Traci can't believe her ears - you want me to give Colleen's heart - to Victor? Yes, Nikki does - though Mike's looking into other options (and she knows it's a lot to ask). Billy's the first to express the obvious objection - that bastard's responsible for Colleen's death. Jack agrees with Billy - Nikki's 'insane' request gets a big fat 'no way in hell'.

Meanwhile, Victor's kids poo poo the idea of saying what's in their hearts (presumably thinking that some things ARE best left unsaid). Though weak and drugged, Victor's determined to hear what his children have to say (cause he may not be around much longer).

At the club, Jill's thrilled - it's been a long time since a handsome, young man arranged a birthday dinner for her. With Philip and Nina also in attendance for the festivities, Chance has one more birthday surprise for Jill - not a what, but a 'who'. Happy Birthday Jill, Kay pops up with gift in hand.

As Sharon moans and groans on the bed, DR Taylor goes to check out why the siren's sounding - but is sent back into his 'expecting' mother (since the bossy Adam's bought them some time).

Ashley's also in a panic as Adam skids back to her room just as the lockdown announcement's made - and Ashley's door automatically locks behind him. But I have to get to a hospital, she wails - but when that's 'not an option', pants that Adam's gonna have to deliver her baby!

As Sharon continues to fret, DR Taylor calmly rolls up his sleeves - use your Lamaze breathing techniques. Not to worry, he's delivered babies in all sorts of settings (when Sharon screeches for a sterile environment).

Ahhhhh - ohhhh - the pain's getting worse! Ashley yelps - as Adam grabs some pills from DR Taylor's bag. He said earlier you could take some, he assures. I'd rather die than let something happen to you or this child. Now take these, he insists.

Back in Victor's room, he acknowledges he's hurt both his children. And while Vikki would rather talk about the lovely letters he left them when he fled to Mexico, Victor notices Nick biting his lip. Encouraged to speak up, Nick recalls how devoted Victor was to Summer (when she was hospitalized) - was that because of guilt? Victor hates what happened - and prayed every day for Summer's recovery - you HAVE to believe that. Nick does.

In tears, Nikki claims she's not there for herself - not even for Victor - but think of the kids. She understands their resistance - so plays the Abby card - and what about the baby Ashley's about to have? Jack and Billy's scathing rejection is interrupted by Traci (who tells Nikki she needs some time). I didn't say 'Yes', she assures her brothers. When Nikki asks about Ashley, Jack reports she's just fine (and doesn't know of Colleen's condition). Nodding, Nikki retreats from the room without further word - leaving the Abbott's/Connelly's to argue. He took bullets meant for our brother! Traci reminds Billy. Colleen's heart will change Victor for the better. Talk to her, Billy appeals to Jack (who looks torn as he stares at his beloved niece).

With Kay now included at the lively dinner party, Nina comments on how nice it is for the three ladies to be yucking it up together. No yelling or crying, Philip chimes in. Nudged by the curious Nina, Jill opens the envelope from Kay and reads 'This would be a gift to me - and Chancellor Industries - the pleasure of your company on a permanent basis'. Sincerely touched, Jill's hand rests over her heart. You want me to come back? Yes - if she can get along with Neil (and break her 'current obligations'). Jill can - and thanks Chance for the best b-day she's had in a long time. But when Kay gets a call (from Nikki) and hurries out, Jill whines that it's predictable - Kay showed her true colours when she dropped everything to run to Nikki's side. And though all try to defend Kay's actions, Jill continues to pout that Nikki's the daughter Kay always wished she had. Nina's blunt - why does Jill act like Kay going to see a friend is all about dissing HER? She came - sang happy Birthday - gave you a gift. Philip agrees about Jill's reaction to a 'silly' phone call. If you want to be a daughter to Kay, start acting like one.

As Billy pressures Traci to deny Nikki's request, Abby arrives to hear of her 'ridiculous' appeal (one he can't believe Jack's even considering). He took three bullets meant for me, Jack points out. From a woman he hired to go after YOU, Billy argues. And as the boys loudly debate, Mac tries to calm Billy down. Jack also worries about how Ashley will react if they had a chance to save Victor, and didn't. Reminded, by Steve, that this is Traci's decision, Jack and Billy give the Connelly's some time alone - and in the hallway, Billy accosts Jack for drinking the Newman Kool Aid - we can't take Colleen's legacy for Victor Newman). As Billy stomps off (with Mac on his heels), Jack's left to look torn.

Back in Victor's room, Nikki reminisces that Victor once wanted to build a dinosaur replica at the ranch. Perhaps he still will - for Reed and Summer. Speaking of grandchildren, Nick shares a secret - Sharon's baby's his after all. Nikki and Victor are thrilled at the prospect of another grandchild.

Nikki's in the lounge updating Mike (by phone) when Kay arrives. Hearing that Traci's their only hope, Kay hugs her BFF who had her so worried. Apologizing, Nikki explains the missing letters - then Victor's prognosis. Hearing how Nikki's fighting on Victor's behalf, Kay has to wonder where Ashley is in all this.

Ashley's got no relief from the pills - nor the breathing Adam's leading her through. And as Ashley announces another contraction, she nods off (which IS a relief to Adam). Soon this whole mess will be over, he sighs.

Nick, I need Nick, Sharon murmurs - then envisions his fuzzy image in DR Taylor's place. Encouraged by Nick's supportive words (that Cassie's dream's about to come true) the drugged Sharon smiles blissfully as she too falls asleep.

Following Billy around, Mac reminds that Colleen's already gone. And that Victor won't be the one punished if he dies. Yeah, yeah, Billy gets it - but Abby and the rest will be better off without him. Not swayed by anything Mac says, Billy vows to do everything he can to stop Colleen's heart from going to Victor.

Seated in the lounge, Nikki assumes it's all been too much for Ashley - Colleen and Victor's lives hanging in the balance. She HAD to come back - for the kids. And Victor, Kay adds. Of course Victor's the reason Nikki called off the wedding - and now, she may have come back just to say 'good bye' all over again.

In the chapel, Jack chats with his dearly departed father. John knows it's Traci's decision, but she values her big brother's opinion. John also knows that Victor's committed serious crimes - BUT he's Ashley's husband (and Abby's father). And Victor risked his life to save yours. Jack admits that donating his son's organs make the loss more bearable - but listing off Victor's crimes, suggests the world's a better place without him. John continues to play devil's advocate - but much to Jack's frustration, doesn't have the 'right' answer for him. Now alone, Jack's deeply troubled. He doesn't know what's 'right'. Perhaps worse, is the guilt - it's his job to protect the Abbott family - and look at us - miserable. I don't have any answers, Jack's distraught - and Traci needs one now.

Speaking in hushed tones as Victor sleeps, Nick doesn't know what's worse - that Victor could die (or that he almost caused Summer to die). Vikki believes Victor's apologized (in his own way). Nick can't forget what happened - but feels awful for holding a grudge. He agrees that Victor needs to feel at peace with his family. As for Sharon's baby, Nick already loves the little girl he's committed to raising (though won't leave Phyllis and Summer). Kay arrives - any word from Traci? Nope. When Victor calls out weakly to his old friend, the kids give them some privacy. And seated at Victor's bedside, Kay won't hear of him dying. Hoping she doesn't need to be his eyes and ears, Kay's learned to believe in miracles.

Nikki finds Jack in the chapel. Knowing the influence he has over Traci, she talks of the baby they lost (who's organs were donated) - the powerful moment when he held that other baby - knowing part of theirs would live on through him. Jack feels that was different - oh yeah, and Victor was the reason they lost that child. Jack could end the vendetta by convincing Traci not to OK the transplant. But Nikki asks him to think of Victor's family - find it in your heart to get past this war. Impossible - Jack can't take Victor out of the equation - it's the determining factor.

Sweating, Sharon tosses and turns in her bed. She's almost here - come on - push, DR Taylor encourages. You're doing great. Though it's the DR's voice she hears, Sharon's relieved to see Nick coaching her on. You're almost there, DR Taylor says. I want Nick, Sharon frets - then relaxes again once she sees his fuzzy image.

In her bed, Ashley awakens to ask where her baby is. Adam spins some yarn about a nurse with a master key coming to take the baby away. She'll be able to see her once the lockdown's over. Odd - Ashley doesn't remember delivering the baby and the room doesn't even look like a baby was delivered there. Adam assures it happened - he cleaned up. Something doesn't feel right - bring her to me right now, Ashley snaps.

Jill joins Kay in Memorial's lounge (and is stunned to hear Victor needs a transplant). Yes - dinner's over. Jill cut it short to come support Kay (who thanks her). Yes, Kay'd like her company 'very much'. Both near tears, the ladies share an emotional look.

Mac cautions Billy not to jump all over Traci if she decides to give Colleen's heart to Victor - he's a human being. Billy's not sure he can hold back - the murderer needs to rot in hell.

Nikki rejoins Victor (who's hands keep falling asleep). As Nikki takes his hands, Victor whispers of how much he wanted to say to her the night she left. There will be plenty of time, Nikki hushes him (but looks worried when Victor's hands are now cold).

Traci continues to mope at Colleen's bedside - thankful for Steve's support. If only she knew the right thing to do. I know, Jack pops in to say - do it. Give Colleen's heart to Victor.

Aghhhh, Sharon pushes. I can see her, imaginary Nick says from between her thighs - baby Faith will be in her Daddy's arms with one more push. She's here! Slumping back onto her pillow, Sharon's overjoyed - my baby's here, she smiles at the sound of her newborn's wailing.

Something's wrong, Ashley's convinced - you're lying to me - something happened to my baby. When it's announced that the lockdown's over, Adam stops Ashley from getting out of bed. You're too weak - let me do it. In the hallway, DR Taylor's cradles Sharon's baby as he looks for an orderly. Sharon's not doing well - she's lost a lot of blood. What the hell are you doing!? Hey!? Taking the baby - THAT'S what Adam's doing. DR Taylor then watches - aghast - as a beaming Ashley cradles the baby Adam hands her.

Next: I'm so grateful to have known you, Victor tells Nikki - I've felt no greater love than I've felt for you. Unfortunately, Ashley (now in a hospital robe) peeking her head in the door listening ... Where's my baby? Sharon (now also at the hospital) demands of the nurse. I want to see my baby NOW, she snarls from her bed ... Back at the psych hospital, Adam shoves DR Taylor up against the wall - I didn't steal anybody's baby - that's Ashley's daughter!

My Thoughts: Nice that Kay accepts that Nikki 'sent letters' - without asking the obvious (why she didn't pick up the phone) - or whether any of the letters were addressed to her (which none were) ... Nowhere during Jack's rant about the evil deeds Victor's done, does he acknowledge his own crimes and sins (such as forging the journal, using Colleen) ... Once dead, why on earth would Victor need Kay to be his 'eyes and ears'. If he needs a mortal spy, why not pick someone young - with better eyesight and hearing? ... Why was Murphy not at Jill's birthday dinner? Or Chloe? ... While the baby switch premise is as old as the hills, this one's a tad different - as Ashley doesn't even have a baby to trade. The incredibility continues - the 'first rate' facility has TWO women in labour and not a single medic, orderly or staff member in sight - not even a candy striper! Instead, one woman's with a DR with no equipment, or credentials. And she's the lucky one. The other's with a blind ex con who's likely never even held an infant. Oh well - at least Adam's got the DR's bag of goodies - including scissors (and some pills he doles out to Ashley - never mind that he likely can't read what they are). Ashley doesn't even seem concerned - DR Taylor told him earlier the pills were OK? he only carries one type of pill? Adam couldn't be feeding Ashley something dangerous? Go ahead Ashley - try to breast feed (or are we expected to believe she'll produce hysterical milk?) ... Surely patients in a psych hospital don't have scissors in their room. I guess DR Taylor gnawed through the umbilical chord? And where does DR Taylor get the supply of towels? Surely there wouldn't be a stack of em in the patients room - so they could tie them together to make a rope - to either escape out the window - or maybe, if suicidal, hang themselves? ... Now that the escaped patient's been captured, won't she be babbling about the guy who opened the door for her? Won't anyone question Adam? Is there no camera surveillance at the hospital? ... Since Ashley herself pointed out that she's experienced in birthin' babies - having 'been through this before' - isn't she wondering why she's not bleeding? Why there's more blood on the fender of a car that hit no one - than on Adam's shirt? Or the same gown she's been in all along? And at the very least, Ashley should wonder why she's feeling absolutely no discomfort 'down there' - or having experienced a hysterical delivery will she now feel hysterical after-pain? If the door was locked, where did Adam put the stuff he 'cleaned up'? ... Why is Sharon laying flat on her back? And hallucinating about Nick? Was she drugged too? .... Wouldn't it be anti climatic if Colleen's heart wasn't even a match for Victor's? And with all this talk about the Newman family - and THEIR grief, how about the Abbott's now go meet the family of #1 on the organ donor list - the poor sap who'd otherwise receive a brand new heart. Explain to HIS family why he's not as important as TGVN ... Why is Chance throwing a party for Jill? Having missed the last 20 years with his mother, you'd think Philip might take the initiative - go to the trouble of reserving a table at the club ... Vikki's right. Victor did apologize 'in his own way' - but maybe Nick wants to hear a good old fashioned 'I'm sorry. It's my fault' apology. Not Victor's mumbled mumbo jumbo about wishing it didn't happen - and that he prayed. He PRAYED? How about going to confession first? Phyllis won't be too happy - with or without a dinosaur built on the ranch's lawn. And she sure as hell won't be happy at being the last Newman to learn there's to be a new Newman.
