On the CL's patio, Chloe assures her Mom (by phone) that she won't hurt 'eye candy' Chance - once she gets Billy back, she'll find someone for him. Philip comes along - to meet Nina. Since Chloe's meeting Chance, perhaps they should go somewhere else? Oh, don't be silly - we're all adults, Chloe smiles. When Philip admits he's proud of his son, he's encouraged to tell Chance.

At the club, Colleen wraps up a call with the dean - then gives JT the good news - she's landed a job teaching art history at the college (as long as her references check out). JT offers a congratulatory hug (which Vikki peers around the corner to watch).

Lily rejects Cane's 'pestering' - just wanting to be left alone. She's sorry for biting his head off (then whines about not being able to see her friends or leave the house due to her high temperature). I'm not strong enough to get through this - and doesn't want to hear that she's a 'fighter' - she can't get through the next 24 hours, never mind the next 24 weeks.

Napping on the sofa, Ashley awakens with a start - from yet another nightmare. She knows she has nothing to fear from Sabrina - but who WAS that? Huh? Never mind, Ashley tells Victor that she's half asleep still (and heads up to bed) - leaving a puzzled Victor to call 'Bardwell' - where the hell's my package? When Kay arrives, Victor would rather speak outside (in consideration of Ashley). Kay's worried about Nikki (who hasn't contacted her or her children). We need to find her.

Lily gripes about Neil and Devon always telling her she's a fighter. OK, Cane won't use that word - but hey - what about those frozen eggs. Just think about 'them' - your son, your daughter (who'll want to be a model like her Mom). You'll be the strongest woman they know. Whomever their father is will be incredible, Lily's sure.

Happy, Colleen looks forward to working in a Newman-free zone. JT should try it (but it's kinda hard when he's married to one). At that, Vikki's overheard enough and sulks off - so doesn't hear JT claim that he wants to grow old with Vikki. Colleen's gonna go out of town for a few days - to forget she's a 'home wrecker'. I'm not? Vikki might disagree with that. Watching JT leave, Colleen turns and withers under the evil glare of Mrs Hellstrum.

Kay shares her concern for Nikki's sobriety - what happened between her and Victor the night she left? She just said she wasn't going to marry Paul, that's it, Victor fibs.

Nina pastes on a smile as she finds Philip with Chloe - and when Chloe goes to meet Chance (who's being torn a new one over his mishandling the church stand off - and Patty's escape) - all listen in. Owen warns that it better not happen again - doesn't matter WHO he's related to! On the patio, Chance is surprised by the coincidence (of bumping into his parents). Nina and Philip both praise Chance - then of course agree to excuse him and Chloe. Eyeing the pair, Nina shares her disapproval with Philip.

Explaining that JT was just congratulating her, Colleen AGAIN tells Vikki that JT was just saying how much he loves his wife and son. Don't lose him - or be stupid enough to throw him away (kinda like Colleen did).

Victor flashes back to Nikki's last visit (and declaration of undying love - and belief that it's mutual). Ashley listens as Victor admits Nikki told him she still loved him. And you turned her away? Kay scolds. What else could Victor do? He has a wife and baby to consider. Kay hoped he'd be more concerned - it IS their anniversary weekend, after all. Oh, you don't care? What's happened to you? Kay repeats, leaving deeply disappointed. Back inside, Victor checks the date on his desktop planner - Nikki's wedding vows echoing in his head.

Back in her room, the troubled Ashley is in denial that Nikki was there that night - Victor's wrong - Sabrina was here. She flashes back to Victor convincing her that Sabrina IS dead. Sabrina's dead, Ashley mutters to herself - then who did I hit?

On the patio, Philip asks Nina why she doesn't like Chloe. The answer? She's obsessed with his little brother Billy - and will break Chance's heart. Like I did yours? Chance responds.

Inside, Chloe gives Chance a pep talk - and is impressed with the way he's handling things - giving himself a clean slate. No big deal to Chance (with Delia on his knee) - didn't Chloe just give HERSELF a clean slate by signing the divorce papers? Chloe stammers .. about that - and for some odd reason, gets a story about Chance's 2nd or 3rd birthday (when he wouldn't stop touching the icing on his cake).

Left alone for some girl talk, Colleen gets Lily laughing - then gives her a present - a scarf from Fenmores. She also brings good news - that she'll be teaching art history - once her references check out (thanks to Adrian's glowing referral). They'll celebrate by shopping once Colleen gets back. She then gives Lily an angel her father gave her - to watch over her. Oh, Lily can't take that. Right - Cane would want me to disinfect it, Colleen gives it a wipe - it's a loan - give it back WHEN you go into remission. Colleen's not prepared to lose someone else she loves (and has had a chat with God).

Victor's surprised to find Traci at the door - was she in on her brother's plot to have Ashley committed? Considering Ash's history, Traci thought she should be evaluated - and wanting to see her sister, won't take no for an answer. You'll take whatever I give you, Victor states - but since she's such a nice person, and he's in a good mood, he'll invite her in.

Colleen gets a call from her Mom - and then another from Dean Whitman. Uh oh - seems he's heard all about her Internet flashing. Hanging up, Colleen explains he researched her name online. Thanks to her friggin' Godfather she won't get the position. Near tears, Colleen realizes she'll never live it down. And off the ranch she goes (to meet her Mom) - and that SOB.

Ashley isn't exactly overjoyed to see Traci - who asks Victor to give them some privacy. As he goes downstairs, Ashley mentions them wanting her locked up. The psychiatrist said she's fine. Traci wonders why Ashley's not taking her calls. Ashley doesn't want to talk about New York - she knows what she was like after Robert - but she's NOT crazy. I'm perfectly sane. Look at you - shaking like a leaf, Traci challenges.

Back on the patio, Nina admits she felt guilty for coming between Philip and Cricket. it's in the past, he shrugs it off - and has followed her career. Yes - he thought about his son - every day. But didn't want to come back and stir up everything. Nina jokes that they could have gone clubbing - fought over boyfriends. Philip thinks it turned out the way it was supposed to - the proof is right in there (he points to Chance as he chats with Chloe). He then gets down on bended knee - and taking Nina's hand asks her to do the honour of not being his wife - but his best friend? Yes, fine, Nina laughs - now get up! 'Mama bear' then eyes her 'cub in danger - and marches over to ask for a word with Chloe - about the screenplay, she lies. We don't have any business, Chloe's puzzled. We do if you plan to seduce my son, Nina corrects.

With Colleen gone, Lily brings up guardian angels (which she has in Dru and him). Smiling (and happy that Lily is too) Cane disinfects himself before coming close (and at Lily's request, holds her tightly).

Philip joins Chance at the counter to apologize for sounding like an idiot - he has no right to play the proud Dad. He didn't know his Dad (so gets his cues from sitcoms). Giving it another go, Philip's impressed that he faced his boss reaming him out - and was proud of him on TV. YOU face your life (while Philip ran from his). Hold on a second, Chance calls him back as he's about to walk off.

Chloe's sarcastic - it's coffee and a croissant. But Nina's not stupid - you're trying to make Billy jealous (using my son). You don't know anything about me, Chloe points out. Wrong - I WAS you, Nina bends over - you've met your match.

JT joins Nikki at the club's bar. Yes, he's working (but doesn't want to discuss Paul's sister). Why? Because you think she's connected to my father? JT doesn't want to argue - wait for me and we'll grab a bit, he walks off before Vikki can decline. Kay comes over - oh Victoria - thank God you're here. Having just talked to Victor, Kay's sure her mother's in serious trouble.

Ashley feels her entire family's turned against her - whispering behind her back (when she wants their support). Traci feels shut out - and is deeply concerned. Living in this house is breaking you. If Victor and Adam are helping, why aren't things getting better. Ashley insists she's not losing her mind again. She needs a sister to count on - and talk to - to believe in her. I do, Traci assures - as both sisters now cry in one another's arms.

When Lily's soaking wet, Cane concludes that her fever broke. Lily leans in to give him a gentle kiss, then again leans into his arms.

Chance rhymes off a sandwich he used to ask his Mom to make. She cried - because it was Philip's favourite. So, maybe he DID inherit a few genes from Philip.

Chloe's unconcerned. It's not like Nina's the first 'mother from hell' she's dealt with. Again, Nina leans over to be extra menacing. Jill's a lightweight, she sneers. Get your hooks outta my son or you're asking for trouble. Everything cool? Chance saunters over with Philip in tow. Yeah, your mother and I were just getting to know one another, Chloe answers (as both ladies force a smile). Suddenly having to leave, Chloe bids all a good night. Excellent, Nina beams (as Chance sees Chloe out). Sitting with Nina, Philip knows that look - it means trouble. Seems Nina's smile has turned into a scowl.

Back at the club, Kay tells Vikki that Nikki poured her heart out to Victor - then after being 'turned away', has not been heard from since. This leads Kay to fear that Nikki's in a worse state than when she called (drunk) from Mexico. JT joins the ladies. No - Vikki's not OK. Drop the search for Paul's sister - her mother's more important. Something bad has happened.

Victor flashes back to his appeal to God (in the chapel Nikki and Paul were to marry in) - admitting that he still loves Nikki. A knock at the door brings Colleen - her mother can wait - she has unfinished business to discuss with Victor.

No guarantees - but Traci will talk to Jack and Billy - love you Sis ~hug~ Ashley feels better - but no sooner has Traci left the room, that she flashes back to the rainy night she hitting Nikki. Hearing shattering glass (dropped by Ashley), Traci runs back. Oh no - oh no, a distressed Ashley repeats - what have I done?

Next: I never thought YOU would walk out on me, Colleen shouts at Jack (who looks ashamed) ... On the patio, Daniel bets there's one thing he could do that would stop Amber from marrying Deacon. What? Amber bites ... Ashley's in tears as she confesses to Adam - she thinks the person she hit that night was NIKKI.

My Thoughts: Oh good - nice to see the woman with no memory is the one to remember Nikki ... Colleen's now qualified to teach? Since when does boinking the art history professor equate to 'experience'? Usually years of teacher's college are required - in addition to majoring in the course to be taught. But it's no wonder the Professor gave her a 'glowing' review'. Odd that he's now Colleen's biggest fan - he was so pissed off with her cheating that he left town - and he never DID do anything about Jack sending him off on that bogus assignment (then rewriting Adrian's article to slander Sabrina) .... But why does Colleen even need a job? Isn't she still Jabot's model? (despite never doing any actual photo shoots or anything) ... 'Last minute' reference checks? Isn't that usually one of the first things potential employers do? Before they offer the job? And with GC being so small - you'd think the Dean would already be well aware of Colleen's penchant for drunken flashing. It WAS such a big scandal that she lost her Daddy's board seat after all ... Can't blame Vikki for not buying Colleen's story that JT was gushing about how much he loves his wife and son - was that before, after - or during him embracing the ex he recently locked lips with? Not that she has much reason to play the betrayed wife. I doubt she was telling Deacon how much she loves her son and husband (while in bed with him) .... But where does Vikki get off asking JT to drop one case (finding Paul's sister) - and take another (finding her wayward mother)? JT may be a partner - but Paul's still the one calling the shots. And given that Patty nearly killed her neice, you'd think Vikki would also want the lunatic caught. She HAS been coming and going from Newman property at will - what if it's Reed next time? Is Vikki offering to pay JT? Or is this one on the house. And why does he have to DROP a case anyway? Can't Williams and Hellstrum handle tow cases at once? ... Why is Victor wondering 'where the hell' his package is? Is he expecting Jeffrey to drop Patty off at the ranch? Wasn't Jeffrey ordered to get her OUT of GC? How is he expected to accomplish that? He's broke ... Victor asks Kay to speak to him outside? In case Ashley hears him? The ranch is a sprawling property - not a bachelor apartment. You'd think Victor would be able to find a room far enough away that Ashley wouldn't be bothered. But Adam's the one Victor really needs to worry about. Now that he's lost his sight, his sense of hearing has kicked in to bionic proportions. He manages to hear everything and anything of interest. And Ashley's quite a sound sleeper - if she didn't come down to find out why Paul was shouting at the top of his lungs, I doubt she'll get out of bed due to Kay's whispering .... Cane's sure Lily's eggs - if a baby girl when hatched, will want to be a model - just like her Mom? Yes - cause Mom's such a famous and long time model. Recognized and adored everywhere she goes. Why Lily can barely get a coffee at Crimson Lights for all the fans hounding her for her autograph. Perhaps Cane meant to say 'just like her Grandmother' ... Why is Owen so pissed off at the rookie Detective? Where was the SENIOR Detective who's job it is to 'show him the ropes'? Detective Wallace should have handled it - Detective Chance Chancellor still has that new Detective smell. Exactly WHAT 'better not happen again'? That an escaped psycho slips past the entire police force dressed as a nun? I don't think that will be a problem - what are the chances Chance? (no pun intended). Chance actually remembers details of his 2nd or was it 3rd birthday? When he couldn't keep his hands off the cake's icing? You'd think after the first time, Nina would have been smart enough to move the cake out of the toddler's reach .... Nina thinks Jill a 'lightweight'? What will Nina, presumably the 'heavyweight' do? Shouldn't she be working on her blockbuster movie? Have she and Amber even met to discuss it since Kay forced them to collaborate? Didn't her pushy producers give her a deadline? .... What's with Colleen and her endless supply of scarfs? The last gift she got Lily was a scarf too - and it wasn't even a cool reversible/skulls scarf like the one Amber gave Kevin. Can't she come up with a more original gift? Surely Fenmore's has more of a selection. How many scarfs can Lily possibly need? I'm guessing Colleen's shopping trip will be to, you guessed it, a scarf store ... With the ranch's security on high alert (due to a known - and escaped lunatic targetting the family) - why is Victor surprised to find ANYONE at his door these days? Since he instructed security that only immediate family be granted access, the only surprise is that first Paul, and then Traci made it to the front door. Oh look - and here's Colleen too. Good work security team! Well done .... Philip gets his cues on fatherhood from sitcoms? Which ones? I don't recall Doctor Huxtable - or even Homer Simpson running off for 20 years because they were afraid to come out of the closet.
