At CL's, the playful Chloe leaves Chance to ask Mac about Colleen (or rather Billy). It's been a rough 24 hours for the Abbott family, Mac understates.

At the Abbott mansion, Billy's making calls regarding Colleen's funeral, while Noah updates Jack (that Victor's still in surgery). His calls done, Billy exits (leaving Noah to take a call from Sharon). Jack listens, surprised to hear she's out of the hospital (and back at the club). Something's wrong with Mom, a worried Noah hangs up to inform Jack.

The Newman's wait impatiently for an update on Victor (whom JT goes to check on). Neil approaches Nikki for news - and where's Ashley? he wonders. Meanwhile, in her room, Ashley's cradling Faith as she sends the nurse for an update on Victor. He HAS to make it, she coos to her 'baby girl'.

Back at CL's, Chloe talks to Chance about Colleen (they weren't close - but she's sure Billy's a mess). When he arrives on cue, Chloe approaches - and delivers an awkward hug. You OK? And when Chloe expresses disbelief that Victor's getting Colleen's heart, Billy couldn't agree more - it turns his stomach (though he wants it to work so CC's not completely 'gone'). Billy thanks Chloe for 'getting it' - but declining joining her for coffee, gives her a quick kiss and greets Mac on the patio. Chloe watches sadly as they embrace.

Checking with Reid's babysitter, Vikki tells Nick that he's been 'fussy' - at least HIS baby's not born yet. Something wrong? Near tears, Nick updates that Sharon lost the baby. Vikki's so sorry ~hug~

In the lounge, Nikki ends a call with Michael, then chats to Phyllis about Summer being in the hospital - oh, how she prayed. Phyllis is praying for Victor too - despite what he did. Nikki thanks her - it can't be easy. No - but Phyllis is doing it for Nick (who's suffered so much loss recently). Nikki's sorry Phyllis had to learn that Nick fathered Sharon's baby - it must have been hard to hear. For Nick's sake, Phyllis would do anything to bring that baby back - even just to say good bye.

Sharon puts the ultrasound photo away and swipes away tears when Noah arrives at her suite. Oh look - and here's Jack. Wait a minute - he notices she's no longer pregnant. Sharon explains that the baby died without taking a breath. Giving his Mom a hug, Noah acknowledges Jack - it was your baby too. After Noah leaves to check on Victor, Jack questions why Noah wasn't told that he's not the father. Sharon doesn't want Noah to hate her - after losing Cassie, and the baby, he's all she has left *sniff*

Noah could NEVER hate you, Jack assures. Reminding that he filed for emancipation, Sharon's not so sure Noah'd take her lies well. Now seated, Sharon confirms that Nick knew he was the father - and is also devastated that they didn't get to hold the baby. And now Sharon can only picture holding her baby Faith. Faith? Jack blurts out that Ashley named HER baby Faith.

Visiting Ashley, Neil's introduced to Faith. Joking, the 'dear friend's' not so sure her Daddy would agree (now that he works for the competition). When Neil's reminded of Lily as a baby, Ashley sympathizes with what she's going through lately. Neil's proud of Lily (who's taught him about grace through rough times). Abby will be absolutely fine, Neil's sure (as she has both her and Victor to console her).

Still in supportive wife mode, Phyllis talks to Nikki about Nick barely having time to digest fathering the baby - before having to grieve it - and clearly doesn't approve of Sharon keeping it from him. You're not angry at Nick for not telling you? Nikki raises an eyebrow (then is happy to hear she and Nick are in a 'good place'). Nikki dashes over to JT (who has no info). Nick decides to go see his new baby sister. Assuring Phyllis he is indeed 'up to that', he'd like to know at least one thing went right last night.

Back at CL's, Chance's talk about their next date is ignored - as Chloe gripes about Billy (first he says she 'gets him' - then forgets her when 'Florence Nightingale' comes in). Chance finds it unbelievable. No, not Billy - but that Chloe's so bent out of shape about a guy who's not her husband anymore. Chloe then sheepishly admits 'that's not exactly true'.

On the patio, Billy isn't impressed to get a text about some Jabot stock being stuck en route. He's just a glorified shipping clerk who carries no weight in the family (especially when it came to Colleen leaving this world). It's a hard time for everyone, Mac consoles.

Back in Sharon's suite, Jack wants to make it all better. But Sharon goes back to reminding that she's not his problem. Traci needs him. Yeah, Jack thinks it a good idea that Sharon talk to her. And who's taking care of Jack? How can he be 'fine'? With his niece's heart going to his worst enemy, Sharon's skeptical. Jack WILL be OK with it - a part of Colleen will live on. Oops - Jack realizes he said the wrong thing. But in tears, Sharon knows he's right - life DOES move on. It's something she'll need to remember - especially now.

No - of course it's not a bad time (for Nick to meet his new baby sister). Come on is, Ashley invites. She's beautiful, Nick stares intently at the baby, his face full of emotion; grief, longing.

Chance doesn't get it - Chloe and Billy live apart - see other people - but technically, she's still his wife? Yeah, Chloe admits with a giggle. There was a glitch - red tape, she explains to the curious Chance. So what if it doesn't bother Mac and Billy, does it bother YOU? Chance persists. Isn't she tired of the crap? Yeah, yeah - Chloe will deal with it. When? Tomorrow. Now, where are they going tomorrow on their next date? A surprise? Is Chance taking her to NY on the company jet? Uh no - it's better, Chance claims. The Harvest Festival, right here in GC. The look on Chloe's face disagrees.

Meanwhile, on the patio, Billy expects Mac to tell him how good he has it - at home and Jabot. Having given up the corporate ladder to run a dive bar and serve soup at a homeless shelter, Mac's the last person to tell him to stay in the family business. He needs to be happy and fulfilled ~kiss~ Billy feels that right here, right now, with Mac. I love you.

Impatient and anxious , Vikki stands - I can't stand this! No sense in JT going to check for an update. Nothing's changed, she sure. As Vikki apologizes for snapping at JT, Phyllis comes along - any word? He's still alive, Vikki snarls, arms folded. Phyllis now apologizes - Vikki was right. It's not the right time or place for her issues regarding Summer. Phyllis IS praying for Victor. When neither Hellstrum respond, Phyllis hurries off to check with the sitter. JT remarks 'that's a first' - Phyllis apologizing. Vikki understands why Phyllis is upset - Victor betrayed her. JT now brings up what they haven't had time to discuss. He understands why she'd be mad over the picture of him and Colleen (but not why she didn't talk to him about it - before doing 'what she did'). He'd NEVER do that to her. Vikki's sorry, OK? But can't this please wait until after they know Victor will survive? Fine, we'll deal with this later, JT sulks off, unimpressed.

Is it strange that Nick feels 'at peace' looking at Ashley's baby? Oh no, Traci felt the same way. A new life (amidst all the sadness) is what we all needed. Nick has no news on Victor - and understands why Ashley would be mad at him (as he is too because of Summer). But he won't keep Victor from her - there's nothing worse than to be kept from your child. I'd never do that, Ashley's quick to insist - Victor's still her father.

Nikki calls Neil back into the chapel (a place both have spent much time in over the years). Despite Lily's cancer, the Winter's family is healing - and the same will happen for Victor, Neil's sure. As they talk about God's plan, Nikki falls apart. She's never seen TGVN like this - it's as if his guilt has taken away his will to live. 'Scared to death' (because TGVN is human after all) Nikki weeps in Neil's arms.

Noah rejoins Sharon and Jack in the suite to report Victor's still in surgery. After Jack exits, Sharon assures Noah that she WILL be OK. How lucky she is to have Noah (who promises to take care of her). But oh no, Sharon won't have him sacrificing his life for her. Noah loves his Mom (and is sorry if he ever made her think otherwise). He'll always be there for her ~hug~

Nick can't believe Noah was ever this small, and placing his finger in the sleeping baby's fist, talks about how strong his grip was. But this baby has an even stronger grip (don't tell Noah that). You wanna hold her? Ashley invites.

Jack's surprised to find Phyllis at Memorial (where flew back to because she had a feeling Nick needed her). Exchanging the usual chit chat about poor Colleen and poor Traci, Phyllis wonders why Jack's in this depressing place. Ashley? She's on a different floor, Phyllis points out. OK - Jack's really there to see if Colleen's heart is still beating. Reporting that Victor's still in surgery, a teary eyed Phyllis offers the weepy Jack a hug. It's so unfair, he cries.

Still nursing coffees on the CL's patio, Chance couldn't be more excited as he babbles about bobbing for apples - and the pancake eating contest etc. Looking bored, Chloe shuts him up to clarify that she only attends festivals like Cannes - and now way she's gonna risk mucking up her shoes with manure. She's not at all impressed to hear the 'dirty little beasts' are 'prize winning' pigs. Chance is tired of doing everything Chloe wants to do - it's his turn. Give it a chance. She might even enjoy hanging out with Murphy and his 'funny hat' wearing cronies. OK - but Chloe adamantly refuses to wear gingham. Meanwhile, on the patio - Billy's decided to give Jack his resignation. And then he and Mac can discuss their future ~kiss~

Seated in Memorial's lounge, Jack mopes about his plan to groom Colleen take over the world; Victor's world. Phyllis won't let him blame himself. She knows the baby didn't make it - and that Nick was the father. Why didn't Jack tell her? Jack promised Sharon he wouldn't - it made sense to HER. But not to Phyllis - why would Sharon gave up the chance to be with the love of her life? Jack explains how Sharon sent Nick back for Summer - and YOU.

Fresh from the shower, Sharon finds that Noah's had room service deliver all her favourites. See? He's gonna take good care of her. Sharon isn't sure she deserves such treatment. You better sit - there's things Noah doesn't know about. Hopefully he'll forgive her. Faith wasn't Jack's - she was Nick's.

You're gonna melt your Daddy's heart, Nick comments as he cradles Ashley's baby. Her name? Faith. Nick couldn't look any more stunned.

The doctor finally comes out to deliver the Newman's, and Neil, good news. Victor's in recovery. They'll still have to wait and see if his body accepts the new heart. There he is, Nikki squeals. Daddy! Vikki rushes over to the gurney - you're my hero! We're all here for you. Aside, Jack looks towards the heavens with tears in his eyes. Way to go kid.

Next: Amber was just trying on her wedding gift, Deacon says smugly to Daniel (who's not sure what to believe) - while Amber looks busted ... There's nothing tying me to Nick anymore - so the odds just got better for you, Sharon tells Phyllis ... Chloe tells Chance that she likes hanging out with him - feeling she can be herself. That's good, Chance is pleased.

My Thoughts: Heaven forbid anyone forget that St Mac serves soup to the homeless (fat chance when she keeps reminding us) .. Billy really has the nerve to whine about not having much weight at Jabot? Maybe he'd have more say if he ever WENT to Jabot ... Isn't there someone below Billy who can take care of the wayward shipment of Jabot's retro line? No? No one's been replacing Billy while he's been stomping his feet and holding his breath over Colleen? .... You're my hero, Vikki gushes at Victor - you always will be? Yeah, we'll see about that the next time Victor reminds Vikki that she's inferior because she's .. well, a 'she' ... Funny that Nick refers to what he thinks to be Ashley's kid as his sister - while Adam was always a HALF brother ... Given that eavesdropping has resulted in Sharon's secrets going public before, you'd think she'd make sure Noah was out of earshot - before she and Jack discussed whether she should tell him that Nick was the baby's father ... Oh look everyone - it's Noah! Finally back from his soccer match - but why would he hang around the hospital with the rest of the beneficiaries, I mean, family - when he can hang around his Mom's suite and eat room service? ... How convenient that Sharon's suite was still vacant - or has someone been paying the bill all along? ... Neil never bothers to visit his cancer ridden daughter anymore - but his first stop back in town is to see Victor? Didn't Neil get the memo? He can stop kissing the great man's ass. Victor's no longer your boss Kneel - now you've gotta go kiss Katherine's butt (I'm not sure which is more unappealing) ... Chloe and Chance couldn't be any more nauseating as they race one another to their table at CL's. Not too fast mind you - on account of them both holding hot mugs of coffee. Last one to the table has to pay the tab? Oh nooo. For BOTH coffee's? ... Something's wrong with Mom, Noah says all grave faced. Yeah? Like she's too rude to say 'good bye' before abruptly hanging up? ... It's been too long - what's going ON in there? Vikki whines - like she has any idea how long the average heart transplant usually takes. Is heart surgery really something you wanna hurry? Your waitress at the club, maybe your manicurist - but not your surgeon. Besides - what does Vikki have to look forward to anyway? (other than a much delayed discussion with your husband on why you're sleeping around with strange med). With JT demanding answers, you'd think Vikki would be content to use Victor's dire condition as a stalling tactic indefinitely. Of course Reid's fussy - he's all but been orphaned. Why not bring him over to the hospital for bit? Then Vikki can kiss her son herself - must the Newman's have someone do everything for them? Cook my dinner for me - kiss my son for me - saddle my horse for me *sigh* ... Chloe absolutely refuses to wear gingham - yet is wearing some sort of Christmas plaid (a gingham for the holidays, if you will) ...
