Breakfasting on leftover Halloween candy, Lily's hand is held a tad too long (when Cane hands over her meds). Sorry, Cane quickly apologizes. Lily recognizes that look - and remembers the way Cane used to look at her. In fact, she misses it.

Late opening up the boutique (as she's down two sales girls), Lauren promises to revive Mike's romantic mood later. She can't believe Mike agreed to help his mother (who's trying to call) get her Cayman money back (as it could put him in a precarious position with Victor). Lauren also wishes she'd canceled her ads in RS when Nick and Phyllis bailed out. No way she's endorsing Billy's 'garbage'.

On the CL's patio, Glo uses the public pay phone to leave a terse message for Mike (who seems to be ignoring her calls). Though Jeff's bummed about the eviction notice Phyllis somehow found time to write, Gloria's sure they'll get their Cayman money back - thanks to her new favourite person; little Billy Abbott (her beloved John's son)

Coming back to Jimmy's to get the stuff she left behind, Amber thanks Mac (who's night was a 'bust' before security woke her up to deal with them setting off the alarm). Amber realizes that Mac wants to see the good in Billy - but to the rest of the world, he's a jerk. As if to prove her case, Billy walks in (and is scolded by Mac for not saying 'Hello' to Amber). She hates me, Billy reasons. Sorry - but Mac can't say they're 'fine' - they may never be 'fine' again.

No, Abby doesn't want breakfast - not if it includes a talk on underage drinking (which she wasn't doing). Because Amber and Chloe made sure of it, Ashley somehow knows (and is worried Abby will jeopardize her future). Abby doesn't believe Victor cares about her (as he's gone to Europe with Nikki - for what? Months?). Can I go now? she whines about being late for class. Come home right after school, Ashley orders after her.

Thank God there's no school, Noah assures his Mom that he stayed out of trouble last night. He's not looking forward to the other kids making digs about his Grandpa - and spending time at the hospital got him behind on his homework (which luckily Eden will help him with). Sharon tells the concerned Noah that she wasn't alone last night - friends came over and she had a nice time.

In Victor's office, Nick takes his spot behind the great man's desk. I'm gonna make you proud, he tells the framed photo of him and his Dad. You too, he adds (as he props up one of him, Phyllis and Summer). As he reads the congratulatory card that came with a large floral bouquet, Adam arrives (as summoned) - only to be told to stay away from Sharon. Adam doesn't think it his call - they're just friends (and he'd never hurt her). Probably what he said to Heather, Nick assumes. Good thing Adam will be so busy with a PR junket. And he better learn to shut up and follow orders. Dismissed, Adam tells Nick to enjoy his father's chair - while it lasts.

Well, well, well - here's Mike - to visit his soon to be homeless Mother. Perhaps his pal Phyllis, could give them a break. When Mike offers to pay their rent for one month, Jeff demands cash - while Glo rejects a hand out - she wants justice. With Victor coming out of it smelling like a rose, Glo insists Mike 'nudge' the SEC (into reimbursing the victims). Mike will pass along any information he can (without sabotaging Victor). And now, he's late for a meeting (which Gloria knows is with the SEC). After Mike leaves, Glo assures that Mike will never let her down - this might turn out better than they even imagined.

At the boutique, Amber admires one of her creations; a leather jackets on display. There's two dozen or so in the back, but 'it's not you, Lauren's quick to assure - it's the economy. But does she still want a job? I'll take it, Amber giggles ~hug~

Lily reminds Cane that they renewed their vows - but skipped the honeymoon. According to the doctor, it's not 'too soon'. With Cane reluctant, Lily initiates a kiss. But the Ashby's are immediately interrupted by a knock on the door. 'It's Roxy and Devon'.

Working at the bar, Billy once again to strike up conversation with the frosty Mac. But she doesn't want to continue the pattern (of Billy screwing up and her being disappointed). It's not just about the magazine - she's somewhat jealous that his life at least has purpose (while hers doesn't). When Sharon comes in, Billy assumes she's there to get back to the job she once loved. But no - she's there to quit.

At CL's, Abby joins Noah and Eden. Yes - she's grounded - but her Mom's so busy with Faith that she's clueless about her school schedule (and should be able to 'coast' for weeks). Joining them, Daisy greets Abby and Noah. And when Eden snarls that what they did last night was stupid, Noah reminds that they crashed last year's Halloween party. When Daisy wonders if she can get a job there, Abby suggests Eden can put in a good word. But Eden claims Kevin's already got a full staff - of kids who NEED jobs - not kids who just wanna score free drinks. FYI - Daisy's on a full scholarships (and needs money for food, clothes - and shoes). Abby joins in - to diss Eden for her lack of fashion sense (causing Noah to frown disapprovingly).

Ashley's impressed to find Nick at home behind Victor's desk - but where's HER quarterly report? She may be divorcing Victor, but not walking way from NE (or her seat on the board). Like it or not, you're stuck with me. Squirming, Nick gives an awkward grin in response. Keeping it light and friendly, Ashley intends to make a difference in the company (though assures she isn't out for revenge). Nick can relate - he doesn't plan on being just a figurehead. Both are spreading their wings - and look forward to what each have planned for NE. Yeah, Ashley DOES think it time NE went in a different direction.

Back at CL's, Daisy informs that she was told to try again in six months - like she can wait that long to get a job. Amber comes over - why the long faces? A job? She has just the thing for a fellow fashionista. In fact, she'll even take Daisy over to Lauren's boutique. Daisy would rather go alone - and so takes the address. Wish me luck. Still seated, Eden snarls 'that girl's the last thing Lauren needs. You don' even know her, Abby protests. Neither do YOU, Eden retorts.

Sharon confirms she does indeed have a problem with Billy's article. He trashed her son's grandfather and uncle (for no good reason). No reason? Billy balks - Victor still had Colleen's blood on his hands when he took her heart. This is about revenge? or you need to cut people down to be the big man? Sharon knows the answer - but why hurt Noah or Abby? She can't work for Billy (and no longer recognizes the magazine she once loved). As Sharon marches out, Billy's quip to Mac falls flat - at least I didn't get slapped this time.

How wonderful - Roxanne's brought over some soup, full of leafy greens (which her research tells her is good for cancer patients). Barely listening, Lily and Cane are obviously distracted - and eager to get rid of Devon and Roxy. Finally, with subtle hints failing, Lily conjures up a fake yawn - and opening the door, politely gets rid of them. And now it's back to making out for the Ashby's (as Cane carries Lily to the bedroom).

At the boutique, Lauren trashes a copy of RS. She's about to march out when Daisy comes in - all star struck as she gushes compliments over the 'gorgeous' Lauren Fenmore. Yes - she knows Amber. They met last night, but it feels like she's known her forever. Grabbing a broach, Daisy babbles about the original - a 1920's Chanel - vintage yet timeless. Daisy has no retail experience - but picks up fast. You won't be sorry. Lauren takes her name and number - if Amber gives her a thumbs up, she's hired. I'll be in touch. And now - it's time for Lauren to go give someone a piece of her mind.

Entering the CEO's office, Mike congratulates Nick. He's just come from a meeting with the SEC. Thanks to Billy's article, they focused on the Cayman bank matter. It's very hard to prove Victor had no 'insider' knowledge. There's a lot of public sympathy towards those who lost their shirts - and the SEC's pressured to pursue those who didn't. Bottom line? It'll cost us - big, Mike concludes.

Sharon's so excited - and who else is she gonna call to come over? Adam, that's who. It felt great letting Billy have it. What's wrong? Adam's thinking of what HE put Victor through. Yeah, but YOU feels remorse, Sharon waves it off. Adam warns that if Sharon keeps being so nice to him, Nick's gonna flip out. He already warned me. He did WHAT?! Adam can't really blame Nick - but to guarantee that he stays away - he's being sent out of town. Adam's there to say 'good bye'.

Back in his office, Nick wonders how to make the Cayman debacle disappear. Repay the money Victor withdrew, Mike advises. But how can Nick come up with this money? Should he close divisions? Lay people off? Just because some THINK Victor's guilty? Mike insists - this is the only option.

Still getting nowhere with Mac, Billy's then confronted by Lauren who's pulling all future Fenmore ads from RS. Billy's unconcerned - having sold more copies than ever, 'ma'am' actually got a bargain from him. Lauren respects her clientele - and won't choose sensationalism over substance. What he did to Victor and Victoria - disgusting. Have a good night, Billy sends her marching out (while Mac continues to stew).

Cane's in bed with Lily. Bald and with a port in her abdomen where poison gets pumped in, she feels like an alien. It's like a Star Trek episode. He's Kirk - to her Klingon At least Klingon's don't have to worry about birth control. Cane tells Lily how beautiful she is. Being with her is a gift he never thought he'd have again. You won't 'mess this up' Lily assures ~kiss~

As Daisy thanks Amber for whatever she said (to Lauren) that got her the job, Eden scowls - whoo hoo. As Amber goes for latte's, Abby speaks of reinstating her Fenmore's account. Oh oh - doesn't look like she'll be out shopping anytime soon. Ashley storms in - she remembers what it's like to be a teenager - so is trying hard not to embarrass Abby in front of her friends. No - she's not leaving. WE'RE leaving - right now.

On the patio, the Baldwin's approach Gloria and Jeff. Mike announces that the SEC will expect compensation from Newman - it would behoove those who lost money to get in line when the cash gets handed out. Loverman - we're not gonna be poor anymore, Glo's delighted. And when Lauren prods her to thank 'someone', Gloria clinks her mug with Jeffrey's - ah yes, thanks to Billy Abbott.

Meanwhile, Billy's finally starting to realize his folly (in trying to take on the Newman's) - is even God on Victor's payroll? Wrapping her arms around his neck, Mac loves Billy - jumping into things he may come off as cocky - but she knows he's just 'hopeful' - and she also knows he's hurt that this isn't working out. When Colleen was in the hospital, he never gave up. And if Colleen was alive - she'd say that the articles aren't all Billy is - he just needs to see that too.

In the office, Nick stares at his father's portrait ~sigh~ and now seated, another sigh as he stares at the desktop photo. Another arrangement is placed on Nick's desk. Without reading the card inside the tiny envelope attached, he tosses it aside - with yet another sigh. Oh what's a boy to do.

Power must be going to Nick's head. Sharon thinks it ridiculous for him to send Adam out of town so they can't be friends. Aw shucks - Adam needs to get out a bit anyway. Wow - what a 'good sport' Sharon sure will miss him ~hug~ I'd better go, Adam seems unsettled and awkward - I better go. Have a safe trip, Sharon says (then looks somehow spooked).

Next: Neil looks stunned as Lily (sitting beside Cane) announces that they renewed their vows.... I have a daughter out there somewhere, Kay frets. The one you thought was me, Jill adds ... I just thought I could be myself around you, Chloe's telling Chance. We should go, Philip tells Nina. Yeah - why don't you just run, Chance shouts at him - cause it's what you're SO good at, alright?

My Thoughts: What happened to Lauren's incredible people instincts? The ones that tell her Ryder's no good? The transparent Daisy 'Haskell' all but gushed 'that's a lovely dress you're wearing Mrs Cleaver' ... Lily whines that the trick or treaters took all the chocolate caramels - but wasn't she the one dishing it out? Does she not know the protocol? Good stuff is saved for last - or the kids with great costumes? (with the rockets and molasses kisses going to those 6 ft 'kids' - the ones who don't even bother to dress up) .... How COULD Lauren pull her ads - there was no warning to advertisers - i doubt the clientele assume she endorses Billy's 'garbage' - plus - did she pull her ads before Billy took over? It was last minute - and advertisers weren't notified. Plus, she's likely under a one year contract ... Jeff's surprised that Phyllis had time to write an eviction notice? How long does it take to type out 'You have 60 days to vacate'. Looks like Jeff's notice is a few pages long. At least Phyllis was smart enough to give written notice - unlike her husband, who gave Billy a verbal 15 minutes .... Ironic to hear Marina, I mean Amber saying that 'the rest of the world' thinks Billy a jerk .. Why is Mac scolding Billy for not saying 'Hi' to Amber? Now he needs her approval on who he's allowed to snub? know has to get her approval on THAT now too? ... What changed Mac's mind? One minute she's not sure they'll EVER be fine - the next she's forgiving him? I guess all Billy has to do is put his head down, look defeated and oh so sorry - and he's in the clear? If Mac's convinced he's sincere - why not ask Billy to issue a an apology in next month's issue - and the website (from which he could easily remove the Vikki video) ... If Mac's won over by Billy showing mild regret (at taking on the Newman's) why doesn't she nag him to print a retraction/apology on next month's issue - or pull the article (and photos) off the website? ... When did Eden become the angelic student? Wasn't SHE the one who brought alcohol to the lake for skating? .... How did Ashley find out that Amber and Chloe prevented Abby from drinking? Chance didn't tell her - and she has no occasion to chat with either Amber or Chloe ... 'I feel John' Gloria purrs to Jeff - cause doesn't every current husband want to hear that his wife 'feels' her dearly departed husband? ... How convenient for Billy that Mac owns a bar - which he liberally helps himself to ... How selfish of Abby to whine that Victor's going to be gone for months - he's entering a rehab facility to recover from heart surgery , not playing tourist (yet anyway) ... Understatement of the day goes to Sharon (in telling Noah that things have been 'unsettled' lately) - and then Nick tells Adam that Sharon's been through a lot (he'd know - cause he caused or contributed to her ordeal - the rest, brother Adam's responsible for). I'd never hurt her, Adam says with a straight face (cause stealing the newborn she carried for 8 months isn't 'hurtful') ... How did Noah get so far behind on his homework while Grandpa was in the hospital? He never once showed up to visit ... Nick claims to be oh so busy at NE - but is then shown doing nothing but sighing and staring at photos. And couldn't he find a more current and better photo of his new family? Summer's barely visible in her car seat ... There's the door, Nick dismisses Adam. He's blind - he can't see where 'there' is. Luckily Adam's been shown that door often enough to memorize where it is ... Glo really thinks that since Phyllis is Mike's BF, she should get a 'break'? But she doesn't want a break in the rent - she wants to be totally relived of it. You'd think that since they ARE such good pals, Phyllis would have mentioned it to Mike - before evicting his mother ... A bank closing is hardly a 'tragedy' - unless it's closed because of a hurricane in the Cayman's that killed hundreds - now THAT'S a tragedy. The public is 'sympathetic' to those who lost their shirts when the bank went under? More like the public is suspicious of those who keep offshore accounts ... After whining about the economy, why does Lauren all but shove whom she believes to be a customer out the door (to go rant n rave at Billy)? And is she's that savvy a businesswoman, why does she 'move' two employees to her Madison store, BEFORE hiring and training replacement workers? ... Isn't it about time Mac takes down that Billy's Halloween 'extravaganza' banner down? You'd think they'd be eager to remove the reminder of the dull event .. Today Noah reminds Eden that they crashed the Halloween party last year - but yesterday, Eden was accurate in saying they never made it past the bouncer ... Your Dad doesn't like change, Ashley tells Nick - except when it comes to wives that is (cause those he likes to change annually) ...Sharon tells Billy that she never had a chance yesterday (to tell him she was resigning) - how long does it take say 'I quit'. And oh how much she loved RS - a much classier publication before Billy's exposes (except for the editor's letter that described her as a vacillating, hair chewing, child bride). It was her 'whole life' for a 'long time' (never mind that she never really had a role - and that it's only on it's 5th issue) ... Devon and Roxy are supposed to be educated young people - how could they not take a hint? ... Sharon and Adam's hug sure ended abruptly and uncomfortably - almost like something came between them (so to speak - if you know what I mean) ... How is it that Nick can't make restitution for the Cayman fiasco - without laying people off - yet Ashley has enough in her personal savings account to buy Billy a magazine? .... Where did Lily get the idea that Klingons don't need birth control? Is she a Trekkie? Is she saying all Klingons are infertile? ...Amber goes to get lattes 'for everyone' - never mind that everyone already HAS beverages - and that she's only gonna be earning minimum wage ... Adam's happy to be sent on this 'PR junket' - cause he can now experience the world. I don't think that's what Nick had in mind ... Nick claims the reason he's upset about Adam hanging out at Sharon's is because of the risk that he'll negatively 'influence' Noah. Is he forgetting that Noah's been living at the ranch for months - actually under the same roof as Adam. Why wasn't it a concern THEN? ... OK - I'm confused about the time on today's show - Lily's eating candy 'for breakfast' - but Billy tells Lauren to 'have a good night' - then takes a swig of his beer. Either it's an incredibly short day - or Billy's really amping up his alcoholic intake ... Sorry for the delay today - my laptop's misbehaving (and Sharon didn't come over to fix it with a few taps of her expert fingers).
