Detroit huh? Courtesy of Ryder, know-it-all Daniel has Kevin (and his plan) all figured out. Not that it's any of Daniel's beeswax, but Kevin's not gonna fence the Terroni - whoa no - he's gonna use the reward to get his brother out of jail (and likely donate a portion to charity if that do gooder Jana has any say). Daniel has other ideas - Ryder's playin' you. Help ME (put a stop to the wedding between Amber and Deacon).
Lounging on her bed, Sharon talks to her belly. Could Phyllis have dragged 'Daddy' off to Europe (to keep him away from us)? Oh well, we'll have a wonderful life together. Look how calm Sharon is. By the time baby arrives, she might even have her act together. But now, it's off to group therapy.
Vikki joins Nick at CL's - to discuss some business problems, and personal. Never mind Colleen, where could Mom be? JT's been too preoccupied to look for her, Vikki sulks - and they can't very well ask Paul, the jilted fiance. Neither understand why Nikki hasn't contacted them - and can only pray Patty's found before she hurts someone else.
Searching the cabin, Jack and the detectives find no clues - but surmise that Patty took Colleen hostage. But how did she get the upper hand? Opening a drawer, Jack has the answer - my Dad's gun's missing.
Now morning, Patty awakens Colleen, gun in hand. Let's get moving, she drags her captive up and along. Ow, ow, my foot's asleep, Colleen manages to drop a fabric clue from her scarf before the awkward hike continues.
In their fancy wedding duds, the Murphy's arrive at the 'over the top' decorated club. He's GOT to be kidding, Kay sneers. Along comes Chance to inform that Chloe's the Matron of Honour. She's confused too - last anyone heard Amber was trying to get back with Daniel. Kay excuses herself to chat with Vikki about Nikki's whereabouts (planning to get Chance involved).
Back at CL's, Daniel and Kevin continue to argue. It's all an act, Daniel's sure - Ryder wasn't in that alley. he does whatever Deacon tells him (and is in it for the money). Assuming that Daniel 'hurt' his brother, Kevin's not surprised Ryder said whatever Daniel wanted to hear. If he IS mixed up with Deacon, he needs my help even MORE.
Deacon visits Ryder - who whines that everyone's trying to turn Kevin against him. Stick to the act, Ryder's told - Kevin delivers the painting - Ryder gets everything he's ever dreamed of (and so does Amber - a wonderful life with Deacon).
Chloe paces - marrying the man you hate to save the man you love. How romantic. Jana huffs - don't encourage her. You can't do this, both agree. There MUST be some other way. In her whiny on-the-verge-of-tears voice, Amber knows all to well what Deacon's capable of. There's nothing she can do (except put on that dress and get married). Help - or get out of the way.
Sharon's pleasantly surprised to get a visit from Nick (who's had lots to think about). And how did Phyllis react to him being her babydaddy? Nick didn't tell her.
Still at the cabin, JT's learned nothing from the neighbours - but thanks to Jack, the police are now aware that Patty's in the area (with a captive and a weapon). Paul balks at the term 'dangerous' - it's his sister after all. JT interrupts the tension - not to worry, Colleen's sharp - she sent them a clue, and she'll send more. Jack isn't so sure - Patty's volatile. Paul doesn't think she'd hurt Colleen - she has no reason. She didn't have reason to hurt Summer, Jack loudly points out - or Ashley. Even JT agrees - she DID come after you with a knife, he reminds Paul (before all three file out).
Patty's happy to hear running water (in the form of a stream). Kitty Kitty's thirsty. Familiar with the area, Colleen points the way (and despite having her hands tied, manages to leave another scrap of fabric in a tree).
As the Murphy's chat with Chance and Chloe, Deacon arrives. That's him? At least he's good looking, Chloe's eyes light up - for a dirtbag, she adds (noting Kay's disapproval). Coming over all charm and smiles, Deacon pretends not to notice the way Kay pulls her hand out of his. Vikki squirms as Deacon asks Murphy if he can call him Murphy, then grows more uncomfortable as Deacon greets her warmly. Please stay. I'd be delighted to 'have you', he purrs. All hope Amber has changed her mind - as Deacon returns with the JOP. Now, where IS the bride? All gape at Amber's grand entrance - as she's dressed in a short black dress, topped off by a veiled hat (and a grim glare for Deacon). She's not exactly the blushing bride.
The persistent Daniel continues to work on Kevin - you're gonna help the guy setting me up for murder!? That's DEACON, Kevin explains - Ryder's just a messed up kid. He's a liar - a con artist, Daniel then accuses Kevin of turning his back on Amber. Kevin thinks that 'priceless' (from the guy who threw her out). You judge EVERYBODY - what do you really think of ME? Kevin challenges. Stop! Jana races over as the boys tackle one another.
Chloe explains to the Murphy's that Deacon's holding something over Daniel's head - and blackmailing Amber into marrying him. Sure, Chance can do something - IF only Amber was willing to file a complaint. It's worth a try, Kay feels. Chance approaches the bride and groom to raise some concerns about Amber's willingness to get married. Deacon knows Daniel's behind the 'rumours' - some guys don't handle rejection well. He'd lose his mind too if he lost Amber. Chance looks into Amber's eyes - you want to do this? Amber does - this is her decision. Let's have is a wedding, Deacon concludes happily.
Stop! What are you doing!? Jana bends over the grappling boys. Get OFF him! The bloodied Kevin stands up - you've gone too far this time! You let Amber - and everybody down! he shouts (as Daniel stomps off). What is the matter with you!? Jana's left to take a turn smacking Kevin about.
In Sharon's room, Nick relays how he got to the airport in time - but looking at Phyllis, he couldn't lay this on her before she left. That would be cruel, Sharon agrees. Nick can't very well tell her over the phone - she's in Switzerland while we're bonding over this baby I always wanted to be mine. Summer needs her mother's attention right now, Sharon again agrees. Nick stresses over giving Phyllis the news. Hearing he hasn't told anyone else, Sharon suggests they keep it a secret.
Now at Jack's, Paul, pencil in his mouth, unfolds a map - while Jack reads out a note from Traci (who's at Brad's waiting for Colleen to come home). You've got to tell her, Paul insists (though hasn't told his mother for the same reasons Jack hasn't told Traci - not wanting to worry her). Jack gets a call. It's Colleen! But no - it's Patty. I'm fine - and happy to hear from you, Jack claims as he holds out the phone for the PI's to hear. Where are you? I want you where you belong, Jack continues. With you? Patty's voice is full of hope - I'll come to YOU - wait for me. Where's Colleen? THAT'S who you're really worried about? Patty's smile fades along with her hope (as Colleen shouts 'Help!' in the background). Patty throws the phone down and crushes it beneath her foot - then seething in anger, points the gun at the terrified Colleen.
Sharon thinks Nick should take some time to go over his options. But keeping this from Phyllis is NOT an option for Nick. Sharon explains how their previous hasty decisions have caused pain for everyone. Don't tell Phyllis - Summer needs you both. And then there's Sharon herself - she doesn't want to cause anyone pain (and is ready to raise the baby on her own). Knowing Nick's the father is enough for her. It's not enough for Nick, however - he wants the baby to know he loves her (and won't deny his daughter). It won't be easy to tell Phyllis - but the three of us WILL find a way to work this out.
Kevin screeches in pain when Jana slams ice (wrapped in a towel) onto his hand. What's wrong with you!? he yelps. Hands planted firmly on her hips, Jana blasts Kevin for not supporting his best friend (and isn't happy when Kevin's only worry is his incarcerated brother). He's turned you against ALL of your best friends. Off to Detroit, Kevin thought Jana'd be happy that the painting's gonna be returned. But, oh no - he seems to have lost the key.
With the pitifully tiny handful of guests watching on, Chloe marches down the aisle to take her place by the JOP and Deacon. Meeting Amber's glare, Deacon nods to cue the pianist (while Chloe shakes her head at Amber - silently willing her to back out). All stand and look depressed as the first few notes of 'Here Comes the Bride' begin. Kay shakes her head furiously at Amber - who gulps and begins her slow n' sad descent down the aisle.
Jack and the Hardy Boys wonder what Colleen was trying to tell them. Saying 'cow' in Wisconsin is like saying 'snow' in Alaska - could it be a landmark? A billboard? Punching keys on the laptop, JT finds various cow statues, bars and restaurants. What about a diary farm? Wait - there's an abandoned dairy farm an hour from the cabin - on route 12! Jack recalls. As the two race out, JT's ordered to update the highway patrol - keep in touch.
Patty and the whimpering Colleen come to a sign marked 'Camp Cheveyo - 'cowabunga' (which is closed for the season). Ah ha! That's why you said 'cowabunga', Patty realizes, giving Colleen a shove. Jack's on his way, Colleen assures - he and all the Abbott kids went to this camp. Leave me here and get away, she pleads. Patty claims Jack didn't hear her - she broke the phone. No one's coming. THAT'S why you pointed me in this direction. Patty would like to go home too - but there's no one she can trust (especially not Colleen). You blew it little girl! Patty points the gun.
Nick knows Sharon's trying to solve all their problems - from her hospital room. My therapist says I have a slight tendency towards over functioning, Sharon jokes. Nick doesn't want her to handle this all alone - this baby has a father who already adores her. He'll be there for her - and Sharon - every step of the way. You hear that Faith Cassidy Newman? Nick's on his knees - a hand on Sharon's belly - I'm your father. Sharon blinks back happy tears.
Back at the jail, Ryder mutters to himself about being such an idiot - he's clearly fed up with Deacon, the girl, the painting.... 'Callahan, visitor', the guard announces. Clip clop, clip clop - the high heels that walk in belong to, you guessed it 'Mom' (who caresses her son's cheek - while her own face remains a mystery).
Mid way through their vows, the glum looking bride's about to say her 'I do' when Daniel appears - don't do it! Unbelievable, Deacon scoffs. Honey, just finish your vows. No - you don't have to do this, Daniel's not going anywhere (though Deacon sends a nearby waiter to summon security). The groom then apologizes to the 'crowd' - he's an ex boyfriend, he explains. Daniel, flanked by the Fisher's, tells Amber that there's something Deacon wants even more than her (which Deacon promptly denies). Oh no? Not even this? Daniel digs the key out of his pocket, dangling it like a carrot. Call this wedding off or you'll never see this key again, Daniel 'swears'.
Next: I want to know how you found me. I want to know if you actually shot somebody or not, Kevin confronts Ryder ... Two highway cops run to the camp's dock - looks like some 'broken branches' - let's check it out! Patty and Colleen are crouched beneath the dock - Patty's hand covering Colleen's mouth ... Sobbing, Vikki's almost incoherent as she babbles - he doesn't matter. I don't care about him. Who?! Who was it? JT looks devastated.
My Thoughts: Deacon's got a few things right. Daniel IS lucky he's not in jail (cause boys out on bail (and suspected of murder) - who get picked up for being drunk and disorderly) might have their bail revoked. Heather must be on vacation ... And Deacon's also right about 'some' guys not taking rejection well. Like HIM for example. Deacon's the one who's gone to elaborate ends to marry 'the one who got away' - and he has the nerve to say Daniel doesn't take rejection well? Pot meet kettle. Hey - you're black ... Nice that Nikki's kids are concerned about her welfare (and whereabouts) - but why haven't Kevin and Mike paused to wonder where THEIR dear ole Mom is? ... Since when do museums offer a reward for stolen art? How much of a reward is Kevin expecting? How is he aware of this reward for the Terroni (a painting that's been missing for eons) - and why is he so sure this masterpiece has been folded and stuffed in the locker all this time anyway? ... Could you turn your back on your own kids? Vikki manages to ask Nick with a straight face. Clearly forgetting that Nick all but abandoned Noah while shaggin' Phyllis in the stables - and when was the last time she saw Reid anyway? Seems Vikki knows plenty about turning her back on her kid ... What possible reason would Vikki have for wanting to sit through the nuptials between Deacon and Amber? She's not exactly a close friend of either the bride or the groom (who she didn't seem interested in joining upstairs for a quickie) Is she hoping Gina's famous lasagna will be served at the reception? Perhaps followed by yummy 'Death by Chocolate'? Why would Deacon hold his wedding in the main public dining room of the GCAC? Why not the more private (and classy) Founder's Room upstairs - where folks won't be parading through the revolving door? But then, I guess Daniel wouldn't be able to barge in - at the precise pause between Amber's 'I' and 'do' ... Patty actually looks happy about the prospect of going back to Jack - to the way things used to be? When Jack cheated on her with everything that moved? Yeah - good times .... Wake up! Incredibly, Patty actually has to work at awakening Colleen (who seems to be sleeping oh so blissfully - more like she's home tucked into her luxurious 1,000 thread count sheets - after taking a few extra strength Nytol's with warm Brandy - than leaning against a lumpy tree trunk all night - her hands tied by a gun toting lunatic). Ho hum *yawn* - just another day in the life I guess. Ow, ow, Colleen grimaces in pain - my foot's gone to sleep, she whines (like a good old case of 'pins n' needles' is her biggest problem). A ha - now I see why Colleen's always handing out scarves as gifts - you never know when you're gonna need to leave a trail of clues. But only the cheap Wal mart clearance bin scarves are handy - not the well made Fenmore's scarves - preferably a scarf with some kind of handy perforations - like tiolet paper - making it easy to rip off a square periodically as you hike along - leaving a trail like Hansel and Grettle did with bread crumbs. With Colleen's scarf starting to look pretty ragged - why not just tie a thread to the tree and let it unravel the whole way? Leaving no margin for error, even the naturally blonde JT would be able to follow it ... How does Patty know Kitty Kitty's thirsty? Maybe the kitten's tired of being toted around in that claustrophobic picnic basket - maybe it just wants to run around - play with a ball of yarn or sumthin' - or return to the sanctuary of the church (and away from said lunatic who ran out of tuna looooong ago) - perhaps Kitty Kitty needs to use the litter box. I wouldn't be too hasty in cracking open the lid on that basket. JT's canvassed the cabin's 'neighbours'? I thought it was a remote location - that's the only reason anyone ever went up there - to be alone. No one ever used the family cabin for family getaways or anything. And where were all these helpful neighbours when Chloe was giving birth? Couldn't she have been taken to these neighbours? Instead of being carted for miles and miles by Cane and Billy - strapped to a sled? ... Note to Sharon - perhaps when locked up in a facility for the mentally unstable, you should refrain from talking to yourself. Shhhh - folks might think you're *ahem* crazy ... Nick thinks Sharon's trying to solve all their problems from her hospital room? If she'd been locked up about 6 months ago, there wouldn't BE any problems ... Sharon's therapist says she has a tendency to 'over function'? That's not the f-word I'd say she's been overdoing. Sharon's been over fornicating and over felating -oh, and fibbing, can't forget fibbing, she's done a lot of that too.
