As Ashley trembles and cries in his arms (awakened by a nightmare) Victor flashes back to Jack insisting that she's 'in pieces'. You're safe, he coos - don't worry anymore. Over his shoulder, Ashley doesn't look convinced.
At the tackhouse, Phyllis tells Summer that they're going on a trip. Yes! On a plane - to Switzerland - for 3 weeks. We'll make new friends. Yes - MR Ears can come. She leaves Nick a message regarding Summer's passport (as Summer calls out 'love Daddy' in the background - much to Phyllis' delight). Meanwhile, Nick marches into Sharon's room - to immediately confront her on what he just overheard her tell Doris, IS he the father?
Paul rants to Jack about the cops storming in - violating sanctuary - and now Patty's GONE! Some one helped her, both agree - but who? Dressed in nun's habit's, both Glo and Patty hop into a white van, and are driven off - by Jeffrey.
A distraught Ashley tells Adam and Victor about her dream - Sabrina's trying to take Victor away. Adam repeats his reassurance that it's her insecurities coming out - should he call DR Taylor? No doctor! Victor cuts him off - and hustles Adam back to his room.
As Glo rips her habit off, Patty realizes she's no nun - and recognizes the Bardwell's from the coffee shop - who ARE you people? Your guardian angels, Glo claims they've saved her from the evil Victor Newman. Of COURSE Jack wouldn't betray you - Glo saw the way he looked at Patty. Jack will be a lucky guy to have you for a wife Jeff chimes in. Patty explains Kitty Kitty - a gift from God. Glo then quietly updates Jeff that Mary Jane is Patty William's - Paul's sister.
Paul lashes out at Chance for busting in like the church was a crack house. He was only doing his job Owen defends - and THEY didn't cut the power. When Paul continues to bellow at the 'hothead rookie detective', Chance matches his decibels - no way he'd let anyone else get hurt. After an officer admits to letting two nuns out, Jack recalls seeing a nun when he first arrived. Chance barks at the officers to look for two nuns - one's dangerous. She's NOT! Paul maintains loudly. And as Chance calls in Patty's description, Paul rips the walkie talkie from his hand and smashes it on the ground - resulting in his prompt arrest.
Am I the father? Of course not, Sharon clings to her lie - leave it alone - please. Nick reminds of the day she got the DNA results - we were planning our future - a new house - a new life. Was she lying then too? Did she want to be with Jack? No - Sharon lied to Jack. It's yours, she admits - I'm carrying your child.
Still in the van, Jeff and Glo talk about Patty being like a little kid - why's she like that? they wonder. Patty thinks it time she and Kitty Kitty get out - can she please be let off at the bus station? The Bardwell's point out that the cops are looking for her - and wouldn't Jack want her to be safe? For the wedding? As Glo and Jeff now argue about whether to take a left or a right, Patty wants them to hurry - Kitty Kitty's really hungry and needs some milk.
Back at the church, Chance defends his decision to arrest Paul (and violate the sanctity of the church) - no matter what Heather says. Owen warns that he doesn't want Heather for an enemy - she's trying to go over HIS head right now. Inside (and now cuffed), Paul feels he should be out looking for Patty. As he and Jack talk about Patty's obsession with him, Paul claims that not only is Victor a target - he's otherwise involved too. Jack thinks it makes terrible, but perfect sense. He DID tell Paul to back off his investigation - and who else would have the connections and money to create Patty's false identity? Could he have transformed Patty into Mary Jane - and brought her to GC to get back at Jack? Hell yeah - but this time the collateral damage is UNACCEPTABLE. Cut to Phyllis admiring Summer's scribbling - what an awesome airplane! she lies.
Victor continues to calm Ashley (who wonders why Sabrina won't leave her alone). She doesn't exist anymore - she's dead, Victor gently reminds. Estella and Mary Jane wanted you to think her alive - but she's dead - believe that. Now tired, Ashley wants to be alone. But Victor's not done drumming it into Ashley's soft head that Sabrina's dead - so repeats it a few more times, until Ashley snaps - I HAVE been seeing her! It's NOT my imagination - she hates me and our baby! She won't rest until she gets you back. Now go! she shouts. Having had enough, Victor insists Ashley come with him - let's go (he all but drags her from the room).
How could you do this? Not tell me I'm the father? Nick whines. Things were starting to heal - and now they'll be ripped wide open again. Yes, Jack knows, Sharon admits. And when Nick demands to know the reason she lied, Sharon merely thought it was best (and still does).
At the tackhouse, Jack's updated Phyllis on the MJ/Patty situation. Phyllis is relieved to be leaving town. Via flashback's they realize that Patty gave Summer a 'kiss of death. Oh my God - she tried to murder my daughter in front of me! Phyllis is outraged. She's Paul's sister, Jack now reveals. Yes, his former wife - the woman who shot him.
Ashley asks Adam to help her upstairs. But as Adam jumps into his role of Ashley's caretaker, Victor barks that he doesn't need him. Why are you so mean to him? Ashley whimpers as Adam retreats upstairs. Victor sits Ashley down - then pulls out a file. Open it, please, he requests as he shows articles about Sabrina's wreck - and obituaries. He'll sit there all night if he has to. Adam listens from the staircase as Victor insists Sabrina's dead - look at these. Sabrina didn't fake her death. Victor was with her in the hospital - she grew weaker - and then she died. Victor felt her go cold - saw her casket lowered into the ground. She's dead - no danger to you - is it getting through?
Remembering how Sheila masqueraded as HER, Phyllis gets how Patty pulled it off - but why? Because you treated a woman like dirt - twice, my incredible daughter may not have a future - has to learn how to speak - AGAIN!? This is supposed to be an airplane! she shows the picture Summer scribbled - it looks like a 2 year old drew it! She became a deranged bitch because YOU treated her like dirt. Jack's truly sorry - but is going through hell himself. And as Phyllis blames herself for leaving Summer with 'Mary Jane', Jack drops the final bomb - that Victor planned and financed Patty's return. He did it all to get back at me.
Though Ashley's sorry Victor had to dredge up painful memories, Victor thinks it worth it if he convinced Ashley (who now believes Sabrina's dead). Thank God ~hug~ Of course Victor will stay with her tonight. Answering (and ending) a call with just a 'thank you' ~click~ Victor sends Ashley upstairs - and will be there 'shortly'. After Ashley heads up to bed, Victor turns on the TV - pours a drink - and watches the newscast on the church standoff (and Patty's subsequent escape).
Nick thinks they need to make plans. Sharon doesn't - you have a wife and child. Your life is with THEM. Nick's talking about THEIR child - the one Cassie predicted. This changes everything. Nick won't walk away now that he knows the truth.
The bickering Bardwell's seem to be lost - as Patty whines non stop that Kitty Kitty's hungry. Jeffrey makes a sudden U-turn to avoid a roadblock - we'll get you the damned milk, he snaps. Patty climbs up front - Kitty needs milk - go BACK! Glo manages to shove Patty back - promising to get Kitty some milk - just stop crying.
Phyllis needs to think about whether she believes Victor's involved in Mary Jane's plan. But IF Jack's rivalry with Victor cost Summer her childhood, she doesn't know how she'll act towards him (and react). Jack vows to find Patty - if it takes every dime he has. Shell shocked, Phyllis asks him to please leave - Nick should be home soon. Hesitating briefly at the door, Jack reluctantly exits without further word.
Obviously NOT talking about Noah's school, Nick absorbs the news - based on Sharon's lie, he made decisions that effected everyone. It was so hard to regain Phyllis' trust. He won't lie to her - she needs to hear it from him BEFORE she leaves on her trip. Sharon tells him to go ahead - it's no secret anymore. It'll kill her - it shouldn't be like this, Nick gripes as he heads for the door. But with sirens going off and staff running about, he's told they're in lock down - no one comes in - no one goes out.
As Paul's led from the church, Owen's updating the eager press. Watching at home, drinking, Victor wonders silently why he hasn't heard from the Bardwell's. A reporter asks Jack if he's willing to match Victor's million dollar reward????
Driving along, Glo's glad Kitty Kitty's enjoying his tuna - dug out from Glo's purse. Yum yum - eat it up sweetie, Patty coos. Now completely lost, Jeff and Glo listen to Jack on the radio - his hopes that anyone finding Patty treat her with kid gloves. He doubles Victor's reward. That's right folks - 2 million dollars - cash - for the safe return of Mary Jane Benson. The Bardwell's couldn't be more delighted - a bidding war! Who knows how high Victor and Jack will go. Grinning, Patty's pleased too - Jack sure must want her back. Promise the police won't get us, she whines (as the Bardwell's eye one another).
Upstairs, Ashley confronts Adam - why would he, her 'friend', try to make her think Sabrina's alive? Adam stammers - you were upset.... Ashley asks Adam to go - please. And as Adam tries to concoct and spit out an explanation, Ashley slams her bedroom door in his face.
Nick and Sharon are told that a patient tried to escape - the lock down could continue all night. Nick calls Phyllis to explain - but due to bad reception, Phyllis doesn't hear Nick's explanation - and they he's hoping to see her because there's something she needs to know BEFORE she leaves on her trip. And with Summer sleeping in her arms, Phyllis suggests Nick meet her at the ranch or the airport tomorrow. Hanging up, Nick's not sure what Phyllis heard - and both he and Sharon look nervous as the lights go out.
Next: We brought you here for your wedding, Glo tells a smiling Patty (who's happy sitting in the back of the van) ... Cane places his hand on Lily's forehead - you're burning up! ... Nick tells Sharon - Phyllis needs to know before she leaves that I'm the father - she deserves to know (and hear it from me).
My Thoughts: Looks like the Bardwell's have finally hit the jackpot - now if only they can get Pattycakes to either Victor or Jack before the cops catch up with them. How convenient that the church has nun's habits in the linen closet - and that the two women were able to escape the church - getting past the crowd of press, police and other interested parties - not to mention them hurdling the yellow police tape in their nun's attire! Will Williams and Hellstrum Investigations be filing chapter 11 soon? JT's on the verge of losing his Newman connections - and Paul's days of calling in to the station for favours based on your Daddy's 20 year long connections are over. Chance Chancellor manages to leapfrog over anyone else in line to land the convenient opening of Detective - even though he has to read the Miranda rights off an index card? Doesn't anyone who's ever seen a cop show on TV know the 'you have the right to remain silent' spiel? .... Not sure where the Bardwell's are - but I hope they see Nikki laying in whatever ditch she rolled into. Was she wearing camouflage? Cause I can't imagine why she hasn't been spotted by now. Aren't the guards on high alert? Aren't there staff members coming and going from the ranch? If only she rolled onto a river bank (like Kay did) where some hapless fisherman in hip waders would happen upon her ... Does anyone else think Patty looks exactly like Kevin did when wedged into the back seat of Cliff's car? Has she too regressed into a child like state? ... I understand Phyllis being angry and all - but why is she so angry at Jack? It's not his fault Summer can't draw an airplane ... Of course Nick and Sharon are trapped together in her room - dominated by a big ole bed - with the lights out. Despite the fact that it's a psych ward, I'm sure she can dig out some romantic, nicely scented candles to set the mood ... Who carries a spare tin of tuna in their purse? Is Gloria that hard up that she's stealing canned goods from her son's coffee shop?
