first friend at the ranch - and her first dog. She loved him - even though he wasn't a little 'purse puppy'. Sure, she hated when he'd get paw prints on her white 'princess coat' - but *sniff* she'd do anything for those paw prints now.

Unforgivable things? Father Todd IS awake. Well, for starters, Mary Jane hasn't been very kind to animals.

Noah stoops at Zapato's fresh (and flower covered grave) to eulogize the superhero dog - he could actually tell when Grandpa was gonna have a seizure. He'd lick Noah's face when he was down. Just watching his tail wag back and forth was enough to put a smile on Noah's face. Yeah, Victor confirms - he wagged his tail til the end. Noah hopes 'Z-man' is wagging his tail wherever he is now. *Ahem* Eden realizes she better do something more than put her arm around the sniffling Noah. I wasn't around Zapato that much. If ever, Abby mutters. Eden talks about Noah playing catch with Zapato - takes a special dog to play catch with a kid. And with that, Noah solemnly places the baseball atop the grave. Would Ashley like to say something? She would - how great it was when Zapato poked his nose at her big belly - as if making sure the baby was OK. If only she didn't let him off the leash that day. I'd never, ever hurt you. Victor consoles the crumbling Ashley.

OK - so Mary Jane's done more than hurt animals - she's done some lying - stealing - and adultery with a married man... she's been less than kind - but no, she hasn't hurt anyone on purpose. If only she had a 'do over'.

Ashley places her flower atop Zapato's grave. Victor remembers Summer pulling on Zapato's hears. He loved our family - Nick, Vikki and Nikki loved him - he saved Victor's life more than once. If only Victor could have saved HIS. All give him some time alone. Bye my Boy - you were a good dog - I loved you. Victor then answers his cell - it's the vet - the sappy music turns ominous. It wasn't the tick spray? Thank you.

Mary Jane's made a lot of mistakes - but her mother always said confession would give one a fresh start - sins would be washed away.

The woman who did this won't go unpunished. Victor promises the mound of dirt. And on the ground, he spots and picks up Nikki's ice cream cone necklace - where IS Nikki? he puzzles aloud.

Still eating the profits, Jeff listens as Mac admits she's sleeping with a married man. She doesn't want to ruin Billy's career - but neither would give up their relationship for it. Mac's encouraged him to spend time with Delia. She TRIED to stay away - it's Chloe's fault. You were both miserable - and now Billy's happy. Mac's gut was right - we belong together - always have - always will. Chloe was trying to set us up, she addresses Chance - but as usual, Chloe tried too hard. Maybe if Chloe stopped being a control freak she'd be the one 'chased' instead of 'chasING'. Maybe there's some great guys out there for her. Wheeling Delia out, Chloe just hopes Billy and the slut are miserable. Chance excuses himself to go after her.

Victor shows Ashley the necklace Nikki must have dropped - but where could she be? Oh well - it can wait until she comes back. Victor appreciates Ashley's apology - but still doesn't quite understand why she's so upset. He then tries to get rid of Jack and Billy (who Ashley asks be invited in). Once inside, the Abbott boys are there to take their sister - and Victor better just stay out of their way.

Upstairs, Adam cuts his leg - and looking mighty pleased with himself, mops the blood up with a piece of the purple shirt he ripped up.

As Jack and Billy badger Ashley to pack up, Victor announces that security's on their way. The boys refuse to leave without their sister. All but covering her ears with her hands and singing 'la la la la', Ashley doesn't want to be kidnapped. She's safer here than with you, Victor scoffs - she'll leave over his dead body. As some security guys come to manhandle the Abbott's, the 3 teens arrive to wonder what's going on. How dare you come here and upset my wife and child, Victor growls. Over Billy's protests, Jack announces it's time to go - but this ain't over, he points a finger - one way or another my sister IS leaving this house. Get out now! Victor shouts at the Abbott's retreating backs.

Through her tears, Mary Jane confesses she's cut herself off from her family. She just saw her brother - he's hurting - she should have been there for him (but has her own drama). Father Todd thinks the regular parish Priest can connect her with .... Mary Jane doesn't need a shrink! She's not a bad person *sniff* You have to bend the rules sometimes. That's behind her now. Like Mom said - confession washes sins away. Mom's the best Catholic MJ knows. She has a brother who's a Priest in Detroit. Detroit? Patty - is that you? Father Todd finds the other side of the confessional empty - and frowns towards the door she's exited.

Back at the mausoleum, baby monitor in hand, Chloe sits to feel sorry for herself. You OK? Chance comes in to ask. Chloe cries - I still had hope. Now, it's all gone. As Chance draws her into his embrace, Nina returns (unseen) to scowl disapprovingly at the pair.

When the Abbott boys arrive at CL's, Billy updates Mac that he and Jack are trying to help Ashley. Why was Mac calling him? She told Chloe. Billy smiles - whatever 'living hell' Chloe puts him through will be a piece of cake after what he's seen today. And now they can ~kiss~ in public. Jack ends a call with his lawyer to update Billy that a husband (Victor) outranks a sibling (them). But they can't stop there - not with a lunatic on the loose. MJ killed Zapato - she's obsessed with me, Jack confides (and Ashley's at the top of the list). As always, Jeff's strategically placed - all ears.

As Paul settles his tab at Jimmy's, Father Todd calls - because of his vows he can't go into detail - but there's something he needs to know. Our sister's back in GC - and in trouble.

Still sniffling, Mary Jane scrounges up some leftovers off the plates on the CL's patio - taking a drink from the teapot. Hey! Gloria barks - what do you think you're doing!? Turning MJ around, Glo suddenly changes her tune - you look kinda hungry. Sit down - I'll get ya sumthin' to eat. Head buried, MJ plucks packets of sugar and pockets them. 'Mary Jane Benson', Gloria goes in to marvel at this turn of events - you stay right where you are.

Ashley's in the fetal position in bed when Adam comes knocking. Maybe I need to go with Jack and Billy, she babbles - maybe I need to get out of here. Nu uh - Adam's the proudest kid at show n' tell. Look what he found sticking out of the bumper - a piece of clothing! Oh My God - there's blood - I hit someone? Sabrina? I have to tell someone. No way - Ashley's to tell no one - unless she wants to have her baby in jail. Adam's the only one who can protect her now ~hug~ Thank you so much.

Next: Chloe wants to give Billy full custody of Delia - you can give her what I can't ... Over her dinner menu, Nina asks Chance what's going on between him and Chloe. There's nothing going on between me and Chloe, he assures - but wishes there were ... You're inviting a stranger to stay with you? Mary Jane's skeptical. Yeah, sure - why not? Jeff answers easily.

My Thoughts: Nice shirt Adam. Looks like something that came out of Daniel's closet (from Amber's he/she line). And Heather never questioned your sexual orientation? Perhaps Rafe bought it for him as a little 'thanks for last night' gift. What else would Adam have come 'out of the closet' with - but a fuchsia shirt? Bradski Carlton was the only one able to pull off the feminine colours (and sometimes Neil) and still look manly.... Everywhere Abby looks she sees something that reminds her of Zapato - and don't forget the smell - that wet dog smell - some muddy paw prints on the kitchen floor - some fleas in the Persian rug - a pee stain on the sofa - and over there's a Jimmy Choo Zapato destroyed - oh, and here Victor - here's his last crap I scooped off the lawn. It's not even hardened yet - Oh Zapato - how we miss thee ... And yes - fellow animal lovers - I HAVE lost a beloved pet - but not today .... So - Zapato's memorial was touching - more so than Marge's send off. Zapato was Abby's FIRST friend at the ranch? He was (and still is) her ONLY friend ... Nice that Abby forgives Zapato for muddying up her white Princess coat (not sure what that is but I'm assuming it's expensive) ... Too bad Eden didn't have more to add - like - I remember the times he'd hump my leg. I'd swat him away with the newspaper - but he'd just keep coming back for more. Instead, she awkwardly bleats that 'it takes a special dog to play catch with a kid'. Wrong - it takes a special dog to play CHESS with a kid - but pretty well any dog can catch a ball thrown towards it's head ... No one thought to erect a framed photo for the memorial - or to bury a shoe with the dog? Perhaps a hush puppy? Fisher wasn't invited? No post grave reception - with 'chow' served? Like some hot 'dogs' or biscuits? Zapato wasn't like family - HE gave them unconditional love - never cheated on, fired - or stabbed anybody in the back .. Zapato wasn't poking his big ole nose at Ashley's big ole belly to protect the baby - maybe the intuitive dog was trying to tip her off that there's no baby there ... Since Victor got the vet's call while at the dog's grave, why didn't he immediately go to tell Ashley it wasn't the tick spray that did Zapato in . He KNOWS Ashley blames herself - surely he could bring her SOME measure of comfort by absolving her of any guilt ... With Victor plucking Nikki's necklace up off the grass - one has to wonder, how close to the 'main road' is Zapato buried? ... Now that we're reminded that Victor suffers from epilepsy, will he get another seizure detecting dog? Or has he miraculously been cured? .... Jack's sure MJ killed Zapato - she's obsessed and 'going after anyone close to' Jack. BUT Jack's not 'close' to Zapato - why didn't MJ kill Jack's invisible dog? Has Jack hired round the clock security for Fisher? .... Lets hope Glo's not drying any utensils or mugs with that towel she's been flapping around at Jeffrey all day - is he really supposed to clean an overflowed toilet with a tea towel? That oughtta be good for business. Why is Gloria so distraught about having no recycling in the bins. Are the recycling guys gonna report them to the green police? And even if Jeff took the bottles and cans for refund, shouldn't there be paper, plastics, Styrofoam? Oh Glo - the penthouse isn't where you belong - that's the BIG house ..... Nina suggests Chance has 'a crush' on Chloe - a crush? Is he in grade 4? And she should know better than anyone what it's like to have an overbearing mother who openly disapproves of the 'wrong' girl. She WAS that wrong girl. But, then again, it's equally ironic for Chloe to be calling Mac a 'slut' and a 'home wrecker' (as she didn't care about the home she wrecked for Lily and Cane, Not only did she wreck it - she moved in) ... Why are the Bardwell's wasting time waiting for payout from Victor? They should have taken everything they have to Jack ... Billy's sudden concern for Ashley still doesn't seem convincing - committing her against her will isn't exactly an act of brotherly love. Even Jack, his own brother, had to question whether Billy was just trying to get even with Victor .. Why hasn't ghostJohn appeared to guide Jack with regards to his 'beauty'? ..... How are the Bardwell's affording to pay Phyllis rent money for the penthouse? ... I'm sure Nikki'd be thrilled to hear her talk with Victor served only to make him realize how lucky he is to have Ashley. I don't think that's the goal she had in mind ... Chloe really thinks Billy would lose his career if his affair with Mac was made public? Oh yes - cause NO Jabot executive has EVER been involved in scandalous activity?
