In Victor's room, Jack's about to call the police. But wait - Dr Emily Peterson is NOT Patty (and has ID to prove it). When Jack finally picks his jaw up off the floor, he glares at Victor. My God - you gave Patty her own doctor's face!?

At home, Ashley hangs up the phone - and is pleased to tell Billy that he can pick up the check on his way to RS. Billy's touched 0 it's been so long since anyone in the family's had faith in him. Ashley's sure that Jack will be impressed by Billy's success. She's in it for the shoe samples he'll get. Size eight, she reminds. And with a hearty hug, he's off. Adam then comes down to boast about how good he is at putting Faith to sleep (with stories of farm life). Ashley's so happy that her baby will grow up having this bond with him. Adam's amused at their living arrangement - mentioning that he's a brother old enough to be Faith's father. Oh what a weird but happy family.

In the church, Sharon talks to Faith - it's gonna be longer than she thought before they meet. But one day, she'll hold Faith in her arms. Now don't you worry about your Mom Cassie. Sharon WILL get through this. She's got a new home and is meeting with a bereavement group.

At CL's, Chance has ordered a big box of goodies for Chloe (and he also has a card). But his smile soon turns upside down - as he's not impressed to hear of Billy's plan to buy RS (and more importantly, that the info came from Mac, not Chloe).

At RS, Phyllis and Chloe work on an article - celebrity pets we love. Nothin' wrong with fluff. Nick arrives ~kiss~ No word from Billy? Perhaps he changed his mind? Phyllis is having second thoughts - what does Nick think? He recalls when the foursome started the rag - but they've all moved on, graduated. Except Phyllis - and now Billy's ready to hand her a diploma - or is he? Bottom line - Nick now approves of them closing this chapter of their lives.

Coaching Ashley on who'll stand where for the Christening, the Reverend's sorry to hear Faith's father won't be there - in the hospital? Such a shame that he'll miss this joyous occasion. Surprised to see Sharon, Ashley excuses herself to approach her (and hear that Sharon's bereavement group meets just down the hall). You're planning the Christening? Sharon sadly assumes.

What the hell are you talking about? Victor barks (having no idea who 'this woman' is). Are you kidding? Jack snarls back - you CREATED this woman. It's not like Victor would let someone ELSE pick who Patty looked like. Victor doesn't give a rats ass what Jack believes. And YOU'LL end up in a cell next to Patty's, he growls at Emily (who maintains that she wasn't involved). You are now, sweetheart, Jack says - then lists the people his plan ruined (including 'this poor woman'). Emily takes exception - this poor woman can speak for herself, thank you. Why is she there? Emily owed it to Patty - and is there to tell Victor that Patty WAS making progress - she was NO ticking time bomb (as he'd like everyone to believe). Spending months in therapy, Patty was motivated to get well - and then disappeared (presumably Victor's doing). When Victor objects, Jack tells Emily not to be intimidated. Emily knows Victor's a wealthy and powerful man - but there's some things he can't control - like HER.

Mac confides that the deal may not go through (as Billy's having trouble arranging financing). Maybe Chloe's just waiting until there's something to tell. Imagine them working together? But Mac thinks it a great idea. Billy's passionate about something. Chance understands why she'd be supportive - as she has something she's passionate about. I do? Mac's expression indicates she doesn't.

Nick denies it was easy for him to leave RS - but yes, he had something to go to. And as Phyllis continues to waver, Billy arrives - with a check. Problem? he asks (as the Newman's don't look enthused).

At the church, Sharon and Ashley continue their awkward conversation. Ashley wasn't sure she should visit. Sharon appreciated her note - and is getting through it. Congratulations on the baby ~hug~ Through his limited vision, Adam frowns as he watches the ladies.

Still at CL's, Chance thought Mac enjoyed volunteering at the shelter. She does - but the bar takes up a lot of time. It'll get better when Cane's back. Remembering Lily, Mac feels guilty for complaining. No - it's not fine. Oh what a horrible person Mac is. Then Chance must be too - but he too knows it's tough when your high hopes for something don't pan out.

Aside with Chloe, Billy has no idea what the hold up is. Meanwhile, Nick suggests Phyllis take some time to think it out. She's not sure why she's getting cold feet. What if Summer wants to go into the business? But, is that reason to exhaust herself for the next 15 years? Nick's the voice of reason. If Phyllis is still passionate about RS, he'll kick Billy out right now - if not, it's time to pass the torch to someone who IS. One look at the eager Billy, and Phyllis knows what she's gonna do.

Yes - Paul's had 'this woman' checked out. The well known and respected psychiatrist, Dr Peterson, is on sabbatical from the University of Minnesota. When Victor assures that her sterling reputation will be gone 'after this', Emily balks at being 'threatened'. Paul knows that Victor doesn't want Emily saying that Patty was doing well - before he got to her. Your sister WASN'T doing well - she was a psychopath, Victor argues. And who the hell is Dr P to talk about 'qualifications'. YOU, her shrink, didn't realize how dangerous Patty was!? Is she utterly incompetent - or lying to save her own ass?! Emily WAS aware of Patty's violence - but there was no indication ... Stop BS-ing me! Victor snaps - her best friend was a stuffed cat. What does THAT say?! Invited to go ahead and try having Dr P's license revoked, 'you BET' Victor will. Jack chimes in - come to me if you need friend against this 'bully'. Yeah right - Jack's the very last person she'd go to if she needed a 'friend'. Mr Newman may have taken advantage of a damaged soul - but JACK'S the one who inflicted that damage. Her accurate assessment leaves both men silent.

When Adam approaches the two women, Ashley goes back to the minister. Adam will be right there - but lingers to tell Sharon that he's to be the Godfather. Wow - that's exciting, Sharon's impressed. Adam feels more like part of the family, but doesn't know if Victor's 'pleased' (as he hasn't seen him lately). Encouraging him to do so, Sharon's thanked for her great words of advice.

Back in Victor's room, Emily continues to lecture the two men (who between them, didn't give Patty a chance). And when Jack acknowledges his role, Emily's full of scorn (for the man who went on with his life like Patty never existed). Patty tried to erase herself from existence - with help from 'HIM' (Victor's closed eyes open briefly). And now, Emily fears the woman that so many loved, may be lost forever. Eyes still closed Victor wonders if she'll be involved in Patty's treatment. Yes - she will - and having taken up enough of their time, excuses herself. Jack scolds Paul - you coulda given us a little warning. You're right, I coulda, Paul agrees, arms folded, he's unapologetic. After Jack storms out, Paul has a question for Victor - and wants a straight answer.

Phyllis approaches Billy - he has something that belongs to her - the check (while the lawyers will do the rest). Phyllis then gathers the staff to thank them for their hard work. Tearing up, she announces that their new boss is Billy Abbott. Your jobs are safe - help him out. As a weepy Phyllis wraps it up, all applaud (as Nick gives her a warm hug).

Still drinking coffee, Chance talks about being a detective - he likes being out in the field (the desk stuff, not so much). Mac can relate - but will figure it out one way or the other. After Billy calls to summon her over to RS, Chance congratulates Mac - then gives Chloe a call. And though he gives her several chances, she fails to mention that Billy's her new boss. Hanging up in a hurry, Chance gives the boxed goodies he'd purchased to a couple of customers, and marches (ripping up the card and depositing it in the trash on his way out).

Having met his new employees, Billy now props his feet up on the desk. Mac arrives with a bottle of champagne - congratulations! ~hug~ He now has to address his staff - MY staff - isn't it great to have staff? Invited to stay for champagne, Phyllis declines. It's his baby now. Take care of it, Nick says as he walks Phyllis out (cardboard box under his arm). Pausing at the elevator, Phyllis casts one last apprehensive look around.

Ashley shows Adam where he'll be standing - and he'll take his cues from the Reverend. With the instructions over, Adam's decided to take Sharon's advice - and go visit his Dad. Ashley didn't realize they were friends. He's only met her a few times - but she's easy to talk to. While Ashley's heart breaks for Sharon, Adam finds it hard to believe that such a sensitive woman was married to Nick. No - he and Vikki aren't cutting him any slack at NE. And when Adam worries that the ceremony will be hard on Victor, Ashley tells him not to - Victor always manages to come out on top. But he's flat on his back - alone - miserable, Adam responds.

Au contraire - Victor's a captive audience to Paul's ranting. And rant he does. Did Victor plan to give his sister a face that already belonged to someone else. No? Then Patty was in complete control of her actions? Meaning no one else could be responsible. How convenient for Victor. Wait a minute - Victor's not done (he calls Paul back).

Billy's first staff meeting ends in applause (when he decides work can wait til tomorrow - tonight we celebrate). Chloe's surprised when Chance shows up. Yeah - the sale went through. Chance knew - but not from Chloe. She was gonna tell him .... she just .... Who knew some sucker would trust Billy with responsibility? Some people are good at that, Chance jabs. WHEN was Chloe gonna tell him? Save the stammering - Chance doesn't wanna hear it.

Now home, Ashley welcomes Sharon in. Cardboard box in hand, Sharon's brought some things for the baby. Perhaps Ashley would like to have them? Bottles - onesies - a stuffed animal from Noah. No, Ashley's not upset - it's sweet. She's sorry their daughters won't grow up together. Both women are sad when Ashley comes across a bracelet - conveniently engraved 'Faith'.

Victor wants Paul to get in touch with Dr Peterson. Not to deliver his messages (which Paul's not willing to do) - but to hire her to treat Patty. Before of after you have her license revoked? Paul snaps. Popping his head in, Adam apologizes - but is invited to stay. Victor thinks it remarkable that Patty chose to look like Dr Peterson (not a word Paul would use). Regardless, Victor wants Dr P to treat Patty - he'll pay her salary and living expenses (at the club of course). The same room you gave Mary Jane Benson? Paul doesn't get what's in it for Victor (who claims that he wants to help his sister). Guilty? Knowing this is as close to a confession as he's gonna get, Paul tells him to keep his money - and his guilt. Now alone, Adam's curious - did he hear right? There's some woman out there who looks just like Patty Williams? He'd sure hate to be here right now.

At the club's bar, Jack joins Emily. Not denying that he followed her, Jack didn't like the way things were left. Sipping her wine, she listens as Jack claims he's no longer the boy Patty described (then gives an honest account of the despicable man he was - treating Patty with utter contempt). She has that same look in her eye now - sweet and desperate. If it matters to Jack, Emily DOES believe he's sorry. But WHY does it matter? Did Jack want to explain himself to HER (or to 'this face'). Detailing how he met, then dated MJ, Jack's then left with more to think about (when Emily observes that he cast her as 'the other woman' this time). Jack's drinking alone, Phyllis notes (but Nick doesn't want to worry about it - we're celebrating). Seated, Phyllis marvels that she doesn't have to get up in the morning - they can stay up late and sleep in. She's gonna like her new life ~kiss~

Ashley holds the bracelet - Nick said they were gonna name their baby Faith. You should keep this. maybe your right, Sharon takes it back. No - this isn't too painful - she's been through this before (and appreciates Ashley's concern). At the front door, both hear Faith's cries on the monitor. And as Ashley goes to her, Sharon pauses outside - bracelet in hand.

You're not gonna make a big deal of this are you? Chloe doesn't get it. The guy's insane. It's cute - you're a little jealous. Chance backs away from her jabs - stop. He's not jealous - he's done. She hasn't signed the divorce papers - she flirts. Their arguing might as well be foreplay. He's not blind - Billy loves that Chloe's chasing him - but that's ALL he loves. Enjoy - and good bye, Chance walks out. Across the room, Billy and Mac celebrate and kiss (and watching them, Chloe realizes she's made a mistake).

Adam thought the dead stuffed cat thing was weird - but she stole someone's face? What a freak Patty is. And when Victor wants to change the subject, Adam gives a speech about sticking by his father - just like Victor stuck by him. But when Adam talks about getting past all this, Victor interrupts - Adam hasn't even begun to make amends for the things he's done. He served only PART of his sentence (in the lap of luxury no less) - and haven't paid back a dime of the money he owes. Adam's stunned by Victor's reaction (and that he's still got a long way to go to earn his trust). Yes Sir, Adam says through clenched teeth - he'll continue to prove himself and won't let Victor down. Dismissed so that Victor can rest, the frustrated Adam bumps into a chair.

Next: As the Reverend announces that the father was unable to make it today, Victor appears (with a snooty Nikki on his arm). I'm here, he announces (causing Jack's eyebrows to shoot up his forehead) .... At RS, Billy's sharing his next RS 'tell all' with Chloe - about a smug old bastard who walked into a Christening battery powered by Colleen's heart ... You should know, You have to know now, a serious sounding Adam says to Sharon.

My Thoughts: Moment of the day goes to Phyllis - who stumbled when being seated at the club (by Nick). Given that cut backs dictate that scenes are shot without retakes, her adlib was obvious, but somehow natural (as staying in character, she joked about her clumsiness) ... Silly Adam - Sharon's not 'easy to talk to' - she's easy, period .... How does Victor expect to have a 'respected' psychiatrist stripped of her license - without revealing his involvement in Patty's downfall? And why isn't anyone, like, I dunno, her PI brother, working to prove that Victor funded Patty's surgery - and paid for her room (surely there's a paper trail or some talkative witnesses somewhere) ... Noooo - say it ain't so. Billy's at RS - Chloe's at RS - Mac's not 'passionate' about Jimmy's - and Chance doesn't like the desk part of being a detective. Please don't tell me we're in for another fighting foursome at RS. Haven't the staff been through enough infighting, their bosses swapping partners - then penning exposes about each other. Come to think of it (and based on tomorrow's preview), perhaps the Newman's should have added a clause (to the invisible contract) stipulating there's to be no expose's on their family ... Will Jack ever mention to 'Red' that it would have been nice had she gone to HIM if she ever considered selling the magazine he left so reluctantly ... Overworked at Jimmy's, Mac really thinks Cane needs to be home, moping with Lily all day? Holding her hand? Even if he IS needed all day, hello - Jimmy's is a bar (presumably busier in the evening). But regardless of the time of day, when was the last time we saw Mac actually working there? ... Newsflash to Jack - these days, most professional women don't appreciate strange men referring to them as 'sweetheart' - they might deem it somewhat derogatory ... I didn't realize you were here, Ashley says upon finding Sharon at the church. Of course not - why WOULD she expect her to be there? That said, couldn't Sharon say the same thing? Who would expect Ashley to be at church. And you'd expect Sharon, a former Newman, to be able to convince the bereavement group to come to HER ... I'm crazy, Phyllis finally acknowledges what we've all know for years. 'I did this' she proudly holds up a large cover photo. Oh really? Did you pose for the photo? Do the model's make up? Set up the backdrop? Take the photo with your own camera? ... What's the status of Nikki's editor in chief job? Shouldn't someone tell her that Billy's her new boss? Or should someone tell Billy he DOES have an editor in chief - and if he wants to find her (like to give her an assignment or sumthin') , he need only go to Victor's room at Memorial. And what a wise first executive decision - putting off work (with a deadline looming) to 'celebrate' (does that mean he's sharing the champagne with the entire staff? Or is it a BYOB celebration). I think you have something that belongs to ME, Phyllis takes the check from Billy. But wait - isn't Nick still an equal (if not silent) partner? I don't recall him signing complete ownership over to his wife ... How does Dr P figure that Patty's a woman 'so many people loved'? Other than her brother, there's not exactly a line up of loved ones clamoring to visit Patty - not even her mother. The only other person who's visited - is Jack (the man who treated her with 'utter contempt') .. Since Ashley wrote a personal check (sizeable enough to buy a magazine!), shouldn't Phyllis wait until it clears before clearing out her desk? And maybe Billy should wait before popping the cork on the bubbly. And if Ashley's THAT loaded, I still don't understand why she doesn't go buy a home of her own (instead of residing in the 'haunted house' where ghosts of Victor's exes roam) ... Chance talks about Mac's work at the homeless shelter - where she turns lives around - gives opportunitues. Yes - I recall the last 'homeless' person she tried to help was Patty Williams. And look how well THAT turned out for everyone. Lives sure WERE changed. Thanks Mac ... OK - so, Adam needs to get familiar with the church so he doesn't fall flat on his face - but apparently isn't familiar enough with the hospital (where he almost falls flat on his face - again). Adam's 'working his butt off at NE'? Funny - cause after talking into a recorder for a bit, then tattling to the SEC, he was ready to call it a day by the time Nick was off for lunch. He then spent the afternoon loitering at Sharon's. Hardly working his butt off.
