Arriving at the CL's patio, the overprotective Cane wipes everything down (to prevent the vulnerable, but feeling fine Lily from getting an infection). When Mac comes, they all chuckle about how much they all love Humphrey - even Billy. Lily's about to call to thank him for babysitting, when Mac informs he's with Chloe - signing divorce papers, she beams.

Confused at Billy's hesitation in signing the divorce papers, Chloe denies she's trying to pull anything on him. But as he flashes back to Delia's birth, he claims to just need some time to think it over.

At the salon, Glo and Jill exchange some barbs. Did she lose a bet or something? The customer's always right, Glo promises to hand out Jill's new cards - imagine - Jabot's CEo scraping cuticles. Just pick a damn colour, Jill hisses. Glo orders the works - finishing with a French manicure. You'll take what you get and like it, Jill snaps. Come on sweetie, Glo wiggles her digits in Jill's face - she wants to get outta this dump.

Back at CL's, the impatient Jeff's on the phone - wondering how long it takes to slap paint on some nails. He settles for leaving Glo a message - hurry - he wants Victor's million but can't handle that whacko on his own. Jack arrives - huh? What's this about Mary Jane Benson???

Inside the church, Patty listens as Paul and Chance argue about him bringing MJ out. Chance is stunned when Heather opposes him - sorry, but I can't let you do this. Both she and Paul give reasons to wait. The woman inside this church has been manipulated and set up. Chance is sorry - but you're out of time. Owen, the fill in DA arrives - and asks Paul to fill him in. He guarantees his sister won't be mistreated. Paul asserts that the delusional Patty won't survive in jail - she's living 20 years ago and won't be fit to stand trial. Any psychiatric assessment must be done HERE - there will be NO surrender unless on MY terms, Paul vows as he slams the doors shut. Owen drags Heather aside - she's got 20 minutes to get thorough to her father - this'll be a PR nightmare. Inside, Paul's on the phone arranging a press conference - he has a story viewers will want to know about.

Back at CL's, Jack questions Jeff (who claims there's a pretty price on MJ's pretty head). What makes Jeff think he can find her? he wants the money more. Mac pops up - Yeah, it's a big day for her and Billy. Jack has nothing against Mac (who assures Billy will be involved in Delia's life - just like he will with the baby he and Sharon are having). Jack's jaw hangs - hard to tell how Sharon's doing. Mac remains positive - she's learned a lot from Billy. Wonder never cease.

On the patio, Lily grows tired as she picks at her muffin - must be the 'crash' the nurses mentioned. Cane chuckles at Chloe getting divorced twice in one year - must be some kinda record huh? It's his and Chloe's anniversary. Lily doesn't see how he can even laugh about that.

Billy has other problems - with his access. He wants guaranteed hours. And what about this part about reimbursing for clothes Chloe buys Delia - have you seen this woman shop!? Billy can't agree to that. Flashing back to their wedding - and his recent birthday, Billy doesn't want to rush this. He just needs more time - how about we reschedule? Chloe concludes he's having second thoughts - not about the settlement - but about 'us'.

Inside St Jude's, with Paul and Patty, Heather tries to reason with Paul - they can arrest Patty here. Paul claims his sister has been victimized - time and time again - who else will stand up for her? You're my little niece, Patty caresses Heather's hair as she talks about the beautiful children she and her Uncle Jack would have. If only he was here. Paul takes a call that alerts him the press has arrived. Heather balks - her office doesn't want this made public. As they go to hash it out, Patty's left to follow mewing that leads her to a stray cat. Hello little sweetie, she pets the cat - then thanks the Lord.

What's this colour called? Glo just can't decide. Kill me now, Jill sighs - as Glo chuckles. her favourites are gossip and blackmail. What will it take for her to keep quiet? Glo orders Jill to turn the TV up - then gapes as a news reporter gives some background - then lets Paul talk about how Patty's a disturbed woman. She calls Jeff - I'm on my way. Where are you going? Jill shrugs out of her white jacket and gives chase. She didn't pay, she explains to her puzzled boss - I'll get 'er!

At CL's, Jack and Mac are also spellbound as they watch the televised press conference. As Mac recalls the various stories MJ told her, Jack opines that she's insane - and why is Paul defending her? Paul now tells the reporter that the church has a tradition of coming to the aid of the vulnerable. The DA's office is moments away from OK-ing a raid. In the church? the reporter balks. She's a fragile woman - mistreated and manipulated - no monster - she deserves our compassion. Paul won't let Mary Jane Benson be written off as a lost cause. Aside, Heather rolls her eyes.

Still on the patio, Cane didn't mean to make light of what Lily went through thanks to Chloe. Lily can't understand why Cane LET her go through it. How can he be the same person who's now taking such good care of her? Cane has no excuses. Lily can't even believe his story of being chased by cattle thieves - he could have a wife and kids in Australia for all Lily knows. Take me home - I'm tired, she snaps.

Billy warns Chloe not to read anything into his stalling. He has legitimate concerns. Given a minute of privacy, Chloe asks Billy what's going on. He claims it's a matter of principle. Getting pregnant on purpose, Billy doesn't feel right about Chloe profiting from it. Chloe wonders if he's jealous of the thought of another man being with his wife - raising his child. If he's having regrets, he should call it off - allowing Delia to grow up with both parents. Alas, Billy thinks they're past that now. Delia calls the mediator back in - we'll call to reschedule (once they figure out what Billy wants).

Now back at CL's, the Bardwell's wonder how to get MJ out - as Jack gets a call from her. She always thought HE would be the one to save her - why isn't HE here?

Back at home, Lily gives the fussing Cane the cold shoulder - she lost a year of her life she'll never get back. Everything's a trigger - anniversary's - places - songs. Didn't he rip Billy and Chloe apart for lying to them - when HE was lying to everyone. Cane explains he couldn't expose Billy and Chloe without exposing himself. Lily needs Cane - but can't pretend. Cane promises to be there for her.

At the club's bar, Billy goes over the settlement agreement - as he flashes back to Chloe's offbeat wedding vows (listing the traits she admires in him - and how good they look together). He frowns - and orders a Scotch, neat.

When Chloe arrives at CL's, Mac asks how she is. Confused. Why? Ask my husband. Your ex husband? Mac corrects. Oh - you refused to sign the papers. No - Billy did. Weird huh?

Jack coaxes MJ to turn herself in. He can't just run over and save her. But it's not just me, MJ explains. What!? I'm pregnant, MJ announces - you ARE coming to help us aren't you? I'm on my way, Jack snaps. Mac asks if that was Billy on the phone. No - MJ - she wants me - on a white charger, Jack signs (as Jeff listens). And as Jack heads out, Jeff stops him - he has a plan to bring Victor to his knees - surely, you can't say no to that. On the patio, Jill watches.

Mac makes a beeline to Billy (who's still at the bar stressing over the agreement). With a kiss, Mac detects Scotch - was it that bad? No - being around Chloe makes Billy tense. They'll need another meeting. Mac heard - from Chloe. Billy assumes that in Chloe's version, he came to his senses and begged her to come back to him. No - she's confused. And so's Mac. Billy doesn't want to sign anything he'll regret - no - not the divorce - the terms. Chloe made it way too easy today - he's suspicious. Don't misunderstand. This is just paperwork. Mac tells Billy not to sign unless he's sure. If you're not sure, I'm not sure. Come on, Billy shakes his head (as Mac walks out).

At CL's, Chloe's telling Ester that Billy still loves her - he still feels the connection. Ester's not so sure - he's already signed the papers. Chloe hasn't - who knew all she had to do was back off. He's jealous and freaking out - seeing me with Chance. Ester warns Chloe not to take advantage of Chance. Chloe thinks him a nice guy - but there's nothing there. She and Delia WILL get Billy back.

Jeff's sure Jack would partner with the devil to bring Victor down - this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Certain things are about to happen. With Jeff unable to give more details, Jack's outta there - and only wishes 'this conversation never happened'. As Jeff leaves, Jill hurries after him.

Outside the now busy church, Owen whines about the public uproar - just what he was trying to avoid. She's Maria Von Trapp and we're the Nazi's storming the convent. Heather agrees that Patty really needs help. At the front doors, Paul gives Owen his terms - Patty him his custody - with an ankle monitor - 24 hour security (at his expense). No? That's exactly what Victor Newman (and Adam) got. If denied, Paul will make sure the public knows the 'rest of us' get different justice than the rich and powerful. What's it gonna be?!

Lily snuggles under a blanket - the tiredness hit her so fast. None of it is gonna be easy (the chemo and forgiving Cane). Cane knows they have much to work through. He only asks that she let him help. Lily's off to bed. No thanks, she doesn't want Cane to lay down with her. Alone, Cane sighs.

Chloe tells Ester that she'll give her new boyfriend a call right now. When Ester updates on the stand off at the church, Chloe thinks it perfect - and leaves a teasing message for her 'house mate'. There - that oughtta do it. As Chloe goes to fetch more coffee, a sad looking Mac slumps into a seat on the patio. With another Scotch served to him, Billy signs the papers - and downs the booze in one gulp.

Jeff arrives at the church - followed by Jill. Whatever he's up to, she wants in on it too. Inside, Patty cuddles and coos to the kitten. A wonderful man's coming to get them out of there. A nun comes behind her to light a candle - and as Patty names her new pet 'Kitty Kitty', Gloria turns around to blow out the match.

Out front, Owen explains to Paul that Adam isn't dangerous - MJ poisoned a child. People don't want her for a neighbour. Who'll protect YOU? Paul will buy a house in the country. She's slipping away - and won't survive being locked up. Jack arrives to tell Paul that MJ called - he thinks he can get through to her. Paul takes him inside - and drops the bomb that MJ is his sister - YOUR ex wife. Patty!? Jack's stunned.

Next: Nick tells Phyllis that last night he went to see Sharon in the hospital. I was there, Phyllis replies... Sharon's getting frustrated with her mother - you don't get it! Jack's not the father of the baby, Nick is.l..When Jack comes out, he's peppered with questions - did he talk to MJ? What are her demands?
