Today's Spoiler

Tuesday, September 16th

Copyright Toni's Spoiler Site. Not to be republished.

Now daylight, the canoe drifts, upside down. under the water, presumably trying to rectify the situation, Colleen manages to headbutt the boat. Rendered unconscious, she slowly sinks. On shore, Patty checks her watch - 6:20. Growing weak, she slumps beside a tree - did you hear that Kitty? Colleen's gonna get us help - she won't let me die.

At some sort of ranger's station, JT's discouraged - while Paul remains optimistic. With daylight and more coffee, they'll find Colleen. Yeah, she's smart as hell - clever, JT opines - If anyone can get through to Patty, it's her. God bless her for that, Paul answers - the rest of us haven't done so well.

On Victor's doorstep, Jack assumes correctly that he's aware that Patty's taken Colleen hostage. Victor is - and doesn't want Ashley distrubed. Jack agrees - one sister in hell is quite enough. Invited in, Jack hears that Victor's added his resources to the search. Is that a press release? Jack sneers - 'kinda cold' don'tcha think? Colleen's car's been found - and a gun's missing from the cabin. No, it's not good. An innocent girl with an unstable woman (with a gun). How does it feel to be responsible? Victor supports the family - but won't tolerate these accusations. Jack's not done - you brought in an unhinged woman to do your dirty work. Who knew Victor Newman could be so gutless? Victor warns Jack to keep it down - don't awaken your sister.

As the Fisher's go about preparing CL's for the day ahead, they hear about Colleen's kidnapping on the radio. Hold crap! Meanwhile, Abby drops by her Mom's room - but can't share what's bothering her. Why is she so sad? Ashley prods. It's Colleen, Abby admits.

At home, Lily and Lily chat over OJ - hoping that Colleen will call. Cane encourages Lily to get some sleep - he'll let her know if anyone calls. Lily can't sleeo - she's frustrated and helpless. I can't just 'do nothing'.

Traci gives Steve a big hug - no news as yet (though he's optimistic they'll hear good news soon). Oh look - Traci found a book of Colleen's favourite nursery rhymes. Wow - think of all the Abbott hands THAT'S gone through. The jelly stains aren't mine, Billy lightens the mood. And as Traci reads aloud, Colleen floats - releasing bubbles into the murky water. Lily appears beside her - and then the BFF's are on land. Lily talks about her own fight - she's not ready to die. Neither are you. Whatever the odds are, don't give up. So, fight - there's no other way. Realtime, back in the water, Colleen opens her eyes and looks around. And here's Kevin - in the water. Back in oil painting land, Kevin talks of her treating him like a human being - you forgave me. I'm not broken anymore - partly because of you. She turned him from monster to friend. There's nothing you can't make happen.

Back at CL's, the Fisher's discuss this crazy Patty woman - causing them to reflect upon (with deep regret)the horrible things they did to Colleen (who was only trying to protect Lily). Jana can't even think of what she did to BOTH of them - that walk in freezer.... She survived - more - she forgave us, Kevin points out - she'll survive this too. But on the subject of forgiveness, Jana's not sure she can extend that to this MJ/Patty person.

With Abby beside her in bed, Ashley calls Billy - scolding him for not telling her about Colleen. She's my niece too. Billy agrees - she'll be kept in the loop from now on. Ashley will check in later - Colleen will be OK, she concludes.

If I wanted you gone, you'd be gone, Victor growls - we both know that. I'm the guy you can't beat - sticks in your craw, Jack taunts - so you brought in someone I'd never suspect. You knew Patty would blow up - it was part of your plan. But were your wife and Goddaughter part of the plan too? Collateral damage? And look - Jack's still standing.

Now 6:20, Lily's decided to make a scrapbook for Colleen's birthday (in a few months). It's the perfect project to keep her busy during chemo. Now where's that picture? And as Cane tries to help, Lily snaps at him for messing up her 'piles'. They look so happy together, she finds the photo of JT and Colleen. Her first love. As a young girl's voice continues to read the story, JT's now there to talk about how he fell for her - only to have his heart broken. But it's OK - you know that. Make me smile again - come back to me.

As Paul divides the 'quadrants', he notices JT's distracted. Yeah, JT's got it - north. Yeah - he's fine. So was Colleen the last time he saw her. She got a job offer and was looking forward to spending time alone at the cabin - where she collided with Patty. She could have called the police - anyone - but she called ME. It will NOT be the last time he hears from her!

Patty's in obvious pain as she now believes Colleen abandoned them - went to the police. We've gotta get outta here ourselves. Struggling to pick up the basket, Patty collapses (the time on her watch reads 6:22).

Jack continues to blast Victor (who claims he never gave a damn about 'that woman'). If she killed you, it'd be deserved. Careful, that sounds like a confession to Jack. How dare you come into my home and make these accusations? Victor snarls back - you have NO proof. Oh there's proof out there - and it must scare the crap out of you. You slapped a bulls eye on my forehead. Victor doesn't see Jack as a Goliath - or the 'big man' he can't beat - he's the bastard who stole HIS company. The bastard who left him for dead on his office floor - the bastard who forged a journal that framed him for murder. Then, he dragged his son into the mire. Your son Adam? Who you treated so badly he was delighted to throw you under the bus? Victor suggests they compare their sins and crimes - put them out on a table - then we'll see who's left standing.

While Kevin suggests heading to the lake to join the search, Jana doubts they'd want civilians involved. It's 6:23 - too early to go to the Abbott's, right? They'll find a way to help - even if it's from THERE.

JT and Paul talk on the phone to Billy (who's not impressed to hear Victor's 'allocated funds' for professional search teams). Traci's barely hanging in. Steve's here. Billy can't help but blame Paul for Patty escaping the church (instead of being locked up, she grabbed his niece). Billy appreciates all they're doing - but Pail, it never should have come to this ~click~

And now it's Billy's turn to visit 'Tiger' - you and me are connected - despite our faults, our flaws - OK, mostly mine - but they don't matter - we're a team. Come back with me - we'll kick some butt. Say OK Uncle Billy - say it - don't leave me hangin'. Alas, Colleen's still floating, motionless.

Still in bed, Ashley strokes Abby's hair as she lays in her lap. Patty hates us, Abby opines - you, Summer, Zapato - and now Colleen. She's lost and confused, Ashley seems sympathetic - she WAS a kind and gentle person. Maybe Colleen can reach that person. Abby can't help but think of her father dying. Sometimes people DO come back, Ashley reassures. Abby then visits her big sister - talking about how they're the ones to keep Brad's memory alive. I want to go home - with you.

Paul checks his watch with a sigh - 6:24. He understands that Billy's angry with him - he HAD Patty. She wasn't Mary Jane - she was Patty (someone she needs to be again before things get worse). Meanwhile, Patty awakens on the ground - rosary beads wrapped around her hand. Clutching them, she prays - please, God help me - please.

Sins? Jack bows to the master. My niece - YOUR Goddaughter is in peril - one sister's praying for God to undo the mess YOU made - another sister (Jack now points upstairs) destroyed while you sat around and watched her fall apart. Victor reminds that Ashley CHOSE to be with him. YOUR useless brother dragged her out - and she came back. And how's THAT going? Jack spits - is she sane? Happy? Enjoying her pregnancy? Hard to tell who Victor screws over more - the people he hates (or those he claims to love). You hypocritical son of a bitch, Victor seethes.

Now 6:25, Lily's relieved when Cane finds the missing photo of Colleen and JT - oh, how happy they were. It'll definitely go in the scrapbook. Yep - they've been BFF's for a long time. Both 'dragged' to GC, they bonded over their 'disciplinary problems'. Lily regrets being so hard on Colleen when she replaced her as Jabot's Fresh Face (and doesn't have nearly enough photos of them together). Cane assures she'll get the chance to take many more.

As the clock continues to tick down on Colleen's life, Steve leaves Traci (to chat with Billy about how much easier it is now that he's closer to where Colleen is). At least we're together, Billy concedes.

Victor scoffs at Jack vomiting his garbage about how much he loves his family. HE'S the one who manipulated Colleen to take the board seat - watched her sink and didn't do a damn thing (at least 'useless' Billy tried to help). The 'fragile' Ashley? In the depths of her despair, again, Jack did nothing to show support (instead, he cornered and pestered her). Don't come into MY home and talk about family love - family values. Ya got that!? If his wife and daughter weren't upstairs, he'd put Jack 'through the wall'.

In the water, Colleen hears the muffled voices of Victor and Jack blaming one another - then Ashley shouting 'stop it!'. When all three join Colleen on dry land, Victor can see Colleen's no fragile flower - he knows she's not proud of some of the thing's she's done. None of us are, Jack defends - that's not the point. Ashley talks about forgiveness. Thank you my beauty, John will take it from here. It IS about moving on - and letting go. Colleen knows what she needs to do now.

Holding hands across the candle lit table, the Fisher's ask the spirits to protect Colleen - bring her home safely.

It's 6:28 according to the clock on the coffee maker at the ranger's station. Grabbing the map, JT is indeed 'ready to go'.

You're gonna put me through a wall? Jack scoffs - not gonna hire a woman to do your dirty work for you? Jack wants his niece back. Take a look at her - a beautiful young woman with her whole life ahead of her. Jack frowns at the photo. Hmmm. Camp Cheveyo - cowabunga! I know where she is! Jack races out.

Lakeside, Patty's alerted by twigs snapping. Who's there? she aims the gun.

It's 6:26 by the alarm clock on Ashley's night stand. Colleen! Abby awakens with a start. I begged Colleen to come home, but she wouldn't answer me, Abby tells her Mom.

Back at Cane's, he thinks the scrapbook a genius idea. Lily also plans to buy Colleen something 'girlie' that will make her cry. Happy tears. Near tears herself, Lily claims she just got 'this awful feeling'.

Traci gasps. You OK? Steve asks. Something's wrong, Traci explains - as she stares at the grandfather clock (which has suddenly stopped ticking).

The story continues as John walks behind Colleen. Turning, she runs into her Mom's arms. It'll be OK - I love you my baby - we all love you. Always and forever. Colleen turns to see her family - along with Kevin and Lily, smiling at her. And now, in the water, Colleen's joined by Brad - who, taking her hand, also smiles peacefully at her.

Next: Jack's on the phone. Paul, it's Jack. Jack! Patty gasps ... Ashley asks Billy what Victor's motive would be. His answer? To finish the job he started so many years ago - to kill our brother ... Put down the phone, Patty orders as she aims the gun. You wanna shoot me again? Fine - shoot me! Jack challenges .. Hiking along, Paul and JT duck when they hear a gun shot.

My Thoughts: Cranky Lily whines about not having enough pictures - then barks at Cane for messing up her 'piles' (or pictures) ... What on earth makes JT think Colleen's 'smart as hell'? I guess Ashley's family is NOT smart as hell. She has to remind Abby that she's her Mom - and Billy that Colleen is her niece - and Abby's sister. Perhaps the Abbott's need a family tree posted on the fridge ... Nice to see Steve Connelly return (albeit briefly) ... The fallout of Colleen's death should be interesting. Victor will never be forgiven. On the upside, Vikki's competition for JT has been eliminated ... Just like everyone's suddenly in front of a TV when an important press conference is aired - now, everyone seems to be eyeing the clock. Something's wrong, Traci explains. Yes - your grandfather clock needs a new battery ... Too bad the character of Colleen had to die. A logical pick to continue the Abbott/Newman feud, it would have been better to write her off on an extended vacation - allowing the option for her return (even if recast). Good luck TS on your future endeavors... Why wasn't Professor Korbell amongst those sending Colleen off to the great beyond? He DID give her a raving reference that almost got her a teaching job ... Poor Lily - doesn't she already have enough on her plate? Now she has to buy her own scarfs? ... Why is she so hung up on the photo she should have given Colleen years ago? That she'd hang on to 'forever'? Doesn't she think Colleen has any of her own photos? She WAS always sending them to Lily from her 'travels' after all ... Why are there no rangers at the ranger's station? Not even someone left to answer the phone. If Colleen knows the woods 'like the back of her hand', a ranger would be of much help to the map carrying Paul and JT ... Why does Jack come into Victor's home vomiting garbage? Because you keep letting him in, duh ... Odd that Ashley didn't hear the ruckus downstairs - and where's Adam hiding? ... What are the odds of Colleen dying in the very same lake her father did? Nice that he showed up too - but couldn't he have done something more useful than smile? ... Great that the Fisher's want to help - but summoning the spirits? Candles on a bright sunny morning? Wouldn't free coffee for the rangers be more appreciated? .. Jana doesn't think she can forgive Patty? (for kidnapping the woman who forgave THEM - for trying to burn her alive?) The Fisher's should be forgiving anyone who asks.
