Four continues to be a crowd at the cabin - with Billy 'going overboard' when praising Mac's potato salad (while Chloe's clearly digging at Billy when loudly thanking Chance for taking time off from fighting crime to get her favourite take out). Can't we just go? It's HER family cabin too, Mac reminds Billy (as he's not divorced yet). Chance has had enough - let's go. But Chloe has another idea - whichever couple wins at Scrabble gets to stay.

Mike visits Victor - whom he notes looks a lot better. Victor's sure once they get his meds sorted out, he'll be back in his office (though he's sure Nick and Vikki are doing a great job). About that - Mike hands over the contract Adam negotiated, as he relays the argument between Vikki and Adam (who doesn't see the problem). I'll be damned - we'll see about that, Victor frowns.

At the ranch, Adam flashes back to a visit with Victor (who assured that he already IS a good son). As he calls to summon the car around - to go to the hospital, Vikki and Nick barge in to challenge their half sibling - your ride on our father's good graces ends - right now.

In Deacon's suite, Amber fastens the diamond necklace around her neck - while Deacon knocks on the locked door. Let in, Deacon's pleased to see her wearing it. There'll be a lot more where that came from - and he doesn't need Daniel to get the Terroni. In fact, Daniel won't have a damn thing to say about it - when Deacon sells the Terroni - tonight.

At CL's, Daniel won't let Deacon get Amber AND the painting. Kevin doesn't understand why Amber's with Deacon - she hated the guy. But Daniel's convinced Amber's not 'playing' Deacon. HE'S the one she played. Her refusal to take off the diamond necklace proves that. At least he found out before doing anything stupid - like marry Amber. All Daniel cares about now is getting the Terroni back to the museum, where it belongs. Deacon can have Amber. Kevin's glad they're now in agreement on the painting - which he happens to have right here. But oh no - it's gone! Both boys stare at the back of the cheap painting Kevin hid the Terroni behind.

Gloria's seated at the club - toying with the cardboard cylinder on the table. What's Jeff doing there? He could ask her the same thing - and what's in the tube? A toy for Fen, Glo lies. Waiting for Deacon Sharp? Jeff wonders - still working her get-rich project? Yes - and Jeff better get outta there (as she spots Deacon's arrival). Sorry Buttercup - but Jeff's not budging until she explains what's going on.

If Jeff doesn't want to be a crossing guard for the rest of his life, he better just trust Gloria - and yes, the 'tube' IS their ticket to the big time. Jeff's not impressed to hear of the museum's 25K reward. Still sore about Victor and Jack's booby trapped 3 million, Glo will tell him more later. After Jeff leaves, Glo assures Deacon that he's just an ex - who knows nothing. And as she hands the tube over, Amber watches - then runs out.

The Newman sibling rivalry continues - as Nick and Vikki scold Adam for making his 'move'. Adam's insulted - he saved the deal AND their butts. Nick assumes he's just trying to earn Victor's trust. But no - Adam doesn't want to work at NE - and doesn't to earn 'our' father's trust. As he heads upstairs, Nick and Vikki can't believe 'this guy' - but Dad might. As Vikki has an appointment, Nick will go talk to Victor.

The bickering continues as the Scrabble match continues. Chloe's first word? 'leave'. 16 points, Chance is keeping score - double (as it's first word of the game). And one Chloe thinks Billy and Mac should take to heart.

On the patio - with the painting missing - Kevin and Daniel start to doubt and suspect one another - UNTIL Amber comes in to announce that Gloria's giving the Terroni to Deacon.

As Chloe suggests Billy and Mac continue their date at their trailer love shack, Billy's confident Mac's got a word to blow their opponents out of the water. How about this? 'Divorce'. 26 points - mark THAT down Dudley Do Right, Billy gives Mac a triumphant high five.

Deacon unrolls the Terroni - Amber and he will live like kings. Remember our deal, Glo reminds - wanting her fair share. The buyer needs the goods - so Deacon MUST take the painting. Taking the painting back, Glo suspects he and 'Blondie' will flee the country - leaving HER to push a broom at a nail salon. If Deacon can't guarantee Glo her share, the painting goes back to the museum - and Amber goes back to Daniel.

On the patio, Amber assures the boys that Deacon and Glo do indeed have the Terroni. After Kevin runs out to put a stop to it, Amber tries to convince Daniel that she didn't choose Deacon - she was just trying to keep an eye on Deacon (whom she's NOT sleeping with). You're the only one I want to be with - oh, what CAN Amber do to make Daniel believe it?

Victor's read the contract - Adam did this without consulting anyone? Mike suggests Victor instruct Adam to go through the proper channels. Perfect timing, Mike snaps sarcastically (as he passes Adam at the door). Yes - that was Mike - and Victor knows all about the contract. He also understands why Vikki would question his motives. Adam explains how he intercepted the call that came in - then shares his desire to earn back Victor's trust. Please tell me you're not buying any of this, Nick's slipped in to hear Adam's spiel.

Still hanging onto the 'tube' tightly, Glo ponders calling the museum. Fine - Deacon will let her hang onto it until he arranges a meeting with the buyer - but suspecting she might be trying to pass on a fake, he's got an art expert in his suite to authenticate it. Handing it over, Gloria would be delighted to attend the meeting. And as Glo stops off at the bar to hiss at Jeffrey (who's supposed to be at the penthouse), Kevin comes along - hand it over NOW.

Amber swears on her life that Daniel's the only man for her. Go pack your things, Daniel orders - and if she's there when he gets back, he'll believe her. Where's he going? To get the Terroni from Deacon - and NO - he doesn't need Amber's help. If she wants a life with Daniel, she's to stay out of it. Understand? Understand? I'll be here, Amber agrees - I love you. I love you too, Daniel admits from the door as he heads out.

Nick wonders if Adam's 'save the day' story included that he never bothered to try calling him or Vikki. There wasn't enough time - Adam had to make the deal then and there. Nick and Vikki have been consumed with personal matters; Dad being shot - Nick losing a baby. How the hell did Adam know that?! He's not deaf - he thought Nick's plate was full. If he overstepped, he's sorry. It'll never happen again. And when Victor decides to authorize Adam's activities, Nick can't believe his Dad's serious. Victor is - Adam deserves a chance to prove himself.

Still at the bar, Glo tells Kevin that she doesn't have the painting he's demanding. Taking Kevin aside, she assures he'll get his share of the millions coming her way. Let me handle it - you won't be sorry. I already am, Kevin mutters as Glo walks off. Did I hear 'millions'? Jeff's all ears. Stay out of this, Kevin snarls. At the front door, Daniel tells Kevin that HE'LL handle Deacon. Kevin's to call Mike - and the cops - meet up at CL's (and then Deacon's suite). What's going on? a puzzled Kevin does as he's told (while Daniel skips upstairs).

As Vikki assures Deacon that the art expert she's brought over is 'trustworthy', Glo comes knocking - did I miss anything? Finished checking the Terroni, Mr Sullivan announces that it's the real thing. After Deacon puts the painting back in the tube (it's the least he can do), Glo leaves with it - she'll wait for his call. After Mr Sullivan leaves, Vikki scolds Deacon for selling a stolen painting. Sure, she can call the police now - or wait a few hours - and get the painting AND one of the biggest dealers in stolen art. Daniel marches in - not believing Deacon let Gloria leave with the painting. Daniel then gives Vikki a piece of his mind (for 'getting into bed' with this louse). And when Daniel asks Vikki what she was promised, she slaps his face and marches out. Ouch, Deacon smiles smugly.

Billy's got a word - no big points - but it IS the real reason why 'Mr Big Hands' came up here. S-E-X - must be real hard trying to have sex in that big mansion without being caught by either of your mothers, he teases. Chance's turn - V-I-R-G-I-N. is there a problem with that word? Billy stops cackling to say it NOT a word - in this cabin anyway. You're a virgin? Billy's stunned (as a mortified Chloe covers his face).

Another chance to do what? Nick blusters - put you in prison? Bring NE down? Victor's not reinstating Adam without stipulations. He'll be in a lower level - reporting to Nick and Vikki. One misstep and he's out. Adam appreciated the opportunity - this wasn't his intention when brokering the deal. Victor's giving Adam a chance to redeem himself - watch your step. IF Adam takes it, he'll prove to one and all that he's trustworthy - it'll be different this time. After Adam's asked to leave, Nick tries (and fails) one more time to keep 'this fraud' out of the company. Vikki arrives - equally unimpressed to confirm what Adam told her in the hallway. Victor wants them both to believe it.

All packed up in Deacon's suite, Amber calls Daniel to leave a message - she's on her way to meet him (and will prove that he's all she ever wanted). But opening the door, she's face to face with Deacon (who now - based on Daniel's timely interruption - suspects she's still in touch with him).

Why didn't Chance and Chloe say anything? Billy now feels bad. He and Mac could have taken off for 15 minutes - so they could 'knock it out'. You're sick, Chloe objects. You came up here to be his first? Billy teases - after Chloe going on about how close they were. You don't know how we connect, Chloe claims. No - Billy certainly doesn't - but Chance sure picked a good teacher. That's enough! Chance barks.

Now at the club, Gloria enjoys a glass of champagne - to take the edge off her stressful day. Jeff comes along to wonder if her cut is of 25K or a million? Don't try to outsmart me, he warns. Oh, Loverman, Glo giggles - it was a surprise. Jeff removes the painting - of a clown. 'You Lose' painted across it.

Bag in hand, Amber claims that Daniel's through with her. But Deacon suspects she shared his plan to get back in Daniel's good graces. Amber suggests he go to the bar - she'll settle up at the front desk. Where was she earlier? In the shower. Not buyin' it, Deacon won't let her out of his sight until they leave town.

Summoned over to CL's, Mike tells Kevin that he's impressed that Daniel finally realizes how a good client behaves. Also arriving, Daniel's not impressed that Amber's not there yet - maybe he just got played again.

Let's just go, Chloe packs up. Billy continues to tease Chance - we all have a first time - but usually before we hit middle age. Stop, Mac scolds. How's sleeping around work for you? Chance challenges Billy - he's going for something real - and not ashamed to admit it. He actually likes Chloe for HER - how she treats her daughter - even her weird acceptance of her baby's father. She deserves more respect than Billy can muster. Kissing Chloe on the head, Chance proclaims Billy the big winner tonight. Now alone, Billy realizes that was the second time Chance stuck up for Chloe tonight. And what's Mac so upset about? We won.

Vikki approaches Victor's bed to comment on Adam being rewarded for having no family loyalty. She's sorry - and doesn't mean to upset Victor. He's not the one upset - and not giving Adam the keys to the kingdom. He was very helpful during Ashley's pregnancy. But to allow him back into the company he tried to ruin? Vikki objects. And as Adam peers through the window, Victor weakly explains that he just wanted to give Adam a second chance. And to the horror of all, Victor then grabs his heart. He's gone into V-Fib! the doctor shouts as she barks out orders. Using the paddles to try jump start Victor's heart, she turns to the stunned kids - I'm so sorry. What!? No! Dad, Vikki shakes him, as Nick tells Adam to get out. He's my Dad too, Adam reminds. Now that Dad's gone - you're nothing to this family. I don't want to see you anymore. Looking through the window, Adam thinks aloud - you better get used to me Nick. I'm not going anywhere. But wait - it's all a dream. Adam's dream - as he watches Nick and Vikki hovering over Daddy.

Next: A man comes into CL's flashing a badge (and looking for Daniel Romalotti). I told Kevin to call the cops, Daniel explains to Mike ... Deacon's back's towards Amber - stressed, he claims he's been working for someone who's holding the sword of damocles above his head ... Vikki's on the phone in the background as Adam questions Nick - what have you decided to give me besides the shaft? Janitor? Mail room?

My Thoughts: Jeff's a crossing guard? Doesn't any job involving being around children require a criminal check? ... Yes - thank heavens Daniel's never done anything 'stupid' - and why is he surprised that Kevin doesn't fully trust him? He DID beat Kevin up and steal his key to the safe deposit box. Daniel instructs Kevin to summon the police over to CL's and them Deacon's suite? But what's Kevin supposed to tell them? And why would the police race over to wherever the Chipmunk sends em? ... Victor thinks Nick and Vikki are doing a great job at NE in his absense? They're rarely there Note that Amber's outfit is smaller than her massive purse - and regardless of Daniel being basically right, why is he ordering Amber around like that? ... In the outfit he wore to the Harvest Festival, one has to wonder if Nick bothered to change his shoes - or is he tracking barnyard manure throughout the ranch - and then the hospital ... If staying with Deacon - in a room with one bed - how is Amber NOT sleeping with him? Whatever happened to her staying with the Baldwin's? ... If Daniel saw Gloria leaving Deacon's suite, why is he asking him for the Terroni? Did he not notice the large 'tube' Gloria's clutching? .... Why isn't it assumed that Mr Sullivan, the art expert, might tell the police that he's just authenticated a 50 million dollar masterpiece that's been missing for years? And why isn't Vikki more interested in getting it back to the museum ... Deacon first approached Vikki claiming to be a collector of art - so why does he need HER to recommend someone to authenticate it? Hasn't he had his collection checked? .... It's funnny how Daniel 'knew what time to stop by'? Hasn't Deacon noticed that uncanny timing always occurs in GC? ... Why does Amber offer to settle up with the front desk - is she paying for Deacon's suite? Or is Deacon stupid enough to give her his credit card? ... Mike's pleased that Daniel's behaving like a responsible client? If one were responsible, they wouldn't need Baldwin's services to begin with ... Chance lectures Billy for sleeping around (but has no similar commentary for Chloe?) Why does Chloe deserve more respect than his Uncle Billy? And LOL @ Billy's facial expressions as he mulls it over - and why does Chance assume that Billy slept with Chloe because he was 'tired' of his one night stands? Wasn't Chloe, herself, a one night stand (or rather, would have been, if SHE didn't stalk him - and push it into a relationship) .. How does Billy figure they won the Scrabble game? There was only 4 words on the board - and what makes Mac such a 'wordsmith'? She's not highly educated .... We all appreciate that Adam was so wonderful to Ashley, Vikki manages to say with a straight face (like she gives a rats ass about Ashley or her baby) ... I don't quite see what job Adam can perform at NE - Janitor? How will he know if he's missed a spot? The mailroom? Is NE's incoming mail addressed in Braille?
